“Paper thin walls/ceilings, poor sound insulation for a hotel in its price range. Needless to say the TV and people in next room seemed too close for comfort.”

• It's where my husband and I spent our honeymoon 3 1/2 years ago so it was so nice to go back, its so nice and clean, romantic.

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beds were heavenly.
• The rooms were a little dated but they are clean.

“This hotel is an older hotel but they have done a good job of keeping the common areas very clean and modern looking. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. This is a very pet-friendly hotel.”

• They fixed my TV within 10 minutes of my call.
• The vent in the bath room seemed to be connected to the neighbors bathroom. I could see the light from the next room.

• Parking is unaccessible at times, and hazardous due to narrow spaces.

“Overall the hotel was as expected. Hotel staff however, was somewhat snobbish on arrival. Helpful if provoked, but unwilling to initiate assistance. Food service and dining facilities were exceptional in quality and choice, but somewhat pricey.”

• This hotel is an older hotel, so not as modern.

“Hilton College Station is convenient for football games and the staff is friendly. The hotel rooms are older than one would expect, but still one of the nicer hotels in the area.”

• Very clean, pretty fancy as you walk in.
• I prefer queen size beds. These were just full. But very comfortable.

• Noisy doors, you could hear people opening and closing their doors all night.

“For this to be a Hilton hotel I was disappointed in the amenities, no microwave, refrigerator or free continental breakfast. I would have been better off a comfort suites or lower star rated hotel.”

“The beds were very comfy, but the we could only get online for about 2 minutes at a times, the leg on our desk was broken and the bathroom plug did not work. Not quite what I expected from a Hilton.”

• It took longer than it should have for the room to cool down, But it eventually did cool off.

“The hotel was nice - comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The only thing I didn't like was every time I walked in, I was overwhelmed by a smell of smoke and this was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. Overall, my family really enjoyed our stay.”

• It was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Allowed me to have an earlier check-in time. The beds were very comfortable.
• The staff allowed people to have alcohol and cigarette smoking in the pool.

• The bed was incredibly comfortable. I didn't want to wake up.
• The pool was dirty both times we went to it.

“Overall a good place to stay in College Station. If the pool had been clean our stay would have been better. We would definitely stay there again if in town.”

• When we called to ask for our room preference they refused to let us. We had to wait till we got there to make our request. Wondering what we'd get !

“The staff was very friendly and it was nice and comfortable. We just didn't know what type of room we were going to get before we came. The phone staff was not great. The room needed more waste baskets. The beds were quite small for 2 people.”

“The room was a little musty because it was located next to the pool but the beds were incredibly comfortable and the work-out room had excellent equipment. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.”

“Hotel was great. They moved our room graciously but the next room was on a floor with apparently a number of families with kids running from room to room and slamming doors. I guess that's not the hotels fault.”

• The ice machine did not work on our floor. The bathroom was very small.

“The staff was helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean and nice. The ice machine was not working and we had to go to another floor for ice. The bathroom was very small and the door hit the toilet when it was opened. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. I would stay there again.”

• Many conventioneers took up parking space.

“Very clean and friendly hotel. Lots of meeting rooms and banquet halls lead to many events being held there. When this happens the parking lot gets very full and you may have to park behind the hotel, although a little walk is good for you.”

• Good location, good price, front desk help was ok.
• I did like the fact that my room did not get cleaned when I asked, because the cleaning people did understand or speak English.

“The overall hotel was very nice, and clean. I was not impressed that the cleaning people did not speak or understand English. I had to call the front desk after 10:00pm to ask for clean towels and for my trash to be removed. My beds were not made and my room was not cleaned all day.”

• Great location and very comfortable bed.
• Smallish television with poor reception.

“The hotel is well located with easy access to highways, to the university, and to dining facilities. It is very well maintained, clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I feel that the old television sets should be replaced with newer wide screen models. A small mini-bar/fridge in the room would also be nice. All in all, I would rate the hotel "excellent" in its category.”
