“Good value for the money. Rooms that have double beds are bigger in size than those that have single bed.” May 24, 2009 by
Melodie from Milaca,MN
“Public areas of hotel were very attractive. Room was only average with nice bedding/pillows. Shower and bathroom looked lovely, but highly inefficient - remodeled by someone who had never used the design. Poor shower and sink design. Staff acted like they had never seen a large family (seven total in two rooms)before - very condescending and rude. Do you have a reservation here? Have received better service at more expensive hotels (and inexpensive hotels) than this one. For that much attitude they should update their elevators, television sets and toiletries to say the least.” Dec 13, 2006 by
Sarah from Winterset, IA
“This hotel was dirty, dingy, and the staff was extremely rude. There were no amenities to speak of. The dining area looked more like a lobby. The name was changed, so I wasted an hour looking for the hotel. Sheraton dint notified us of the name change. The room was run down, wallpaper was torn, and the bathroom was filthy, mold on the shower tiles, hair on the floors in the corners. The hallways were dark and dingy; the doors had wood chips and nicks in them. Parking was inconvenient, and we had to pay 7.00 to park in an uncovered parking lot. The front desk guy was a complete jerk.” Dec 10, 2006 by
Anne from Kansas City, MO
“Overall, it was pleasant, but certainly not worth the regular price. Also, it is no longer the Sheraton. It is now the magnolia and the name change caused some initial confusion for us.” Nov 21, 2006 by
Roger from Omaha, NE
“Perfect in most respects. Other than the noisy furnace, the windows in need of cleaning, and the small water stain on the ceiling, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, or recommend this hotel to friends.” Nov 21, 2006 by
Kyle from Sioux Falls, SD
“We enjoyed our stay.” Nov 16, 2006 by
William from Hartington, NE
“Very pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed the architecture of the building. Meal prices kind of high.” Nov 2, 2006 by
Gene from Sioux Falls, SD
“This is a good motel, but I think we hit it at a time where it could use some repairs. I would still recommend it because of the friendly staff and amenities.” Nov 2, 2006 by
Darrel from Flandreau, SD
“But on Saturday night we were awakened at 1; 30 in the am. With vulgar language and banging on our walls of our rooms. We let this continue about 30 to 40 minutes, and then we called the front desk to tell them that something had to be done with the noise and shouting of vulgarity outside our room. This continued for approx 30 minutes. The next morning I went to the front desk to remark on the horrible night. And the staff wasn't even aware that anything had happened during the night. They had just come on duty that Sunday morning. ” Oct 26, 2006 by
Laurie from Hermantown, MN
“Location to the Qwest Center and downtown shopping area is great. Security is good. Hotel is quiet and rooms are comfortable. Hotel employees were friendly and accommodating.” Oct 25, 2006 by
Russell from St Louis, MO
“I have no complaints about the comfort of the hotel. The room was clean. Areas of mold growing on the bathroom ceiling, but no problem for me.” Oct 24, 2006 by
Doug from South Sioux City, NE
“It would be a very nice place for a romantic getaway. The rooms are very spacious and nice. The beds are very comfortable and it is a quiet hotel. A super location being close to the Old Market, Zoo, and other downtown attractions. Some downsides are that there is no pool or public hot tub. The value of the in hotel restaurant is poor. The breakfast buffet was almost $11 and it was just breakfast meat, potatoes, and scrambled eggs. We had to order off the menu to get the kids some pancakes and that cost an extra $9. I was disappointed in that.” Oct 19, 2006 by
Lauren from Austin, TX
“I enjoyed this quaint hotel. I found it excellent for families with young children as their is an enclosed courtyard where the kiddos can run free. The breakfast buffet was expensive, but with kid's eating free, $22 for a family of 4 is rather reasonable! I found the rooms quaint and the beds comfy. There are not a ton of amenities and I would not prefer this hotel for business travel as there is not free wireless internet access. The bathrooms could use some serious updating as well, but it is functional. The friendly staff made up for the areas where the hotel was lacking. We enjoyed our stay!” Oct 17, 2006 by
Jay from Granger, IA
“Poor communication from staff. Our entire door lock was removed. We were told repair person would " be right back". 6 hours later after contacting the desk we were relocated to another room with out apology.” Oct 5, 2006 by
Timothy from Marysville, KS
“Located in the heart of downtown Omaha. Older building, on historical hotels registry. Rooms are large and clean. Lacks handicap accessibility due to age of building.” Sep 28, 2006 by
