• Cleanliness, hrs of the pool and the jacuzzi.

“Due to the fact that I-244 was closed for repairs, I had to drive through some rather scary neighborhoods to get to it. The hotel, however, was very nice and the staff friendly and helpful.”

• Nice, large and comfortable room.
• Wi-Fi was not free. Parking was not free. Indoor pool was not heated due to upkeep.

• They gave us warm cookies!
• The bathroom in our hotel was not clean.

“Nice accommodations. Pictures in the hotel room were very dated, but everything else was up-to-date. Even trendy pictures just brought it down a notch. The bathroom in our room was not clean. Also, considering the star level, I think free Wi-Fi should have been included. It is at most other hotels. But, Doubletree charges $9.95 per day for its use in your hotel room. It's free to use the Wi-Fi in the lobby.”

• The room was fantastic.
• The pool area was less than desirable, Roof leaking, Mold etc.

“Fantastic with the exception of the aforementioned pool issues. Roof leaking water everywhere, paint and stuff peeling away, evidence of mold issues which aggravated my daughters allergy problems.”

• The common/public areas were clean and inviting.
• I would have liked to have had ethernet jacks in the rooms rather than wireless. I could easily hear people as they passed our door in the hallway.

• The swimming pool and hot tub were fantastic.
• You could hear everything in the next room.

“We were checked in promptly with no problems. Our room was clean and conveniently arranged. It was easy to figure out how to get any services we needed. The front desk personnel were quick to ask if we needed anything, but we were not pestered.”

• It was quiet and the coffee was good in the room.
• The bathroom had not been swept and we went for breakfast, but they closed it down 5 minutes after we sat down
  at 9:30 am.

• Location.
• They charge for seperately for everything: local telephone, long distance calls, parking, internet, newspaper.

“Charges extra for local and long distance calls, parking, internet, dayly newspaper. You have to tell them if you want YOU have to tell them if you want bed linens changed; had to remind to bring instant coffe and tea to the room. One micorware in the lobby; no refrigerator.”

• It is just a real good hotel.
• No good atmosphere places near by to walk to.
  

“It is a nice hotel and what you would expect from Doubletree, but there is only one good place near by to walk to for dinner and a drink or 2. This has more to do with down town Tulsa than the hotel.

• The warm chocolate chip cookie I got when checking in!
• The shower drain was very clogged - I spent my shower standing in several inches of water.

“The facilities were quite nice - not stupendous, but nice. The staff could have been more professional, and it really would have been nice if the shower wasn't clogged. Otherwise it was a good experience.”

• The bed was very comfortable with selection of pillows to use.
• The bathtub was chipped and discolored.

“The motel was very nice, clean and comfortable. There were probably 5-6 pillows for each bed so you could choose the kind you wanted plus use an extra one for your back or knees. I didn't get a chance to use the pool or workout room but both looked very adequate. I did notice the bathtub was chipped and had some discoloration. There is road construction in the area and was a challenge to get to it. The warm chocolate chip cookie was scrumptious.”

• Hotel was an older property and the rooms needed a lot of cosmetic work. Bathroom was very dated. Not a smoke free facility.

“The Doubletree Downtown hotel in Tulsa is a great value for the price. We have stayed here several times and truly enjoyed our stay. The staff are always friendly. It is a clean hotel from the lobby to the exercise facility to your room and to the parking garage. It was so quiet even though the hotel was booked solid. The rooms were nice. My only negative is that it is time to update the bathrooms. I would recommend the hotel to anyone!”

• The air conditioner was low output and did not keep the room as cool as it could have.

• The temperature controls are good and the beds are very comfortable.
• The parking fee for the garage is expensive for the area and the local calls were 75 each.

“This hotel is a high class stay and the staff was courteous with a smile and helpful presence. Though the parking is overprice and they charge for local calls. My stay was cool overall and the room satisfied my basic needs.”

• The bed was comfy.
• The toilet tank was barely on the toilet.

“The staff was unfriendly and not helpful. My key card never worked after I would return to the hotel. The location was nice. The cookies were nice. The bathroom was small and the toilet ran all the time. I thought the toilet might break whenever I used it. The maid was very nice and accommodating. In the evening we asked the front desk for a paper, they said they were all in the coffee shop that was attached to the front desk. The coffee shop happened to be closed but they had a doorway into it.”

