• The location
• The facililty seems to be a bit dated compared to other Westin Hotels

“The construction in the area is a bit of a turn-off, but the price paid for the room more than makes up for the inconvenience.I have stayed at this hotel several times, and never have any problems”

• I like the layout of the hotel & the staff.
• I do not like how they charge u 4 items u don't use.

“The hotel is beautiful & the service was great. They did charge me a fee because I opened the refrigerator & looked @ some items. I put the items back w/o eating them but I was still charged for it. Other than that, everything was great.”

• The quick access to the freeway was very nice.

“The hotel was nice. I had recently stayed at the Westin in St Louis and New Orleans and this west in did not meet up to those standards. It was obvious that the inside had not be redone in the last decade. The heavenly bed was perfection and the check in was the smoothest I had had in a long while.”

• Parking garage access, very convenient.
• The Starbucks stand was closed on Saturday morning.

“Centrally located between the Galleria, North park Shopping Center and numerous restaurants in North Dallas. Starbucks coffee in the room. The Heavenly Bed always makes for a comfortable and relaxing night's sleep. Although parking cost $10 it is convenient and accessible to the hotel lobby.”

• The staff was amazing. Very helpful, very friendly.
• The lobby smelled very slightly odd.

• They had new mattresses & the locaiton was convenient.
• They were rude. The sheets had holes & the pool closed early.

“This hotel did not deserve its 4-star rating. The carpets were stained & dirty. The sheets had holes in them and the comforters were stained. The pool closed earlier than listed in the guest services book. Overall, we were very disappointed with Westin.”

• Staff was more than willing to help fill any request.
• Do not like having to pay for parking my car at $10.00 a night.

“The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Had a couple of problems with the room, but they care of them. Would stay there again if possible.”

• The bed and showers are unequaled by any other hotel chain anywhere.
• Would not allow incidental expenses to be rewarded with Westin Reward points. Almost all other hotels allow incidental expenses to be eligible.

“No one tops Westin for comfort when you sleep. The bed truly is heavenly and the shower heads are truly incredible. Westin continues to be a favorite of mine. The children were also very comfortable. In fact we were all so comfortable it was hard to check out to drive home. I would love to have that bed here at my home.”

• The beds were so comfortable! The Westin put their money where it counts, comfort!
• I didn't like having to pay for parking.

• Great furnishing, nice bathroom.
• In room candy and coke's were ridicously expensive, and a/c did not work well. Had to pay 10 a day for parking.

“The hotel its self was very nice, the lobby was clean and so were the rooms. The only complaints we had about it were that there was only one coke machine that we could find and the cokes that were in our room were at ridiculous prices. Also, we asked for service on our a/c and the man said the reason it wasn't cooling was cause the thermostat temp was set at 60. It was obvisouly going out and he just did not feel like fixing it. Lastly, we were charged 10 dollars a day for parking at our own hotel.”

• Everything was top notch. Extremely comfortable beds.
• Very expensive. $10 parking. $16.50 continental breakfest. Please.

“You can't ask for a nicer hotel. I haven't slept on more comfortable beds. However bring some extra cash. Its $10 parking, and its $16.50 for breakfest.”

• The staff was very accomidating at the front desk. They took time to find out what room I wanted and made sure I got it. Very good first impression.
• My wife forgot a pair of pants in the room. When we called to see if house keeping had found them....no pants.

“The hotel was located in a great area for our needs. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Just don't leave anything behind for house keeping to find or it seems to be finders keepers. The clothing my wife left in the room must have been the same size as the person cleaning the room.”

• I really enjoyed the workout facility. It would make me stay there again
• I was told I would have a suite but given a smaller room. I was just "told" a lot of things.

“This hotel was a very nice 3star but not quite a 4 star. The workout facility was superb, the pool was nice but felt very shakey being on the third floor. The location was convenient but heard a lot of traffic at night. Service was great by the hotel staff, and the management was also very friendly.”

“They put us in a room where the airconditioning turned out to be defective. I called Housekeeping atleast three times over 30 min, and they promised to send an engineer. The engineer never came. I then had reservations move us to a different room. They gave us 2 breakfast buffet tickets to compensate for their mistake, I guess.”

• The tolietries in the room were nicer then normal hotels.
• The elevator was slow and made noises that made it seem unsafe.

“This is an older hotel with some recent updating. I was expecting more for a 4 star hotel however. My limited interaction with the hotel staff was fine. The room was not as clean as it should be and the bed was hastily made. It made me wonder is someone even changed the sheets on the bed.Overall it is an OK business quality hotel, but would not recommend it for personal travel.”

