Julie from Winner,SD “I felt because we got a low price for the room we were placed in a room above the huge AC - heating units at the end of the hall next to a storage room. Very noisy! Bathroom was very small, pedestal sink, no place.” Nov 30, 2009 by
Tammy from Sioux Falls,SD
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We live here in Sioux Falls, and we wanted a place to have an overnight b'day party for our 14 year old and her friends so they could swim despite the cold weather. We love this hotel. The staff are great, and the price is affordable while the accommodations are comfortable and tasteful.” Oct 24, 2009 by
Jeff from Watertown,SD
“Older hotel that could use some overall remodel. Not what I expected for a 3 star motel. Staff were friendly enough.” Oct 18, 2009 by
Charlotte from Huron,SD
“Front desk staff cheerful and well organized. I didn't eat in the hotel or use any of the facilities.” Oct 14, 2009 by
Nicole from Spirit Lake,IA
“The room was not all that clean. When we arrived there was hair on the sink, and the vents in the bathroom were caked with dust. The toilet was over flooded when we arrived also, and we had to call maintenance to come fix it, not to mention there was water all over the floor as well. When the housekeepers came to clean our room, we were only left with one bath towel, for 2 people. We will never go back to this hotel again.” Oct 7, 2009 by
Amy from Marshall,MN
“I would not stay at this hotel again. The shower didn't work, there was food on the floors when we got to the room, the bathroom is tiny (I'm only 5'6 and I could reach the ceiling w/ no problem), the shades on the windows had holes all over them, the furniture is old, the door was all beat up and paint missing, the pillows were tiny.” Oct 4, 2009 by
David from Oxford,NE
“The happy hour was great. The food is really great and you need to try their buffet both the breakfast and the lunch buffet.” Sep 13, 2009 by
Theresa from Powell,OH
“Hotel was easy to get to and located in an area with shops/restaurants. However, everything was closed. The only place, other than the hotel, to eat was a Chinese restaurant several blocks away. The hotel restaurant was not very appealing, they were having a Turkey dinner buffet.” Sep 10, 2009 by
Sue from Omaha,NE
“We were very pleased with the hotel. We had 2 rooms Our daughter and her baby had one room and my husband and I had another. Would have liked adjoining rooms.” Sep 7, 2009 by
Lee from Eagan,MN
“We were happy to get the room at a great rate, because we had to find a hotel room in a short amount of time.” Jul 20, 2009 by
Pearlena from Meriden,IA
“Except for the hot tub not functioning properly, I was impressed with the quality of the Holiday Inn. They were very friendly and assisted in any question or problem that we experienced promptly.” Jul 11, 2009 by
Lori from Normal,IL
“Excellent value for the money. The air conditioner worked so poorly we requested another room. We moved to the room next door which was much better. The pool is spacious and the area around it carpeted and huge - not cramped at all. There were two hot tubs, very warm but no bubbles. Everything else was very nice, and up to standards.” Jun 17, 2009 by
Jennifer from Utica,SD
“Very nice hotel.” Jun 16, 2009 by
Jennifer from Big Lake,MN
“The pool was really small, it was a cluster of mazes once inside the hotel trying to get from the side door, through the pool, threw a bar and then through the restaurant. Not set up very well. The parking ramp was not directly attached to the hotel, so that was inconvenient.” Jun 4, 2009 by
Colleen from Brookfield,WI
“It was difficult finding a parking space. The hotel was so booked with wedding parties that the noise in the hallways was ridiculous all night and I could not sleep our room was right across from the elevator on the fifth floor. Our room was not supplied with the necessary coffee items and I had to call the front desk to bring some up. We were disappointed that we could not get a meal in the hotel when we arrived at 7:00 pm tired from traveling. The pool was put way behind everything so you had to walk through the lobby, past wedding parties, the bar, etc. to get to it. However, the pool was the only thing we enjoyed at the hotel and the staff was very pleasant.” Jun 2, 2009 by
Barbara from Phoenixville,PA
“This was a very clean hotel with excellent accommodations. The breakfast was well worth it and free coffee in the lobby was excellent!” May 26, 2009 by

Linda from Lower Brule,SD
“This hotel has nicer rooms than the one I had on this stay. I've stayed here before. The room was average in appearance. I didn't like it that I couldn't the heat down nor turn on the air conditioning when the room was too hot; I had to open the patio door to cool off all night and it was very noisy when i did open it. The bed was a bit hard, but I had a good pillow.” Jan 10, 2009 by