• The bathroom light was located inside room by toilet closet, not able to turn light on to see way into room.

“The rooms amenities were good, the bed linens, pillows and mattress were excellent. The pool was indoors and had shower locker rooms available so didn't have to travel back to room in wet suits. Very pleased with our stay and will return in the future.”

“At check in the woman assisting me left to talk to the people at the counter beside me to answer their question about sushi. This hotel said it was less than 0.5 miles from the PAC, but it was closer to a mile. There was no valet parking and then they have the nerve to charge for parking yourself! The bartender was great in the lounge and the room was clean. Doubt I would stay here again, though.”

“Nice hotel with god amenities. I suspect relies on location to convention centre rather than service for repeat business. Some staff was polite but in general the reception staff was not. Internet should not be charged for in the rooms.”

“Stayed May 24, 2008. Hotel appeared very nice at first. For a nicer looking place like this, my first indication that things might not be so great was the front desk staff; they surely weren't focused on customer service. As for the room, I was in a king non-smoking. The bed was comfortable and the room included decent coffee and bathroom products. However, there was trash left in the room and the carpet had cigarette burns all over. The TV was an old 19" or 21" that was not up to par with the attempted atmosphere; Ive seen better TVs in super 8s. The breakfast is not complimentary, and for my party and I, the buffet was just plain bad. Each person's plate cost about $14, very expensive for a breakfast buffet. I'll start at the top, because it was all bad: the eggs were rubbery, the potatoes were cold as ice, the bacon was greasy and chewy, the fresh-toast sticks were like rocks, and the gravy for the biscuits was gritty and disgusting. The only thing edible was the cereal and yogurt, which is insane for $14 a person. Oh yeah, no orange juice. I do not recommend this Doubletree at all.”

• Terrific room and comfortable bed, clean crisp sheets were great!
• The in-room coffee pot had old stale water in it so I could not use it. Gross.

“Very nice hotel and room and pleasant stay. The staff was terrific. Their parking garage needs a minor remodeling job. The car spaces are striped too close so drivers ignore the striping and it really makes for a problem. 10 cars take up the space of 20 and the floor of the deck is full. I loved the cookie and the movie selection on the TV! I try to stay here whenever I'm in Tulsa.”

• Swimming pool/hot tub area was very nice. Lobby was very nice. Fitness facility was better than average.
• The room had a horrible stench of old cigarettes.

“Other than the room smelling badly, the hotel was nice, the restaurant had a great selection and really good food. The indoor pool is large and clean. Fitness room was much better than I usually find; all of the equipment was new and in working order.”

• Staff was very pleasant and helpful. They seemed very eager to please my family's needs.
• The air vents looked kind of gross in the bathroom.

“I was pleased when the front desk staff accommodated my family in adjoining rooms. My 19 month old twin nephews were traveling with us and spilled stuffing from a pillow on the floor upon arrival. Housekeeping came immediately after we called them and cleaned up. They happily set up 2 cribs. The friendly staff seemed eager to make our 3 night stay very pleasant. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable.”

“My husband and I got married in November and went there for our honeymoon. We loved the hotel! The bed was very comfortable and we never wanted to go out and do anything else due to how quiet and nice the hotel was. They have a very nice fitness center that we also enjoyed. We aren't very familiar to Tulsa and kept getting lost when we did go out, but the staff was very helpful in giving directions and if they weren't sure they showed us where the maps were in the hotel. We had room service one night which was a little expensive for what it was but the food was good. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and plan on going back for our anniversary.”

• Atmosphere was very upscale. Very comfy bed and pillows. Staff was excellent.
• Additional cost of parking each day.

“We loved the yummy cookies we received as a perk upon check-in. The bed and many pillows were very comfy. We had trouble with our TV remote and a service person came up to check it at 7:30 PM (within 10 minutes) and it turned out to be the batteries. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The pool and whirlpool was clean and refreshing. It was easy to access from the highways but being it was in a downtown area there was an additional parking fee each day ($5.00). We would stay there again.”

“I have stayed at both Tulsa doubletrees and consider both of them excellent hotels. My only disappointment in the past has been a prior booking in which the hotel was overbooked and we were turned to the Hilton, which was not nearly as nice.”

“I did not like being placed on a smoking floor. As someone with severe allergies and asthma, a smoking room tends to make me feel miserable. Hence why I gave such low marks.”
