• The hotel itself exceeded my expectations and the price was unbelievable.
• The neighborhood was a little on the rough side, but it is Dallas after all.

• Location is good, and is very nice for an older hotel. Very nicely remodeled.
• A little below standards for a doubletree, but still a nice hotel.

“I stay at hotels an average of 100 nights per year. While it is possibly not quite as fancy and plush as a typical doubletree property, it is still a nice hotel, and one of the better remodels of an older facility I have stayed at. It was an excellent value for the price and star level selected.”

“As a business women I have been staying at a variety of Whyndham hotels and while at my stay at the Wyndham hotel in Dallas, TX. I was very upset over the service. I had a bad experience at the front desk with the young girl who completely messed up my reservations and when I asked to speak to her manager it got worse. The manager have a clue on how to fix the problem. So when I asked to speak to the GM she stared to get a very bad attitude and said that the GM refused to talk to me. I decided to take my service to the Crown Plaza, across from this place.”

• The location was great because it is near a main highway.
• The cleanliness of the drinking glasses in the rooms.

“The hotel was conveniently located for my husband and the reception desk was friendly. The access to the computer was good. It would be nice to add a small refrigerator and if possible a microwave to the rooms. Overall, the hotel is good.”

• Lobby and public areas were wonderful. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• The walls of this hotel are paper thin. You must request a non adjoining room.

“Location was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and updated. Staff was excellent. The problem is that the walls are paper thin. We had to move rooms and it did little to help. The staff found us another room and it was much quieter until pilots/business travelers had to get up at 3 and 4 am. You could hear people in the hall, the beep of the elevator was constant. We got a free breakfast.”

“We didn't get our appetizer that we ordered before our meal arrived. So had to cancel it. Didnt get our wake up call! The main reason for staying there was to be at a conference at 7:15 am and they never called us. My husband, daughter, and I all heard me call for a wake-up at 6:15 and we all never heard the phone ring. It defeated the whole reason for staying there. This is too simple to get wrong!”

• The day of check in the front desk personal was wonderful.
• Wanted to take my food to my room, she would put it in a box for me not take plate out. I left my food on table.

“The hotel was excellent, my room was small but it still afforded me the quality of a larger room. Mostly I liked the quietness because I had to work three nights.”

• The area is a little ruff. But - if you are with a group or partner, it's fine.

• Everything was newly renovated. Very clean and tasteful.
• We got up early to leave on our departure day and someone had a dog they were taking back to the room.

“The hotel was very nice. However they put us in probably one of the smallest rooms they had just across from the elevator. We weren't there that much so we really didn't care. We felt it was still a wonderful value for the money. The down duvets and pillows were wonderful it was like sleeping in a cloud!!”

“As a first-time visitor to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl, my primary concern was where to go after the game to have fun. The staff offered several options, but ultimately their first choice was best. The hotel was also very nice, but the staff was absolutely superb. Thanks for making my Cotton Bowl experience exceptional!”

“Fine hotel, friendly staff, and good location. I didn't eat at restaurant, or use bar, but they seemed busy. The pool was dirty with leaves, I didn't use it. Aspects of the hotel seem old or outdated, but the interior is nice and comfortable. Very close to market center, easy drive into Dallas. Staff helpful for finding local attractions, etc. A solid 3-star hotel.”

“This hotel is located near quite a few others in the downtown Dallas area. We called before arrival to make sure a late arrival was acceptable and we were told we could check-in until midnight. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The room was not huge, but was sufficient for our stay. The hotel dining was very good; better than I have come to expect from hotel dining (it was even reasonably priced for hotel dining). The bed was excellent, very comfortable with lots of pillows and comfy sheets. The bathroom was a bit small but with nice hot water and good water pressure in the shower (and a nice adjustable shower head). The cookies we received upon arrival were very tasty. Overall, I was very pleased with this hotel and would definitely stay again. Don't believe all those super picky people out there. If you want a comfortable hotel at a reasonable price, this is a good choice.”

“My daughter and I really enjoyed the stay from having plenty of towels, wonderful bedding and a great view of Dallas. All of staff was very friendly and made sure all our needs were met. But lady who was working the morning we checked out acted like we were bother to her as well as the other guest that were checking out. All in all we would come back.”

• The bathroom was so small; we ordered room service food was not good. Crab cake was not fresh and ribs were bloody.

“I expected more for this brand name. From the time I wasn't greeted at the front desk until the time I left I did not feel as if the staff wanted me cluttering up their hotel. Upon arrival I was told to produce and ID and credit card before being issued a stale cookie by a surely kid. The room is very small and you must stand on one side of the toilet to even close the very small bathroom door. Very disappointed in this property.”

We did not eat in the restaurant. My only problem was the room and bath was really small and crowded. We wanted a king bed and did not get one, but that's ok.”

• Amazing/excellent view of the Dallas skyline from the south facing rooms.
• Coors liters were $4.50 each at the bar inside the lobby.

“I would stay here in the future. All I have to say is, "location, location, and location." the hotel is close to downtown, and cedar springs Ave, McKinney Ave/uptown, and most points of interest if you have a car. It would be best to have a car if you stay here. Not much to see or restaurants to eat at within a half mile.”

• For the price I paid, it was well worth it. Very nice room.
• It was sort of off the beaten path, yet convenient enough.

“From the outside, this hotel is very unspectacular, but the room was clean, nice linens, and it was very comfortable. The lobby area was nice, but the folks working at the counter and in the gift shop were not very helpful. They didn't seem to know the surrounding area very well at all.”

“This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was in a great location for what we were doing that evening, even if the adjacent neighborhood was a little sketchy. The service was great and the room was perfect.”
