• I love the location at the mall and the quality of the hotel.

“It's all that you'd expect from a Westin, plus it's in a great location where you can walk in the mall from the lobby. Frequently, I've stayed here when I'm working in Dallas and don't have a car. It's perfect! I love the rooms, the bathroom, the bed, everything!”

• The room was gorgeous felt very luxurious to stay there.
• The bed was very hard.

“I loved the look and feel of this hotel. I instantly felt pampered and luxurious the bellman took a long while to bring my luggage up so I was late to my meeting, but everyone was trying to be as helpful as possible.”

• Convenience of location.

“Overall, a pleasant stay. The room was large with a wonderful view, a comfortable bed, and a walk-in shower. There wasn't vending nearby, so the only option was the in-room stocked fridge. It was also unfortunate that they didn't warn us that the parking wasn't free, but a $25+tax per night cost.”

• Linked to Galleria, rooms are very nicely designed and fresh. Love it. Very clean rooms and beds.
• None so far.

“It is slick. Fresh Midern design. Friendly staff. My 3.5 years old daughter loves the room for some reason. She loved the little fridge. Sliding door of the bath rooms. And most of all she loved the fact that there is ice scatting ring below the hotel and very close to American girls store. Very convenient for kids and the rest of the family needs. Good spot to go to for Dallas I believe.”

• The location and the staff.
• Pool not heated the day we arrived. Room a little small. Shower design poor.

“Friendly staff and a great location relative to the Galleria Mall and north/central Dallas. Rooms not quite as nice as the star level assigned. Also, the mini bar items are on a (overly sensitive) sensor. Young children will almost certainly touch/move the items and you will incurr a charge that has to be backed off. Heated pool was not heated the 1st night and was very cold. Heat was turned on the 2nd night. I would say the location is the main thing that makes this a desirable hotel.”

• Parking! One has to drive around and wait for a space to park.

• You can count on Westin for a decent night's sleep. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet.
• The bathroom door was etched glass. Anyone using the facilities in the middle of the night woke the others in the room with the light.

“The staff was enormously helpful and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. We slept well and enjoyed our stay very much. We also liked the exercise facility, which had ample equipment, all in great repair. The personal TVs on the cardio machines were a real pleasure. In the name of style, however, the Westin has sacrificed some practicality. In the bedroom, across from the etched glass bathroom door was a full-length mirror, which reflected more light into the room from the bathroom in the middle of the night when someone used the john. Moreover, there are no hooks in the bathroom upon which to hang clothing.”

• We loved the newly remodeled room and bathroom. The staff was excellent.
• We were not crazy about the glass bathroom door.

“Our room was very attractive and comfortable. I enjoyed the Starbucks coffee each morning. We loved the heavenly shower! Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the valet parking and were so glad we did. It really made things so much easier.”

• My wife loved walking right from the lobby directly into the Galleria shopping mall.
• Most rooms have only showers. We prefer the option of a tub.

“We were delighted with the quality of the Westin Galleria Hotel. I have never seen another hotel which opens so immediately into a really nice shopping center. The hotel is first class, and our room exceeded our expectations.”

• Location to galleria.
• Bathroom light went out in the middle of my shower.

“The bathroom light went out in the middle of my shower leaving me in total darkness. It took around 1hour for them to fix it. I still had 3 teenage girls that need to get ready. We were about to change rooms when they got it fixed. I asked to be upgraded to a suite for the problem, but the most they would do is the concierge level. They also comped my movie.”

“This is
not a 4 star hotel. The service was terrible, the concierge either had no information or gave us wrong information. They would not call a taxi, instead told us to go outside and hail one. We requested, by phone, our car be brought out of valet and they didn't send for it until we arrived outside, 20 minutes later and requested it a second time. After all of this, they charged us for minibar items we did not use, corrected the bill, then billed us a different, higher amount anyway. I will not stay at this hotel ever again.”

• We loved the initial greeting at the door and the responsive valet parking attendants.
• The TV was nice, but too small.

“An excellent hotel to stay in, especially if you want to shop. The beds and view are wonderful, the shower is state of the art and the personal attention is very professional.”