Carol from Overland Park, KS
“I previously lived in Omaha and remember the Aquilia Court, and have fond memories. The location was great along with parking. The breakfast buffet could use an upgrade.” Sep 27, 2006 by
Tim from Dubuque, IA
“Managers arguing with employees on phone trying to get them to leave the bar they were at so they could work the next day for someone else.” Sep 27, 2006 by
Gordon from Lenexa, KS
“This is a nice facility just a few blocks west of the Old Market area lots of restaurants and south of the major downtown offices. It is more suited to business and adults than children. There is a good bar, excellent restaurant, and 24hr fitness center. But, they don't have a pool and it would be a little difficult to unload a lot of luggage and get it to the elevators.” Sep 19, 2006 by
Kurt from Des Moines, IA
“It has a nice, classic and classy feel. It's an easy walk to the Old Market area of town (maybe four blocks. The hotel restaurant didn't look like much, but we didn't eat there, so maybe it's not fair to judge.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Michael from Minneapolis, MN
“For the price I paid the hotel was very nice. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was nice, etc. It is also in a charming old building with a lot of character. My only issue with the place (and probably the reason the rates are so good) is that it is about 3 blocks away from being in a really nice part of downtown Omaha. My guess is that Star wood speculated on which way downtown would grow and they guessed wrong (it moved up the river rather than away from it). Overall a good stay - especially if you don't mind walking a bit. Also - the Flatiron restaurant (out the front door of the hotel - left one block) is excellent.” Sep 8, 2006 by
Andrea from Littleton, CO
“The hotel had a slightly shabby, run-down elegance. Our room was spacious with high-ceiling. The bed was comfortable with excellent pillows, but poorly made--the sheets pulled out and started to bunch up before I had rolled over the first time! All the furniture was nicked and worn. Bathroom was tiny with old-fashioned shower curtain that stuck to you and the grout was grimy. Not what I would have expected from a Sheraton. It was worth the $65 we paid, but not more...” Sep 8, 2006 by
Joni from Clay Center, NE
“Nice staff, beautiful art work in hotel.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Kevin O. from Des Moines, IA
“Elegant, historic, great location.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Chris from Fremont, NE

Stephanie from Bonner Springs, KS
“The location is excellent for anyone want to enjoy the Old Market district. We were three block away. The hotel itself is charming as it is an older hotel on the Historic Register. The rooms were a little worn around the edges, but the linens were clean and of a nice quality. Both our rooms had high ceilings and large windows with great views. We overlooked a pretty courtyard. We were very comfortable. The front desk person told us to help ourselves to the breakfast buffet the next morning. To me, that implied it was included in the room. Luckily, I checked and it was $10.95 per person for a skimpy breakfast buffet. It was definitely a good place to stay.” Sep 6, 2006 by
Donna from York, PA
“Overall, this hotel is great. It's older but very modernized. We stayed here the same night as a wedding was going on. It was great to be around all of that excitement. But, we were staying on the second floor above the ballroom and the DJ's music kept us awake until midnight. Also, the air conditioner didn't cool the room correctly. Great location and nice to walk around downtown and old market.” Aug 31, 2006 by
Brad from New York, NY
“This is a beautiful historic hotel, which is in need of a slight sprucing and some TLC. Clean, pretty well-maintained, but just a little worn in some places.” Aug 30, 2006 by
Ami from Boulder, CO
“I enjoyed the look of the hotel and the location. It was the cleanliness and hotel staff that turned my opinion to negative. When I asked one staff member for recommendations, she replied, "There are a lot of restaurants" and handed me a list of 30. Our air conditioner broke. We informed the staff just before we left for dinner. Upon our return, I asked the front desk if it had been fixed. The woman present just said curtly, "I just started my shift; there is no way I would know about that." The room was filthy. Weird stains on the duvet, in very plain sight. There is no way that the maid would have missed it, they just didn't care. The shower was moldy and barely worked. The water covered your ankles due to bad draining in the tub. The carpet was stained as were the drapes. We really weren't impressed.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 26, 2006 by
Andrew from Le Mars, IA
