  • Swimming pool/hot tub area was very nice. Lobby was very nice. Fitness facility was better than average.
  • The room had a horrible stench of old cigarettes.

“Other than the room smelling badly, the hotel was nice, the restaurant had a great selection and really good food. The indoor pool is large and clean. Fitness room was much better than I usually find; all of the equipment was new and in working order.”

  • Staff was very pleasant and helpful. They seemed very eager to please my family's needs.
  • The air vents looked kind of gross in the bathroom.

“I was pleased when the front desk staff accommodated my family in adjoining rooms. My 19 month old twin nephews were traveling with us and spilled stuffing from a pillow on the floor upon arrival. Housekeeping came immediately after we called them and cleaned up. They happily set up 2 cribs. The friendly staff seemed eager to make our 3 night stay very pleasant. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable.”

  • Kind of hard to find!

“My husband and I got married in November and went there for our honeymoon. We loved the hotel! The bed was very comfortable and we never wanted to go out and do anything else due to how quiet and nice the hotel was. They have a very nice fitness center that we also enjoyed. We aren't very familiar to Tulsa and kept getting lost when we did go out, but the staff was very helpful in giving directions and if they weren't sure they showed us where the maps were in the hotel. We had room service one night which was a little expensive for what it was but the food was good. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and plan on going back for our anniversary.”

  • Atmosphere was very upscale. Very comfy bed and pillows. Staff was excellent.
  • Additional cost of parking each day.

“We loved the yummy cookies we received as a perk upon check-in. The bed and many pillows were very comfy. We had trouble with our TV remote and a service person came up to check it at 7:30 PM (within 10 minutes) and it turned out to be the batteries. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The pool and whirlpool was clean and refreshing. It was easy to access from the highways but being it was in a downtown area there was an additional parking fee each day ($5.00). We would stay there again.”

“I have stayed at both Tulsa doubletrees and consider both of them excellent hotels. My only disappointment in the past has been a prior booking in which the hotel was overbooked and we were turned to the Hilton, which was not nearly as nice.”

“When I first arrived in my room it smelled heavily of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. They did bring up an ionizer to help try and clear out the smoke smell, with some success.”

  • Convenient to downtown. Well appointed.
  • Unfriendly, unhelpful check-in personnel and poor maintenance.

“We tried to check in at 1:30pm but we were told it would be 1/2 hr because the hotel was full the previous night. That we understood as it had happened two nights previous at another hotel. At the latter, the staff took our phone number and called us when a room was ready, about 45 mines later. The Tulsa crew would not take our number and kept us coming back every 1/2 hour. The last time we sat in the lobby from 2:30 until 3, the normal check in time, and watched numerous people check in prior to 3. At 3, we were told there still was not a room available and we had to speak with a manager to get checked in. Our experience in the room was not so great either. The bath tub drain was clogged and let water build up a couple inches. Had to stand in soapy water after washing your hair. Hair on floor, towels and bath mat. Sink faucet leaked. Candy wrappers on floor under table. All and all, not such a great experience.”

  • I was looking to stay in downtown Tulsa.
  • We were booked on a smoking floor which smelled like a chimney.

“The floor and room in which we were booked was awful. It was as bad as a cigar lounge. When I asked if there were any non-smoking rooms available, I was rudely told that no other rooms were available. Not only were no accommodations made, the staff was rude and arrogant. Obviously, they felt they had their money and could care less about my satisfaction.”

  • Room was very comfortable nice and private with king size bed and a lot of pillows.
  • Bathroom seemed dirty and dingy. Room service prices were ridiculous.

  • Hot water took a little time to get hot at night for a shower.

“Great location, would be nice if there were more of a restaurant selection, other than hotel, within walking distance or if so please advertise this to guests as not everyone likes to drive looking for restaurants in unfamiliar downtown neighborhoods. Otherwise a great place to stay!”

  • Rooms are insulated extremely well, so as not to hear outside activity! Down feather pillows and comforter are wonderful! Mattress was perfect!
  • Location for hotel was in a business district with no shops or eateries close by

“Because of our "comfortable" experience at the Double Tree, we will look for their hotels and motels when we travel in the future. In fact, we did stay at a Double Tree Inn returning to our home by a different route. It was equally nice. Their room structure is quiet, attractively decorated with comfortable leisure chairs and divans. For a one-room motel setting, the room was more relaxing and enjoyable than any room we have ever stayed in. The dressing area and bathroom is separated from the sleeping area by a wall so the light will not awake a sleeping person, if the bathroom area is being used! The accommodations were worth the money spent!”

“We found the hotel to be very nice and hospitable until it came to cleanliness. We requested our sheets changed every night of our stay but they weren't ever changed. The sheets had stains on them which we found incredibly disgusting.”

  • The staff was very helpful and friendly.
  • The bed was not soft enough.

“This hotel located in the heart of Tulsa is conveniently located. Parking was ample and I found it to be reasonably priced for the location. The staff was warm, friendly, and very quick to answer our requests for towels, a crib, etc. The bar-tender, Bradford, makes a very good Margarita but made a recommendation of a restaurant nearby, to which we went and found overpriced and lacking in selection. Overall, the hotel room was comfortable and tastefully appointed, but the bed was hard. The down pillows and covers recovered it some. The indoor pool was nice and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Our room was on the 12th floor and so we enjoyed a very nice view of the skyline.”

  • The rooms were large and clean!
  • The shower head was broken and the check-in staff efficient but cold.

“Doubletrees are typically clean and decent hotels for a weary traveler, this doubletree was no exception, inexpensive parking with access to the hotel via a speedway. The lobby was spacious and they offered an inexpensive buffet breakfast. Room service was efficient. The biggest plus about this doubletree was the large and comfortable rooms.”
