• It is an older hotel - rooms and halls were musty.

“Overall - met my expectations considering the price I paid. The hotel swimming pool was closed for maintenance, however we received free passes to the water park (a $50 value).”

• Location.
• Curtains don't close and there is a big spot light in parking lot so no sleeping in for sure. Hot tub and ice machine both not working.

“Asked the hotel about restaurants and they said there is one down the street well there was a couple not helpful but no big deal. Also the curtains don't close and there are big spot lights in the parking lot so light is in the room big time. Great hotel otherwise.”

• I enjoyed the different packages.
• Would like a shuttle.

“It was excellent! The location is about 7 minutes from the zoo and has many places to go nearby including a mall. The water park was a lot of fun and the hotel has a nice pool that is open later than the water park which was great for my kids. I also enjoyed the kids eat free in the restaurant.”

“We very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. The only thing that may prevent us from returning is the price of the water park. The water park attendants cut us a 2 for 1 deal since we only had 2 hours to enjoy the park, we had a very early flight the next morning, so had no time to swim, and weren't able to get there until 7 pm because we both left straight from work (Des Moines). $25/per person seems a little steep, especially since most adults only do the lazy river and then sit in the hot tub.”

• I`t was clean.
• Entry light didn't work in room,
  TV wasn't updated.

“Very loud party, with kids running in halls all night long till 2300 am person in next room had
TV loud till 330 am, when I couldn't stand it anymore and checked out rather sit at airport till my flight at AM.
I would not stay there again. Hotel staff had there own kids playing in lobby.”

• The room itself was tastefully decorated and the lobby was nice.
• The outside of the establishment is not very attractive at all. However, once inside, it is very nice.

“The hotel met all my expectations and had very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were beautifully decorated and I loved all the mirrors.”

• Room was clean with a good quality bed.
• The building is older, my room had low ceilings and a little cramped.

“This is a decent hotel. Nice place for a family. Good location in the city, close to other destinations, easy access. The location is relatively safe, located in a good neighborhood, good part of town. There is nothing to see or do within walking distance but the hotel is a good base location if you have a car. The pool is shallow and nice if you bring children. I would stay here again.”

“Nice place, nice rooms, no breakfast unless you want to pay $12, had to park a fair distance from the room but for the money it was a very nice hotel.”

• Great customer service.
• Our room had no outside windows. Windows faced a hallway and disruptive kids were banging on them and running about through the pool area.

• Quiet! Nice pool, zero depth entry nice for little kids.
• Room was quite small.

“For the price, our stay was very nice. Overall things were clean. Bed was very comfortable, nice bedding. Rooms looked a little bit older. My small children loved the zero depth entry pool, which is available to all guests (not at the co-co key water park). They also have an indoor play area next to the pool. Good location near attractions i.e. Henry Doorly Zoo, shopping, and food.”

• Wide range of services and amenities available.
• Everything in the room was dated, run-down, broken and dirty.

“Sure, the hotel reads nice - pools, dining, even a co-co-keys water park, but everything in our room was dated, run-down, broken and/or dirty. After complaining multiple times in the early evening, we were told engineering had looked at the problems (broken phones, in-room movies not working). Then at 7am, Engineering knocks on the door to come look at the problem - and wakes up the kids! The one bright spot was when we ordered an awesome brownie a-la-mode from the restaurant (But did I mention that room service was understaffed and backed up, so I had to go pick it up myself!). Overall, we had a horrible experience.”

“We had bugs in our first room and were assigned a new room which had a bathtub right next to the bed. We asked for a normal room and were given one. Room very small, but it was clean. Hotel had a water park, but it wasn't included with our stay-it cost an additional 25.00 per person for us to go there. Very disappointed in our stay.”

• There was not as much outside noise as usual in a hotel.
• There was nothing in the room to explain hotel amenities.

“There was so much dust around the room that when I moved it to look for something, I spent the next hour sneezing and sniffling. The rest of the room and corridor were not clean as I expected either. We were up very late Saturday night and the staff knocked on our door at 9:15 the next morning to see if we were gone yet.”

• We loved the pool. The beach front excess was perfect for our 2 year old.
• There was no complimentary breakfast that we could find.

“The location was great. Close to the interstate. There was a Perkins within walking distance. The room was little small but it did have a huge bed in it. The tub was a little dingy but I loved the counter tops and size was great. This hotel had an awesome pool and play area for smaller kids. We would stay their again. I didn't like the fact that the water park was not included in the cost of the room, but again the hotel's pool made up for this.”