Anne from Vermont
“Very friendly, front desk help was a nice welcome! The cigarette stink which permeated the lobby from a Dart Tournament in the bar, hit me in the face as I entered the lobby. Once past there, the hotel was clean and tidy. Room was large and comfortable, free high speed internet & coffee in the room. Nice sized bathroom too. Bed very comfortable. TV and movies, perfect after long day of travel. I would stay again.” Dec 31, 2008 by
Gilbert from Winnipeg,Canada
“The hotel met our expectations. We had supper there, food was good, the waitress needs some training in public relations - she tended to complain. Service was good though. All around a great experience - would recommend it to anyone.” Nov 3, 2008 by
Tyler
“Knew I was going to arrive in town a little early so I called to see if I could check in early. They told me it would not be a problem. When I arrived 2 hours later the front desk staff said the hotel was full and I could not check in for another 7 hours. I told them I just talked to someone that told me it would not be a problem. Took 5 minutes of arguing for them to get me a room. Other then that the stay was nice. Could not find out how to turn the AC on so slept in 76+ degree room.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Debbie from Blaine, MN
“Friendly service. Feel of small town. Also hotel is older and rooms & bathrooms are small. Hallway narrow and looks old. Great parking ramp to the rear. Nice pool area.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Jeanette from Beltrami, MN
“The motel staff was very friendly. We had 4 rooms and none of them were together which we would have liked them to be nearby to each other. There was not breakfast included. One of our rooms had no air conditioning the first night and it was in the 90's outside. This same room the shower did not work. The problems were reported, and they were fixed the next day, but it did make for an uncomfortable night for one of our families. The staff was very nice and it may sound like I am complaining but it was an enjoyable stay.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Jeremy from Ellendale, ND
“This was a nice stay for the price, I liked the fact that they were helping a church plant in one of their meeting rooms.” Aug 24, 2008 by
Julie from Sturgis, SD
“It's old and reeked of cigarette smoking in all common areas which was the entire ground-floor, including the pool, eating, lounging, computer, and restaurant areas - even though there were children there. The main floors were filthy, esp. the elevators. Even with both hands in casts, no one offered to help me. The front desk staff was snotty to me and everyone else. The conference rooms were being used by a large group of young adults who could best be described as post-prison-types and they were in the way throughout the entire entry/lobby area - smoking and using bad language. The military uses this hotel as an overnight housing for new recruits, also standing around smoking. The hotel has had a minor upgrade, maybe a few years ago, and at least the bedspread, curtains, and sheets were new and fresh, and the mattress was comfortable. However, the lounge chair arms were filthy - dark and stained. The bathroom was so old that there was no counter for toiletries and shelves had been made above the toilet, but too small to even put a curling iron down. Some of the tiles in the tub/shower were moldy and black, with excess old paint here and there. The AC unit is in the interior wall between the bathroom and sleeping area and it made a horrible noise whenever it ran. The nightstand and desk had been re-stained a few years ago but not touched up so that it looked nice - just a quick, non-thinking job. The windows were filthy - just disgusting both on the interior and exterior glass and all around the edges/ledges there was dirt from not being even vacuumed for months. There was no liner in the ice-bucket and the lid on the inside had not been cleaned. Had I used room service (the room menus were dirty), it's a $2 delivery fee and 18% tip. My first TV remote didn't work & when I exchanged at the front desk, the 2nd one didn't work.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Lll from Madison, WI
“Nice overall except very poor restaurant food.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Randall from Madison, WI
“Recently redecorated facility in mid-town area of Sioux Falls. Standard room layout. Wi-Fi available.” Aug 14, 2008 by
John from Fairmount, ND
