“The hotel is old and badly needs to be updated. The bathroom was small and cramped. Paid parking was very expensive. The swimming pool was old and had holes that hurt my kids feet in the bottom of it. On top of it all the other guest were very loud. I will never recommend this hotel.”

• The front desk staff was rude. The hotel did not have a hot tub in either the pool or fitness area.

“We were dissatisfied with the service received and were disturbed by the room's shower as the shower head was coated with soap scum and was breaking off from the wall. Additionally there was a very noisy party going on in the room next to us, and our complaints to the front desk were not met with a response by hotel staff.”

• Staff friendliness and cookies.
• Bathroom really small. Hotel definitely shows age.

“The hotel has good and bad things. It is not as bad as some make it look, but it is not great either. I had to play with the tub faucet for 5 minutes to get a comfortable water level. You'd also expect at least a discounted parking rate at the adjacent parking lot. The hotel, however, is convenient to the airport and other amenities.”

• The restaurant was amazing, very good chef.
• No free internet, $9 parking per day, one night room above us leaked over our tub.

“The cleanliness was very good & the restaurant was amazing but where as most places these days have free internet & a free breakfast of some kind. At Doubletree it was $9.95 a day for internet, just 2 free cookies & $9 a day to park, not impressed!”

“The room was comfortable but on our second night we were awakened around 3 am by loud people in the next room. We had to call the front desk twice before anyone came up and then the noise did not quiet for almost an hour.”

• Huge room/suite; yummy cookies; very clean; great pool and
  quiet.
• Water pressure in the shower was very low. This would be my only complaint.

“The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The room far exceeded my expectations. It was a HUGE suite with wet bar, microwave, fridge, walk-in closet. Very comfortable bed. Very clean, even the carpet. LOVED it! Was very relaxing weekend away.”

• The weight room on the second floor was top notch.
• Dirty rooms, old carpet, fuzzy TV, thugs down 16th street.

“This hotel is not 3 stars. It is dirty, the carpets are at least 20 years old, no Wi-Fi in the lobby, fuzzy TV, lack of channels, and staff treats you like a problem when you have a request. Basically, avoid this hotel if you can. Stay in the Old Market area, this hotel is on 16th street where you may not feel comfortable or safe.”

• The staff was fantastic!
• The room felt old, dirty and smelled very smoky.

“The climate control in the room did not work. The room felt and looked run down. There was heavy smoke smell in the hall and room. The TV was old. With that said the bed was very nice and clean.”

• Staff were very helpful in giving directions to find stores/restaurants in the area. Awesome workout room.
• Breakfast in the hotel was fairly pricey for a family with kids, especially compared to how cheaply it could be obtained nearby.

“Great location in downtown Omaha, convenient to zoo and stadium. Parking available, rooms nice and clean, fun pool, great workout area, helpful staff!”

• Clean and friendly staff. Would stay here again.
• We opened a bottle of water we thought was "complimentary" but it was chargeable and the parking fees.

“Very nice stay, but didn't read the fine print on a bottle of water we thought was "complimentary". Therefore, was charged for that and for the parking. I would stay here again. Overall was nice, clean, and friendly service.”

• Warm chocolate chip cookies at check in.
• Revolving door let you out at the entrance only door. It was not an intuitive direction.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. Parking was somewhat difficult to find the first night in the parking garage due to a large convention. It was better the next couple of days, however. The hotel made it easy to pay for exiting the garage by giving voucher coupons and charging the daily rate on the bill. The bed was great and there were plenty of pillows. The bathroom did have some mold/bacteria on the shower head, but other than that all was lovely.”

• The room was appointed nicely and we appreciated the quality of the in-room coffee and that there was tea.
• Upon check-in we did not have any hot water to shower with. We managed to sponge bathe in order to get to our event; maintenance fixed it later.

“The swimming pool was filled with green water that smelled of chlorine down the hallway - someone needs to have pool management training for the safety of the guests. In the middle of the night someone was playing very loud Indian music - I did not call downstairs as I was afraid that I might further awaken my own family by doing so.”

• The bed and pillows were very nice and comfy. The shower was awesome.
• The noise factor of others in the hallway and next door were loud.

“The Doubletree Hotel in Omaha was a nice, well-kept place to stay. It is preferable if you have things to do downtown or in Council Bluffs, IA. There is available parking, but it is in an adjacent parking garage. You are charged $7 and given passes to go in and out at your leisure. This wasn't the most convenient option.”

• Staff did not address a problem and were very rude.

“After staying our first night and arriving back at the hotel room late for our second night we found that our room had not been cleaned. After talking with staff, we learned we had needed to check out and then check back in. My husband asked if we could simply have towels sent up to the room and the front desk employee was most rude and unkind to my spouse. When I went to the front desk to talk with the manager, three staff members were making fun of him. I apologized if he had seemed abrupt, but it was late and explained how he had been offended. The staff members still were quite rude although they did offer two breakfasts complimentary. Despite this, we don't plan to stay at this hotel again.”

“The location could not be better - the lobby is nice, beds were very comfortable, overall a bit shabby (carpet) and dirty carpet in the hallways, needed vacuuming, looked like it had not been done for quite a while.”

“The Doubletree was updated and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The location is within walking distance to restaurants and entertain and very convenient to major highways. It is a short drive to other Omaha sites (zoo, baseball, etc).”