• Staff was awesome, close to everything.
• Pool was closed.

“The staff was awesome and the room was very nice and the bed was the most comfortable ever, the only downside was the construction, because of that there was no pool. I'm sure it will be great when that's done. And the rest of the prices are expensive for room service, the restaurants, the mini bar in the room ($5 for a water and $3.50 for a soda and there is no close place to get one after 10) they ever charge for Wi-Fi.”

• They were under construction which I did not know about and there was no microwave in the room.

“This was a very nice hotel and worth every penny. It is attached to the Galleria but that mall is not anything special. If you want to shop I recommend going to Stone briar in Frisco.”

• Poor sound-proofing, minimal amenities-expect cotton balls, spa supplies, only one robe in room for two.

“We had an overall enjoyable experience here. The staff was especially helpful and friendly. Location for a shopping trip was perfect. Room for improvement is sound-proofing. We were awakened by screaming child in the hall, and improved amenities like spa-type shampoo, cotton balls, etc.”

• The restaurant in the lobby was awesome. Also the hotel connected to the galleria for shopping.
• The parking was horrible; we finally had no choice but to use valet parking for a $20 fee.

“Overall our stay was pleasant- except for the morning Jack-Hammer noise from construction. The room was very comfortable with a chair and love seat and two additional chairs that came in handy with room service. Although the room was great the view was not.”

• Beautiful room. Very spacious. Had a very nice staff.
• The walls were thin and I could hear everything anyone else said even in the room across from us.

“I thought the rooms were beautiful and I definitely received more than what I paid for. The only two problems that I had were these: 1.) The walls were very thin and I could hear anything in the halls and even in the rooms across the halls.2.) A note in the room said that the hotel provided complementary breakfast. When I asked the front desk about it they said that I had to be a member of the executive club or something like that. It was no problem, however, as the room was good enough for me to overlook that detail. The staff was very apologetic and friendly. Overall, the experience and overall cleanliness and contemporary style of the room was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the hotel.”

“The hotel is beautiful; friendly and helpful staff; room overlooked freeway and was noisy; construction above our rooms woke us around 7 a.m. (sounded like marbles dropping for 1.5 hrs); had to go outside and down stairs to get to parking garage because of construction - very inconvenient; didn't want to have to valet park (very expensive); no microwave or frig. Or free internet connection as we're used to.”

• I liked the room which was clean and comfortable.
• I did not like the difficulty of parking and the fact that the hotel was under construction so that it had limited amenities.

“I'm sure that the Westin will be great when construction is done. Unfortunately, when I reserved a room through I did not know that I would be granted a room in a hotel under construction. The pool was closed; the workout center was a small cramped hotel room with exercise equipment; there was not lobby to speak of and one was constantly walking through construction work to enter and exit the hotel.”

• We love the location in the Galleria shopping mall; it's so convenient to go from room to mall attractions.
• The elevators ran slow; I'm not sure if all were working. each elevator that we got on was always very crowded.

“The Westin is a very nice top-of-the-line hotel which is conveniently located in the Galleria mall complex. It is clean and comfortable. The personnel that we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We have stayed here several times and will gladly do so again. It is our favorite hotel in the Dallas area.”

• The particular weekend there was an Islamic convention and it wasn't up to par--too crowded, long elevator wait

• It was luxurious.
• The staff attended to the perceived needs of those arriving in limos and high-end cars before those who were already waiting

“My daughter and I were in town on a college visit during spring break. We both found the staff to be pretentious, and were happy to check out. We moved to the Radisson in Fort Worth, where we found everyone to be welcoming and friendly, which is what we expected when visiting Texas.”

• Being able to walk right into the mall, the ice skating rink and easy access to the toll way.
• Hotel is old, in need of upgrading. This was not a 4-star hotel.

“The first two nights the air conditioner was broken and had to sleep in an 80 degree room. My daughter has asthma, so it was particularly hard on her. The refrigerator barely kept the milk cold. The toilet was not secured against the wall and it rocked every time you used it. The hotel is old, the beds are hard. I asked for an egg crate to be put on the bed and they never did it. We stayed 7 nights, you would think they could have accommodated me.”