“This is an older Holiday Inn Hotel and while it is kept clean it is in dire need of refurbishing. It does not rate 2 1/2 stars and is overpriced for the amenities available. The staff, while friendly, checked us into a room that was already occupied, once that was straightened out and we got a room there were no towels and after 3 calls to the front desk I had to just simply go get some towels from the pool area. The next day the room got cleaned but again, yes you guessed it, no towels. This time I took enough to last the rest of our stay. Food in the hotel was average but the best part of the hotel is that it is right down town located only a short walk away from some of the nicest restaurants in Sioux Falls. Would I stay here again? No, too old, needs refurbishing and is severely overpriced.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Marcia from Rochester, MN
“I went back to the front desk and was assigned a room on the 7th floor. The following morning, I left for the day and returned at 9:30 p.m.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Lisa from Charles City, IA
“Convenient professional clean courteous.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Pat from Hutchinson, MN
“The bed was like a torture rack, very uncomfortable. Also, the TV never worked right, it kept going to a channel that didn't have service and the remote didn't work, even after they brought up a new one.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Ann from Estherville, IA
“Nice staff, a good downtown location. I found a dirty washcloth in the shower. The safety bar in the shower was pulled out of the wall on one end. It was really unsafe.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Laura from Geneva, IL
“This hotel is downtown, near the Sioux Falls Park and convenient to other places you might like to visit in Sioux Falls. We had a nice experience there and we would back.” Aug 11, 2008 by
David from Evergreen, AL
“Hotel is not at star level. Old tired property. Could barely get the shower knob to lift. As far as value for buck goes I was sorely disappointed.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Roger from Zumbrota, MN
“Convenient getting in & out, ample parking-lot & ramp, courteous staff.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Missi from Council Bluffs, IA
“The hotel lobby & pool were very nice. The people were helpful & pleasant. Our rooms were pretty outdated with less than comfortable beds. I felt it could have been cleaner. But for the price it worked for us.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Randy from Highmore, SD
“Clean, comfortable beds, within walking distance to restaurants.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Michael from Bourbonnais, IL
“Great location. Clean rooms.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Steve from Woodbury, MN
“Anniversary night so called ahead about room and confirmed King size bed. Asked about upper floor and told they would put us in the highest floor King available. Had 5th floor room overlooking HVAC units and 2 double beds. Now no kings avail and we arrived well before check in. Asked if we could be moved if a king opened. They said we'll put you down. But don't count on it. I rechecked twice. No change.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Brian from Lytton, IA
“My kids loved this hotel because it was tall. My kids loved the game room, the swimming pool and the view. I liked this hotel because of the location (no highway noise), the firm bed, the room was clean, and the exercise room was nice.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Colleen from New Brighton, MN
“This hotel was hopping on a Saturday night! Very busy so that made it more exciting to stay in. Very clean! Very convenient to everything. My room was huge!” Jul 8, 2008 by
Cathy from Kansas City, MO
“The hotel was easy to get to off of the interstate. The bed was very comfortable and extra pillows were promptly brought after a quick call to the front desk. The front desk ladies offered great suggestions in the Downtown area (only two short blocks away) for food.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Jason from Coon Rapids, MN
“Hotel met my expectations and is nicely refurbished. Would stay again in the future.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Brent from Olathe, KS
“This hotel was fine. I would not want to pay a lot of money for it. The beds were nice. Attempts have been made to update the room, but all of the things that needed to be updated were not. Some furniture and bathroom fixtures were old and in need of updating. Old bath tub. We would stay here again.” Jun 6, 2008 by
Jessica from Mitchell, SD
“This hotel met my expectations, as I've been there before. I was pleased with the amount for the hotel room, and felt we had a great stay.” May 13, 2008 by
