• The price, the cookie, free parking, nice pool area, and the late-night food.
• They are not dog friendly. My room seemed a little dark and dreary. The pics in the elevator need to be updated.

• The warm fresh cookies at check in and comfort of beds.
• No microwave or mini fridge in room.

“My child had surgery at Children's Hospital and I had to carry her in and out to the hospital for two days. The staff helped me the entire time and I am so appreciative!”

• We liked the comfortable bedding and the Nuetrogena bath products.
• Tight bathroom space and old bedroom decor.

“We were able to check in early which was great. They only had two double beds available at the time, but that was fine. A lot of hotels will not let you check in early at all, so we were pleased. At check in the front desk clerk handed me two warm cookies along with my room cards. She did not explain why she was giving them to me, but apparently this is a Doubletree standard. My stay was fine, but again, it was a 3 star stay at best, not a 3.5 star.”

• The blueberry pancakes we ordered for breakfast through room service were absolutely delicious.
• We were not thrilled about the location. Abandoned buildings were businesses once stood and an old demolished hotel next door was the downside.

“Outside of needing a bit of a face lift, the hotel itself proved to be a decent price-line pick. The lobby was nice. The check-in process was smooth and quick. The employees were friendly and efficient. The king room was spacious and clean. Room service / breakfast was great. The workout facility and pool area were occupied and well kept. Overall, I was pleased.”

• The balcony overlooking the downtown skyline of Dallas was beautiful
• For an anniversary trip it would have been nice to have had a King Size bed instead of 2 doubles.

“Conveniently located to Market Center area...but the neighborhood is a downtown neighborhood...We did hear a gunshot Sunday night.”

• I like the thermostats in the room instead of the ac/heater, that most hotels have.

• The location to the market center.
• My room was small.

“This hotel was great for our stay. The Lobby was small but had an upscale decor. There was a computer located in the lobby for traveler's usage and they gave warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in.”

• The comfort and luxury of the rooms was wonderful. You felt like you were staying in a very upscale (high-end) hotel.
• I liked everything.

• I was locked out of my room; because the card-reader on the door did not work, and it took 2 days to fix .

“The staff was very friendly about my problem above - however the only problem I had with the situation is. I told the lady at the front desk when I left that morning about the door not working and asked her to fix while we were out for the day. But when we went up to our room for the night, which was after 8 pm, the door was still not fixed. However, they did get it resolved before we went to bed.”

• The food in the hotel restaurant was very good and not over priced.
• The bathroom was clean and updated but not very big.

“The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. It was very convenient to American Airlines Center. A free shuttle is provided to events. There is not many restaurants near, only a Denny's across the street. We ate supper and breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. Both meals were very good and at a good value.”

• Location and price.

“Upon check-in, the woman at the front desk did not acknowledge me, a man from the back came to check me in and was not friendly. Upon returning later in the evening, I asked the front desk if they could tell me of a food delivery service, as the restaurant was closed, I was told there wasn't any delivery,and no vending machines. When I got to my room, I called Domino's, who promptly delivered to my room. And there was a sign on a different floor than mine, that pointed to Vending machines. I did not go to see if there were any or not.”

• We did not get a king size bed.

“Very nice hotel, was very impressed. The beds and bedding were so nice and comfortable, the room decorations were very nice, bathroom was very nice, especially the shower heads. Very impressed. Did not specify king size bed when we checked in, came right back immediately.”

• Staff was wonderful.
• The cleaning staff was not on point daily!

“This hotel was beautiful outside even though the hotels on the sides were huge eyesores! The staff's great personalities made up 10 fold for anything that could have gone wrong! We also had a baby(2yrs)who was scared of the large freeways, so the hotel greeter went as far as finding and printing street directions to all the local tourist sights!”

• Front desk had rolodex of directions to various local destinations. Very helpful.
• Toilet in room was locker room style with bare pipes coming from the wall.

“Nice central location with access to highways, downtown, airports, and other hotels. Quiet with comfortable beds. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of parking.”

“We loved it. It was just what we were looking for in Dallas for only one night. We ordered breakfast via room service and really enjoyed it. Although my eggs were colder than Id hoped. Didn't have much time to check out the pool and restaurant, but both seemed nice!”

“The hotel was nice, but it was located in a older, more decrepit part of town. The amenities appeared good in general (e.g., pool, internet access, etc.), but we were disappointed that there wasn't even a refrigerator in the room, the TV had poor reception, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, etc. The room also appeared smaller than most others and was located right in front of the elevators so you heard a lot of the coming and going of other guests all day and night.”

• The parking lot is kind of small, but very close to the hotel.

“The Doubletree hotel is great. This is actually my first time in a 3 star hotel, and I enjoyed every minute of it, while we were only there to sleep, shower, and eat. My hotel room was very exceptional and clean. There were clean towels, clean drinking cups, a closet with hangers and an iron with ironing table. The extra accessories of the place made it worth while. There was a gym and a pool, but unfortunately I was unable to use them, because of my busy schedule. I very much do recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in.”

• I liked the location as well as the many amenities. The pool, business center, work out facilities, it was a nice place to stay.
• There was a family in the room next to mine, and they were not in control of their children, they made lots of noise well into the night, so that made.

• Even though it was a non smoking room and floor it stunk of smoke at all times.

“I would not stay at this hotel again. The smell of smoke came through the vents. All my clothing smelled of smoke, it was like being in a Smokey bar 24hrs a day.”

• This hotel was beautifully decorated with very comfortable bedding.
• Because they do not serve a complimentary breakfast, we had to get up and out sort of early with the kids. The hotel restaurant was way too expensive.

• Soft beds, soft pillows, large clean pool with towels, comfortable lobby, free WiFi, all in all awesome!
• The location was more for business people than vacationers. Basically it was too far from the Galleria.

• Easy to find and convenient to airport.
• Bathroom extremely small and I was mislead by hotel staff by the sleeping accommodations.

“I was very disappointed in this being a 5 star hotel! The bathroom was extremely small and they only provided enough towels for two individuals in the room. When I called the hotel to make arrangements, I asked if there was a sleeper couch in the room and I was told yes and it could accommodate to people. When I arrived I was told there was no couch but a balcony and a lounge chair. The balcony was worthless. what good is a 4X5 balcony with no furniture and the door did not open wide enough to put a chair on the balcony. Besides we needed a place for someone to sleep, not a balcony. The lounge chair that I was told could be used for someone to sleep on was an extremely hard, chair with a wide base that sat almost straight up. This was not fit to put a small child on to sleep and certainly not an adult! The patio furniture at the pool was more comfortable than the lounge chair. When my daughter got in the bed and pulled the blankets back there was a spider crawling out from under her pillow. Overall the hotel was ok for no more than two people. I would probably not stay in this hotel if given the opportunity to do so again.”

• The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice to us.
• We stayed 5 nights and one day out of our stay we had to ask for our room to be cleaned, I guess they forgot, not sure what happened.

• The beds, the cleanliness of the hotel common areas and rooms.
• You could buy crack 2 blocks from the hotel and I do not like crack.

“The overall hotel was really pretty nice; it is just very unfortunate that the area of town it is in is quite nasty. Do not plan on going to a convenient store or grocery store unless you want to drive along way or you want to get mugged.”