• The "Heavenly Shower" was very nice and the starbucks coffee in the room was a very nice touch.
• Parking garage and walk way to hotel was dirty and unattractive.

“Was really looking forward to the "heavenly" bed they advertise. It was nice, but I have experienced just as comfortable at other 3 & 4 star hotels. The room was clean and nicely decorated, the lobby nice. The staff friendly and attentive. Excellent stay for excellent price.”

• The rooms were clean
• There was no parking unless you paid $10 a night and that parking was in a garage attached to the hotel. Not the best for a woman at night.

“This hotel met my expectations. It was clean, the staff was friendly and there was a nice gym. It was conveniently located near two major highways. The only thing that I did not care for was the fact that parking was an additional $10 a night and if you used the valet, $17. The garage was well lit, but I didn't think it was safe for a woman traveling alone. However, since I was with my husband, it was fine. Overall the hotel was great and I felt that it was well worth what we paid to stay there (even with the additional parking cost)”

• The beds were fabulous!
• Requested adjoining rooms and made 3 calls to ask and it was not honored.

“The hotel was very nice. However, there was a $10 a day parking fee that we were not aware of until we checked in, but they did take it off our bill. Also, I called 3 times to ask for connecting rooms and we did have adjoining rooms, but not connecting. but I understand they don't promise to meet your requests. Good location and beds were fabulous.”

• The guest rooms are beautiful and I loved the pool and the terrace on the 3rd floor.
• They charge for parking and local calls which is ridiculous.

• Friendly people, quiet rooms, Starbucks coffee every morning
• Would have liked a cheaper breakfast choice and a bar in the evening

“Good location, friendly, helpful employees. Needs a mini drug/travel items store, and a place to just sit and have a drink at night. Restaurant is pricey, but morning coffee kiosk is just right (could use more light food selections - less sweets). Slept well, quiet and clean rooms and great air conditioning (very important when it's near 100 degrees)”

• amount you had to pay to park-should be told about in advance with price of hotel

“Employees were very friendly especially the valets. Bedding was beautiful. The outside was under construction so could not tell much about the actual lobby front entrance. Parking was $18 I wish hotels would include or notify the parking amounts in their hotel costs. Overall stay was very nice.”

• The room was very nicely furnished. The Westin "Dream Bed" is very comfortable and very pretty.
• Long walk to the room from the elevator and you have to pay for parking.

“I thought this was a very nice hotel for the price I paid. Anytime I have stayed in a Westin, for much more money, it has always been a very satisfactory experience. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom was very nice with a good shower. The maid service was very attentive.”

• The hotel had a wonderful workout facility and pool.
• Hotel was in the process of remodeling the entrance. Contractors began working at 6:00 AM.

“The hotel was good overall. The construction work was an inconveience and woke us up an 6:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. The hotel should have more control over the work schedule of the contractors. The room was nice. Parking was overpriced.”

• The smoke -free room had previously been a smookers room. Management tried very unsucessfully to mask the smoke with oder eaters. They failed bigtime.

“This is not a 4 star hotel today. It was 20 years ago. That was then this is now. The smoke-free room I reserved had 20 years of smoke clinging to the furnishings and the oder-eaters management used to hide the smoke smell failed miserably.”

“Great hotel, wonderful staff. There was construction going on, but it didn't derail any convenience the Westin offered. Was very pleased with our stay and even have booked reservations for that specific hotel for two additional stays. We all were very pleased and very anxious to stay here many more times in the future.”

• High charges for parking & internet access

“Very nice hotel. Rooms were excellently decorated. Bed was wonderfully comfortable. Even the workout center & pool looked great (didn't get the chance to use them). Location isn't great right now because of roadwork (Route 75 & I-635 Interchange is being rebuilt), it would be helpful to have printed directions or maps of how to navigate through the construction (particuarlly getting to 75 north). Parking rates seem very high for not being a "downtown" location ($18/day for valet). Same for internet access ($9.99/day). Would suggest a flat fee for an entire stay ($14.99 for entire stay) instead of a daily fee.”

• The staff were extremely helpful and efficient, and I loved the selection of the 24 hour room (food) service.
• This hotel stay was excellent.

“The Westin will exceed your expectations. I travel a lot and seldom have found a four star that meets this level of excellence. It was very convenient to the north east part of Dallas.”