“The hotel seemed more likely to be geared for business travelers than leisure/family groups.” Aug 23, 2006 by
Peggy F. from Burwell, NE
“See No. 13.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Ben from Manhattan, KS
“Over-all experience pretty good. It's proximity to the fire-station was bothersome when the fire engines were out almost once an hour at night.” Aug 9, 2006 by
Nancy from Charlotte, NC
“There was a male working at the front desk who ignored my request for a shuttle service the hotel advertised and was one of the reasons I wanted to stay there. I did not have my own transportation and the man was unwilling to check on the shuttle when I was trying to return to the hotel and left me stranded because he said he was too busy. He did nothing until my husband called him and demanded the shuttle.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 8, 2006 by

“Continued from #13. . . the room. There was a parking fee which was not disclosed as part of the overall offer. Would not likely stay at the hotel in the future.” Jul 31, 2006 by
Lori from Raleigh, NC
“This hotel has a lot of character. The room was small but very charming. The bed was very comfy. Very unique hotel that I wouldn't hesitate to stay in again.” Jul 27, 2006 by
Ronald from Des Moines, IA
“Overall a very good night stay.” Jul 26, 2006 by
S from Douglasville, GA
“A beautiful hotel in a great location. Shopping, entertainment, and dining all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.” Jul 26, 2006 by
Cindy from St. Marys, KS
“The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. I enjoyed the courtyard view from my room. A nice place to stay.” Jul 26, 2006 by
Miranda from Grand Island, NE
“The overall atmosphere of the hotel was nice. But I was not impressed with the rooms. The hallways smelled very badly and the rooms were small and dingy. The key card machine was broken when we checked in so when we returned to our later that night we had to stand on the street and wait for hotel staff to come and let us into the hotel and up into our room.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Sheri from Grand Island, NE
“This hotel was very dirty. Not only the room but the whole hotel. Room was very small for a three star hotel. I would not recommend anyone to stay at the Sheraton Hotel in Omaha NE. ” Jul 25, 2006 by
Carri from Milligan, NE
“This hotel was okay, but I was expecting more. The hallways, rooms and elevator all could have used some updating. Fresh paint and wallpaper would have made a huge difference. Overall, I wasn't dissatisfied with the hotel, but not as pleased as I have been with other hotels in the same area where I have paid the same price.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Weeb from Boise, ID
“This hotel is about to be sold according to staff and apparently my experience (ie, excellent room and clean comfortable beds) was the exception. We were in a handicap accessible room. Overall the hotel has wonderful character of age (ie, its older but quality building still keeps it a good experience.) I believe its in transition and could be an excellent experience pending on who buys it and how much they want to restore it. ” Jul 19, 2006 by
Lisa from Laurel, NE
“Staff was very friendly and accommodation even at the very late arrival that we had. I work at one of the local University ER's and it was close to work, comfortable and clean...just plain awesome!” Jul 13, 2006 by
Tina from Grain Valley, MO
“Excellent hotel especially for business travelers. liked that it still resembles the buildings age (historic).” Jul 7, 2006 by
Kim from Norfolk, NE
“Nice historically, but not nice for staying. Could hear everything going on and not up to date furnishings.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 7, 2006 by
Lacey from Ames, IA
“Overall the hotel had a very unique atmosphere and it fit the downtown area very well. The courtyard and lobby areas were amazing. After staying there I agreed with other reviews that I read I would have been irritated if I had paid the full price to stay there. The TV stand still had half eaten food in it from previous guests. I thought that was pretty disgusting. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and it met our needs.” Jul 6, 2006 by
Cheryl from West Chester, OH
“Conveniently located, reasonably priced, business hotel with high speed internet, comfortable beds with comforters, quiet location.” Jul 5, 2006 by
Heidi from Ponca, NE
“ok overall.” Jun 17, 2006 by
James from Tulsa, OK
“Good location, great beds, nothing fancy and lacking amenities - a 3 star max.” Jun 16, 2006 by
Greg from Cairo, NE
“Overall good value, bathroom could use small maintenance items. Beds very comfortable.” Jun 16, 2006 by
Kevin from Bloomington, IN
“The hotel staff were friendly and nice, made every effort to make a late check in easier. I read in previous reviews staff was slow or unresponsive - this is not my experience. I liked it and would stay again.”