• Reasonable price for a basic room.
• Need for some maintenance; low ceilings.

“The room was pleasant and clean. It is an older hotel that's been remodeled. It was worth the price. I would consider it more of a 2-3 star than the 4 star rating, as the room is fairly average. There is a nice large indoor pool. The ceilings are low - especially in the bathroom. Not very comfortable unless you are pretty short. At 5' 8", I needed to crouch down to be able to rinse my hair under the shower head as it was mounted low. The hot and cold water were also reversed in the shower - so it was a surprise when the water got colder when you turned it to what was marked as the hot side. A toilet kept running and flushing on its own in the room and a light bulb needed to be replaced. But maintenance staff was very courteous and prompt in addressing problems.”

“Nice location, close to highway 80 and the industrial strip. The room was clean, but a little small. The hotel pool was nice. Disappointed that there was no discount at the attached water park for hotel patrons. Hotel food was good, but a little pricey. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay.”

• Location was great. Close to lots of attractions and easy to get to.
• Restaurant was overpriced even though kids ate free, but the food was good.

“I was disappointed when we arrived and they were so overbooked that they didn't even have the king room they promised us on the phone that morning. However, the staff was friendly and apologetic and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a Junior suite the next day. It was clean and very roomy. The king bed was very comfortable. If staying with kids I'd definitely recommend the suite. The free WiFi was also a nice feature.”

• The bed was wonderful and the desk people was extremely friendly and helpful.
• The carpet in the hallways were filthy.

“The entrance doors were not in very good shape. The carpets in the hall were very dirty. The room was however very clean and the bed was comfy. Room size however, was a little cramped. Although we did not use the pool, the facilities around it looked to be very clean.”

“Definitely do not recommend this hotel. This hotel would be more accurately rated at 1 or 2 star, as opposed to 3. The area seems unsafe, hotel is old, falling apart, rooms smell horrible. Very noisy. However, staff was helpful.”

• Hated the brown color scheme. It was new but so utilitarian.

• Staff tried to recompense with a free breakfast.
• When I was taking a bath, all these gunk floated on top of my bath water. Area under bathmat was not cleaned regularly.

“They appear to have a problem keeping or training high quality help. After my free consolation breakfast (great dining room staff, competent and friendly!) I went to the lobby bathroom and it was still not cleaned from the night before, at 10:30 in the morning! I threw away paper towels and wiped the counter.”

“The lobby, hallways, and elevators were hot and dirty. The pool was not working, but we were given the opportunity to purchase tickets for the water resort for 1/2 half. We checked in at 3:00 PM and was told check-in was not until 4 PM. When we checked in at 6:00 PM our room was still not ready, but we were given another. The day we checked out (11:00 AM) guests were being checked in.”

• It didn't catch fire while we slept.
• It was dirty. Bed was dirty. Had to go get blankets. Couldn't get help to room.

“This place was dirty. Trash was all around the water park. Bed sheets and blankets were dirty. Waited over an hour for some one to bring clean sheets. Had to go get the sheets and blankets my self at about 11:00 at night. They made us pay another $100.00 to use the water park.”

“The hotel was definitely not a 3-star. It needed serious remodeling. The breakfast was sub par. The staff was not extremely prompt or helpful. There did not appear to be internet access in the rooms. The swimming pool was nice for kids.”

• The bed was perfect, after a long day it was amazing!
• The coco key west cost an extra $20 a person!

• CoCo Key water park was great! The regular pool was very nice too the grandchildren loved it! Location was perfect for our plans. Nice and quiet.
• Took me several tries to connect with room service.

“More then met my and my familys expectations. CoCo Key Water Park and the regular pool were both fantastic. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Walking distance from several restaurants if you didn't want to eat in the hotel. I was very impressed and would recommend it to my friends. The only problem I had was contacting room service - it took several tries each time and I didn't always connect.”

• I liked that the hotel pool was empty because everyone else was at the resort water park at the hotel.
• I did not like the size of the bathroom, it was very small.

“The hotel was ok. In Omaha don't have 4-5 star hotels, but the room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. You can tell that they have recently renovated the hotel, but it looks like they just put granite over the old sinks instead of new fixtures, it was ok.”
