• The hotel was noisy first 3 nights, a bus load of kids.

• The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
• Parking was not paid for by the motel or validated. There was not hot tub.

“Loved the stay and will recommend it to many friends who travel that way.”

• We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was great, but the bathroom was not real clean.

• Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was really comfortable.
• I arrived late evening and was not offered valet parking. Buses were blocking the entrance. Only parking is in public garages and is expensive.

“Room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was great. Staff was very polite. Parking was a joke. I arrived late evening and there were buses blocking the loading zone. No obvious valet parking. No valet parking was offered on check in. I had to carry my luggage from a parking garage across the street and up and down stairs because the parking garage elevator was not working. In the morning I discovered that they do have parking. I was quite upset about that issue.”

• Beautiful grand staircase in entrance, friendly staff, great location close to downtown.
• No close parking, had to use city parking garage that was under construction, someone else's hair on Kleenex box in bathroom.

“This hotel is definitely one of the nicest hotels in Lincoln. Great location downtown, friendly staff. The chef even kept the buffet open a little later for us so we could have breakfast. I truly had a great experience.”

• Checking into the hotel was very simple. We had an excellent breakfast and enjoyed the friendly staff.

• Loved the lobby and artwork.
• Bathroom does not have vent fan.

“Older hotel, but very nicely updated. Great place to stay. Downtown Lincoln near restaurants, but the Terrace Grill in the hotel is one of the best-kept secrets in Lincoln dining. Second only to Embassy Suites, but cheaper and just as nice. Room was very large. Sofa also pulled out if needed. Good price for a 3-star hotel!”

• Wonderful room, quiet, very comfortable bed.
• Cost of parking.

“This hotel has always been one of the nicest in Lincoln. It continues to be so. Very attractive. Rooms were very comfortable. Staff was willing to help with luggage etc. City parking attached to this hotel will cost a little extra but definitely worth it for safety and convenience.”

• The room was spacious and nicely decorated.
• The only problem we encounter was getting from the city parking lot to the hotel lobby.

• They were very accommodating to the room specific requests we made.
• Self parking seemed somewhat cumbersome on the weekend but not a big deal as they have inexpensive valet parking available.

“This hotel was very nice and accommodating to the room requirements/requests that we made; including providing us connecting rooms with a king bed in one and two doubles in the other for the kids. We will definitely be staying there again.”

• It was nicely decorated and very clean. The airport shuttle was very convenient.
• The lack of free parking.

“If you are looking for a nice hotel in downtown Lincoln, the Cornhusker Marriot is a great choice. The staff was very friendly. The public areas, rooms were very nicely decorated and clean. The onsite Starbucks and Newsstand were convenient. The free airport shuttle was quick and easy.”

“We frequent the Cornhusker Hotel for our trips to Lincoln. Its nice; the staff is very helpful; the rooms are nice; and its close to our ballgame venues. We go back because it is familiar and we enjoy our stay every time.”

• A/C didn't cool the room very well.

“The Cornhusker is what you would expect from a Marriott. Good service and clean, comfortable rooms. The air handling system didn't work very well and it was fairly warm in the room at night.”

“We have stayed at the Cornhusker Hotel on several occasions. The lobby itself is historic in design and the decor is aesthetically pleasing welcoming you upon arrival. You are within walking distance of Misty's Restaurant (which I highly recommend for a melt-in-your-mouth Fillet Mignon), although there is a fine restaurant inside the hotel. We also appreciated the Starbucks, located just inside the lobby. The bedding is heavenly.”

• Extremely noisy guests with only 1 security guard for 10 floors.

“The front desk blamed all the noise on graduation weekend. However, they only had 1 security guard and extremely noisy guests on several floors. This started about 1a and we were finally moved at 3 am. To say the least we didn't get a good nights sleep or any sleep for that matter.”

• The whole hotel had a fresh smell; rooms were clean, staff friendly.
• Bad coffee in the restaurant good coffee for purchase in the coffee shop.

“We have stayed at the Cornhusker several times. I had forgotten how nice it was. Front desk staff was welcoming. They could use more seating in the reception area as there was a big wait for breakfast at the cafe.”

• The desk clerk was very friendly.
• Our bathroom had used soap, glass and shampoo in it!

“We arrived 1 a.m. with fire trucks outside of the motel. They assured us it was only a man that had fallen! After 3 of our 5 people were in bed I discovered that the bathroom had used bars of soap in the shower and on the sink. Also, one glass had dry toothpaste residue in the bottom and on the side, the shampoo bottle was empty in the shower and we had no shampoo, conditioner, etc left for us! Then my son and I were awakened at 4:30 a.m. to pounding and sawing. He was proceeding to get dressed to go sleep in the suburban, instead I got dressed and went to the lobby (didn't want to call and wake up the ones in the room lucky enough to sleep thru it!) I guess there had been a fire in the kitchen and now the gas company was there doing what they needed to do due to an emergency situation!”

• It had no parking (except for valet).

“Once you get past all of the one way streets and having to deal with only using valet parking, or paying an arm and a leg to park in a parking garage owned by the city of Lincoln. This is a great hotel, the beds and quality of the room is among the best that I have ever had while staying in a hotel. The staff takes great pride in trying to meet you needs and keeping the hotel clean and inviting. Even though I personally had parking issues I highly recommend this hotel. Just don't try to park while pulling a trailer.”

“The desk clerk that was on duty when we checked in wasn't very clear on the parking. I had to go back and ask more questions. Also they corners of the room hadn't been vacuumed. There was dirt, lint, and even a piece of candy in the corner.”

• The pillows and comforter were down and felt like I was sleeping at home. Very comfortable.
• Parking was for a fee and if you went in and out multiple times per day you were charged each time.

“Very pleasant stay. The room was clean, the bed and bedding were very comfortable. I usually travel with my own pillow but I didn't need it here. The down pillows and comforter made me feel like I was at home.”

• The foyer with it's beautiful staircase and large paintings.
• The pool didn't have any windows and it was sort of scary swimming in it alone.

“The people at the desk were very friendly and helpful with directions and other questions. The room was very clean and attended to very well. I couldn't find a container for my ice but after I asked at the front desk I then found out it's location. I liked the way the table under the desk pulled out. I used it for my luggage and was delighted with it's usage and creativity in design to fit under the desk.”

• Only one snack vending machine and it is impossible to find.

“Everything was excellent only recommendation that I have is that since there is only one floor with a vending machine they should post some sort of sign indicating that there is more vending on that floor me and another patron ended up having to ask the front desk at midnight; it would have been nice to have that information as we arrived to the hotel late and no restaurants where open.”

• Downtown location.
• Hard to find parking if you have a topper on your car (major pain).

“I have found same quality on the East Coast for less money. A few dollars more or less doesnt bother me when the hotels are of this quality. In all respects this hotel deserved its three star rating. Like I said the only problem was parking. If you have a car over 7'2" like I did you have to park quite a distance away from the hotel. The desk clerks should be aware of this. Thanks! I buy at least 200 rooms a year so I think I stay in a good cross section of hotels.”

• Needed to be near downtown and near the capitol, this need was met.
• Long walk from garage to front desk for carrying luggage.

“Nice rooms, nice place to dine when not wanting to go out. The lounge area was very nice but understaffed the night I was there. I have stayed here several times before and will definitely stay there again.”

• It was perfect in location located in Downtown centrally. Lot s of places to eat and have drinks within walking distance.
• Had to pay for self parking.

“The hotel rooms were very nicely decorated. The rooms were clean with soft bedding and pillows. We loved the location Downtown and found it easy access to everything.”
