• Location.
• Our had only a small window in the upper corner of the wall -- like a basement. You could not see through it from the floor. The soap dish had mold.

“I think they are trying to get my on a shoestring. It shows in the maid service and cleanliness of rooms.”

• The facility the the staff were very good.
• The hotel was somewhat hard to locate when we arrived from I-80.

• It was a very quiet hotel, I could not hear noise in the hallway, other room, etc.
• The pool water was very cold and there was no fridge.

“We had two young children with us. We enjoyed our stay and spent most of our time in the pool. The pool was very clean and not used much by other guests which was nice for our 2 year old. The rooms were very nice and clean.”

• The proximity to our son's residence.
• First night water was barely warm; closet door was stuck; received 6:30am wake-up call 2nd night we didn't request!

“After we received the unrequested 6:30 am wake-up call Friday morning, I questioned the desk clerk about the incident. He gave us tickets for complimentary breakfast which was a buffet, and absolutely everything on it was cold - bacon, links, scrambled eggs.”

• Everything looked clean and the staff was very quick when I requested more towels.
• Would like to have a free breakfast. Buffet was good but pricey.

“Hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking. Pool area was very nice and very accessible for small children as well as adults. Room was on the small side but served our purposes.”

• The staff was friendly.
• Very outdated hotel, and in need of much repair.

“I was initially placed in a room right off the elevator and loud ice machine, but I soon found out that the room AC was louder than either one of these. The staff was very agreeable to placing me in another room, but the second room had beds that weren't even level. One was so slanted that it would have been no problem falling out of it at night. The bottom line is that the hotel may have been nice at one time, but is definitely in need of some major TLC.”

• The weight room was nice.
• The doors slammed a little loudly.

“Overall, the hotel was nice and comfortable. My partner woke up the first morning with what looked like a cockroach on his back. This was the only time either of us saw a bug in the room. The door to our room did not shut properly so we had to slam it or fight with it to get it to close properly. However, the staff was very friendly and responded to our housekeeping needs very quickly.”

• Comfortable beds, and swimming pool.
• Nothing stood out as being fabulous.

“I expected more from a Crowne Plaza. This was along the lines of their regular Holiday Inn properties. The beds were very comfortable! The pool was very clean and refreshing! The room itself was the biggest disappointment in quality. No amenities stood out to make this an upscale property.”

“This was a very nice hotel with friendly and courteous staff. They had a beautiful indoor pool which we used. I would stay in the hotel again and I would definitely recommend it to others. We were very pleased with our stay.”

• Restaurant Sunday brunch poor for the money. Ran out of food early. Little to pick from.

• The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
• Our room had no heat - the initial room needed much remodeling. The tile needed a good scrub.

“I was not pleased with this hotel experience. Our initial room lacked heat. The register was chipped and rusted and very unattractive. Our second room was better although the tile needed a good scrubbing as the grout was dirty. I would not recommend this hotel.”

• Heating/Cooling system, Condition of room, carpets, shower, and general age.

“This hotel more than shows its age and is not deserving of the Crown Plaza moniker. It is an old run down Holiday Inn in dire need of an overhaul and upgrade. The heating unit in our room must not have had a thermostat that worked, it was noisy and ran at one speed. This hotel was the worse 3 Star I have experienced.”

• Someone went through our suitcase and threw clothes all over the room when the do not disturb sign was on the door.

“This was not at all what we expected for a 3 star hotel. The hotel lobby looked nice. The hotel room was not clean. We checked in at 6 am and had someone go through our room while we were out running errands.”

• Nice pool, location is good for me personally.
• Former holiday inn, rooms are not fully upgraded to higher standard.

“Beautifully redecorated throughout, though the rooms show their Holiday Inn heritage - no cabinets in the bathroom, one small closet, the rooms are not small, but not large either. I didn't dine at the restaurant, but the restaurant/lounge area is very attractive and comfortable.”

• Rooms are deteriorating; lobby was very cold.

“Have enjoyed this hotel in the past, but it is going downhill. Hotel is understaffed; bartender also seating customers and waiting on them in restaurant. Staff (what there was of them) were very friendly and doing their best to be of service.”

• The location is excellent for what I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
• We had mildew growing on the walls, curtains, tub, etc. Phone did not work. Obvious water damage. Needs to be addressed.

“We have stayed here in the past and have been very pleased. Unfortunately, this experience was not pleasurable. Our room was filled with mildew and I broke out into hives. There obviously was a problem with water damage since the mildew was growing through the wallpaper and curtains.”

• Staff was very accommodating to our needs.
• Low ceilings.

