• Great room, very comfortable bed, nicely appointed.
• No A/C in common area, hallway of 11th floor was a steam room!

“Odd location, behind a major upscale mall, but next to old/questionable apartments (night time safety was a concern). No security in parking lot - which they charged an extra $6.00 for. Under new ownership and will become a Meridian Hotel after renovations (hopefully, they will replace stained hall carpet, too). Overall, nice, comfortable, conveniently located.”

• The food was great.
• Furniture old and dirty. Room service began wanting you out at 9:00.

“This is lengthy but I want people to get the whole picture before booking here. When arriving I questioned the safety of our vehicle as the surrounding area was less than attractive. They charge $6 for "gated" parking but anyone can walk into the parking lot. Once inside the atmosphere was nice and seemed upscale, although the temperature was very warm and humid, leaving I ready to get into my room. They tried to place me in a corner handicapped equipped room without a bath. When asking for a regular room I was given the choice of a corner room on another floor. The room was very spacious and cleans but the carpet and furniture was old, worn, and stained. We ordered room service for dinner and it was wonderful! We couldn't get the room to cool down after 5 hours and finally asked for a fan so we could sleep without sweating. The front desk didn't seem concerned about the air conditioning not working. If I didn't open the door I felt like we were staying in a lake house trailer. At 9:00 sharp housekeeping was banging on the door and when I couldn't get there fast enough she was trying to enter. I told her we weren't checking out early. 30 minutes later I was getting into the shower and heard someone enter the room. It was room service wanting our tray back. It was very apparent that I was undressed and she insisted on entering the room for the tray. Needless to say I was out of there as soon as possible. So much for my Mother's Day treat!”

“It was okay, they were doing construction in front so it was hard to get to, plus you had to pay to park in their parking lot, what a scam! Other than that it was nice enough I guess.”

“Love the location, right across from galleria. Rooms are great except for the TV's which are a few generations behind and the picture quality suffers. Only parking option to park is paid. If you are flying in, great place to stay.”

• The price was fantastic and shopping right across the street.
• The bartender was very curt.

“The employees (with the exception of 1) were very warm and friendly. The porter even came back from lunch early to help me with my bags. My room was very clean but needed a little TLC- 1 of the chairs upholstery was coming apart. The beds were extremely comfortable. Parking was plentiful.”

“This hotel met and surpassed my wishes. The lobby was nice, big and clean. The amenities were great! Such as the pool table/lounge area, a full service bar, nice fitness room, and inside pool! The hotel staff was great and very helpful!”

• I liked the attractiveness of the lobby and general appearance of the hotel.
• I asked for a non smoking room, and was put in a smoking room. They then had to move me to a non smoking room.

“Overall, the hotel was clean, and the employees were friendly. It was a bit irritating when I asked for a non smoking room, was told they had No non smoking rooms available, and then, when I complained about the room (I am allergic to cigarette smoke) they then moved me to a non smoking. But other than that experience, they were accommodating and did their best to make our stay comfortable.”

• Weak fitness center and restaurant.

“Very nice suite, excellent bedding and layout was nicely thought out and the granite counters and nice furniture including desk and desk chair was tight. The "free" wireless internet service worked fine. The restaurant atmosphere was not all that attractive as it was an expensive menu in a continental breakfast-room type setting. The TV for all to see in the bar area was either a 12 inch standard def. or a 30 inch standard def; neither were HD flat screen. $6 per day to park the car is ok I guess.”

• Maid service was exceptional.
• I had to pay daily parking. If staying at a hotel, parking should not be charged.

“We had a fabulous time at this hotel. Staying at a luxury hotel, one would assume that parking would not be charged. I can stay down the street at a classier hotel and not have to pay for parking. Because the hotel is so close to the Galleria Mall, the hotel charges for parking. This should not pertain to guests.”

• The overall design of the suite--two completely separate rooms.
• There is construction next door which would be bothersome if trying to sleep in.

“I was very favorably impressed and hope to revisit in the future. It is directly across from the Galleria which would be a big plus if one had the time and inclination for shopping. I had the inclination, not the time.”

• Couldn't get room cool, and when unit came on, it was extremely loud.

“Good location, friendly staff. Clean rooms. Have stayed in better 4 stars, but this one is still very nice. Down side was the air unit apparently wasn't working too well. We never could get the room cool enough, and when the unit did come on it was so loud it woke us up.”

• The room being a suite was very nice. Traveling with a teenager - two TV's was great.
• Having to pay for parking. It was the first time in my travels that I'd had to pay for parking.

• Hotel ambience, spacious rooms, good facilities in the room and convenient location.
• They charge for parking at the hotel and the space for parking is limited.

“I loved this hotel. Excellent ambience, spacious rooms, good facilities and convenient location makes this hotel an excellent choice for leisure and business. The only regret I have is that since I was on business travel, I could not enjoy the hotel and its facilities much. The only negative about the hotel is they charged parking and the parking space is limited. Overall, I loved this hotel and would like to stay again, whenever I visit Dallas.”

• The only thing I noticed was the showerhead not attached to the wall securely.

“We chose the Prava Suites because of its proximity to the American Girl Bistro. We could not have had a better weekend. The hotel was only a block away and the Galleria is right across the street. If we did this again, we would stay there again and again.”

• I don't like having to pay for parking when the hotel has its own parking lot.

• The rooms were large and clean.
• Parking fees are inappropriate. Breakfast menu has other options, but staff will only offer the $15 buffet.

“I liked the free internet access, but the complimentary items stopped there. The room was comfortable with plenty of room, including a large bathroom/shower area. I would recommend prove suites for a low price, but remember to add at least $21/day for prove suites when comparing to the price of similar competitors with free breakfast and parking. They had complimentary evening appetizers (5pm-7pm), but did not include any beverages (not even water). Competitors often include beer and wine, so add that difference if you would normally take advantage of those amenities in similar (i.e. Hilton Homewood suites) hotels.”

• The maids start knocking at 7am.

“This is so much better than when it was the Hilton suites. The rooms are clean and big but now they have a free happy hour with food in the lobby. It was a very nice touch. I would stay there anytime again.”

• Upholstery a little shop worn.

“Good service, more than adequate breakfast buffet, good bar and billiards, sitting room has additional wardrobe storage, bedroom closet a little small if two traveling more than a couple days, complete door separation for sitting area, bath, and bedroom. Wireless a little slow but adequate.”

• Always Clean.
• Never can get a King Size bed for my wife and I - we have to ALWAYS (3rd time) sleep in separate beds.

“Hotel staff does not try to offer a king size bed when purchasing through net. I have used this hotel a number of times and never get a king size bed, only when I purchase as a walk in customer.”