“I've stayed at this hotel before, although it has been many years. Now, as then, the staff has always tried to make your stay a welcome one. The building sits high on hill and if you get an upper floor you should get a pretty good view. Ceilings are low in the hallways and bathrooms, almost to the point of feeling claustrophobic. I'm 6'-4" and the ceiling in the shower was just a couple centimeters above my head. But the structure cannot be easily changed. Of those things that can be controlled by staff and management I'd say they've done a very good job.”

• It's a beautiful area as you come into the lobby.
• The knobs were off the AC, it was preset and I about froze.

“Everything was very good about this place except the knobs on the AC being removed and it was preset to cold. I could not change it and about froze, thus making it a little uncomfortable.”

• Poorly maintained - not clean. Air conditioning did not work, first room smelled musty, second room had stains on pillow case, hair in bath tub.

“This hotel needs major renovations. Carport entrance in front of hotel was leaking - it wasn't even raining. Rooms are not kept up. Air conditioning not working well. Asked to switch rooms because the first room was hot and musty smelling. Second room didn't smell but the pillow case had stains all over it, towels were stained, carpet old and dirty. Hair in bathtub. Just not what I expected.”

• The new beds and pool were nice. The maintenance man was very helpful to us to switch rooms and made that happen for us.
• The rooms just seemed dirty and stained and uncomfortable.

“We did not like the location of this hotel. The first room had many large stains to the carpet and rusted AC. The smell of chlorine was awful and it was not near the pool. It was so strong that our 13 year old started getting a headache. The maintenance man made sure we got a better room. The 2nd room was better, but still had stains on the carpeting. I would not recommend it. We did leave my daughters pillow and the housekeeping staff seemed assuring that they would get that to us. We just left there so we have not received it yet, but should in the next 3-5 days.”

“When we checked in they had us in a smoking room due to availability. There were four of us (two adults and two little children), they had to move us into a king room with a roll away.”

“When I arrived to my room, there was fecal matter in the toilet, and the heat was turned on to the highest level. I thought it was some kind of joke. Then found a pair of dirty socks next to the bed. No rooms available, so had to stay in the same room. Not sure how clean the room was, and did not feel the least bit comfy in my room.”

• The hotel lobby was very impressive, and the pool was nice.
• The elevators didn't work well and neither did the room keys.

“I believe comfort and attractiveness should be 2 separate questions. The bed was very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. The curtains did not block out the light well. The first room we had didn't even have a blackout curtain. On the other hand the room attractiveness was fine and could be rated higher than the comfort question.”

“I've never had to do this before, but we had to move rooms twice. The first room had mildew all over the curtains. There was obviously a roof leak above the window. I don't know how they could possibly check someone into this awful room. The second room had no AC. That's tough to swallow in July. The third room was fine and things were ok after that. Also, the hotel is extremely confusing to locate due to major re routing on Dodge Street.”

“The hallways were dark, with low ceilings. The rooms were small. Bathroom cluttered with too many products. Pool area was at least 100 degrees and absolutely unbearable, although it looked quite nice.”

• The room carpet has large dark spill stains. Everyone in our family got bit.

“I was very disappointed when walking through the door. Family of 5, 3 kids between 3-8. No continental breakfast. Stained carpets. Sheets on pull out sofa were obviously not changed. Everyone in my family got bit by either bed bugs or spiders. We left a day early due to the severity of bites of one of my sons. Not family friendly. Business travelers would be fine.”

• The pool was very nice and the fitness room was as well.
• The age of the carpet/halls. Needed updating.

“For the price this hotel is a steal. The people were very nice that worked there. The pool is nice but there were no towels available down at the pool and the water level in the hot tub was too low but it is a nice large inside pool. The rooms and especially the halls could use some serious updating. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice. Everything was clean and acceptable. The price was great.”

• Great pool! Good size in attractive atrium.
• The comfort level of the pull out sofa.

“Comfortable hotel showing a little wear and tear. Located on West Dodge Road, the hotel is convenient to Central and West Omaha. Nice size indoor pool in attractive atrium was great for entertaining kids. Room could use a little TLC but bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Would stay again.”

“Property is not a 3 star hotel in terms of its current appearance. Could be a nice hotel, however, the whole place needs a thorough cleaning. Our room was ok, however, we requested 2 beds by directly calling the hotel, but were not able to get one upon check-in. We were given a rollaway at no charge, but when we returned to our room after being out for the evening, no rollaway yet. Called front desk and did get the bed within 10 minutes. Garbage can near our side entrance to the hotel was always full and the door was not secured at all. This could be a nice property, but I would have to think twice about coming back. It's definitely not comparable to other 3-star hotels in the area.”

• On 2nd day room not cleaned no coffee, trash in room not taken out.

“Staff was pleasant. Housekeeping didn't take the trash out after 1st day. There wasn't coffee in the room so I called for service and they charged me.”
