  • Daytime staff was helpful and kind.
  • Early morning staff was rude and not helpful at all.

“The room was clean and smelled nice. The daytime front desk staff was extremely helpful making recommendations, printing directions and just being kind and welcoming. I had to fly out of the airport on a 6am flight so I left at around 3:30. The woman at the desk wouldn't print directions to the airport and gave me very poor verbal directions. I did wind up taking a wrong exit but got out of Dallas ok. Overall, with the exception of the rude front desk staff - this was a wonderful experience.”

  • Our room was not made up the 2 days we were there!

“I'll never stay there again, especially on business. Holiday Inn is a preferred Hotel for my company, at least until i tell them of this encounter! The front desk was friendly until there were problems. We stayed 3 nights for my daughter's wedding. Of the 5 rooms we had, under various people, 4 out of 5 had unsatisfactory problems. My room was not made up the 2 days i was there. I had to call and eventually go to the front desk to get towels. We asked for 2 double beds and got one king bed for 4 adults. We finally got that changed. One other room had the same problem and they would not correct it and on the second night finally provided a roll away bed. My father's (79 yrs old) room which was shared with my son (29 yrs old) only had a king bed and they had to sleep in it because once again the front desk would not correct it. (I believe they may have discounted there room on the last day of our stay) Our room, was very damp. This dampness was very bad for my wife's asthma. I can not even begin to explain the stress this added to a very happy and yet stress for time for my daughter's wedding. On the last morning when i went to the front desk, yet again, to complain to the on duty manager i was told there was nothing he could do. So, no refund, no satisfaction and one of the worst experiences i have ever had in all my years. I am confident I will not see a refund of any kind from you as well. Bottom-line ' this was the poorest experience in a hotel stay and travel service i have ever had. I am sure we will be talking about this one for years. I won't even go into the emotional pain it created for our daughter the bride!”

  • The hospitality of the staff was so much better than that of so many other hotels. They appreciated my business.
  • No radio in my room --- I really to wake up to music. Incomplete set of personal amenities, like shampoo, mouthwash, etc.

  • I loved the gym and the pool.
  • The train that runs all night across the street.

“The hotel lobby was not very clean, they had a large TV. Blasting all day & night & the worst part was the Train Tracks across the street that the train runs on all day & night long. The pool was nice in the Texas Heat & the gym was Nice.”

  • I liked the bedding. I hate hotels with the nasty bedspreads. This had big fluffy comforters and soft sheets.
  • Cost of breakfast.

“Outstanding! The convenience of an in-house restaurant, bar, and shuttle to nearby establishments make it easy for a patron to enjoy a worry-free stay. The staff is very knowledgeable of the local area, and offers suggestions for anything from A to Z. I really enjoyed my stay, and in the event of a return to Dallas, I will definitely stay at this location first.”

  • Close to Downtown hot spots. The hotel shuttle was very accommodating.
  • Street construction around the hotel.

“The hotel was very nice, the newly remodeled rooms were refreshing. The bed was quite comfy. The bathroom well stocked with towels and toiletries. An added bonus was the coffee and tea selection. I can't say how helpful the hotel shuttle was when it came to getting my husband and I to the nightlife in downtown Dallas.”

  • The staff was the friendliest I have ever seen.
  • Lots of construction in the area.

“The thing that stood out to me the most in our stay at the Holiday Inn Market Center was the guest service. I have stayed at Caesar's Palace and the staff was far friendlier and ready to assist here at Holiday Inn. From the manager to the maintenance people, they all knew how to treat the guest. And to think at one point, this hotel had the worst reputation in Dallas! What a turn around!”

“When I arrived, I asked to change my room from 1 bed to double beds, as I was traveling with my 38 yrs old son. Apparently, they were having some kind of girls volleyball thing in the area and it was inundated with teens everywhere and they said they only had one room with 2 beds, but there was no TV. We agreed to no TV, but when we got in the room, it was not 2 beds, it was a king bed and a sofa couch. We were not in the mood to fold out a couch and make it up ourselves. Then there was nothing in the kitchen - no microwave, no fridge, no trash cans, but there was a little bitty one cup coffee maker. They could have been honest about the two beds, I would have never taken a fold out couch to have to make myself!”

“This hotel was just perfect for us. The location was central to all of the things we were doing. We even had a bird's eye view of the Dallas fireworks on the 4th of July! The staff was friendly and helpful. They even accommodated a request from the 5 year old to be "up as high" as possible and they changed our room to the top floor. Very clean and had everything we needed!”

  • New hotel, clean and attractive both inside and out.
  • Live railroad tracks next to hotel with trains blaring through the night.

“Overall I was pretty happy here. There were young kids running around making a huge racket on the floor while I was trying to do work in my room. The hotel staff briefly took care of, but this is more a matter of bad parenting than the hotels fault. The restaurant was a waste of time. I waited 5 minutes at dinner time without anyone even so much as acknowledging me and the place was pretty much dead so I went out to eat. Not too many decent restaurants nearby though. The hotel is by some active railroad lines so there are constant train horns blaring throughout the night which made it a bit tough to sleep solid. But overall the hotel was clean, new, and nice and I would probably stay there again.”

  • Construction area, some sort of metal bar sticking out of the side of the bed frame that could have injured someone if they had not seen it.

  • Recently renovated. Like new!
  • Fitted bottom bed sheet kept coming off the bed. It was too small for the thick mattress.

“Awesome re-do of this old hotel. The building was gutted and everything is new. Nice granite countertops, high-grade sheets, nice comfortable beds. The fitted bottom sheet on the king-size bed was too small for the thick mattress though and kept coming off during the night. That was annoying. The duvet comforter was great!”

  • The ac and room air was humid and had much odor.

“Location fair. Lobby dull and boring, same for bar and restaurant. Room was ok. Beds best thing about the whole deal I guess. Plenty of pillows which are good. Nice TV. Wireless internet a plus. Room air and ac was about as bad as it could be. I should have requested better. Poor bath accoutrements and crappy shower, no shelves etc. In the shower. I hope I don't pick this on again on pl. I'd probably pay but stay in a second hotel.”

  • The fitness center, the restaurant, and the hotel staff.
  • I could not print any business documents in their business center even with aid of staff.

  • The staff and restaurant were both very good.
  • There was a power outage in the middle of the stay no power for several hours.

“The restaurant and staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean as well. However, there was a power outage and the hotel seemed ill equipped to handle the crisis as I had to maneuver 8 flights of stairs at 4:00 am. in the morning without any light. Whatsoever. When the power shut down initially, the emergency lights kicked on so that you could at least see in the hallways. However, it seemed as if that backup generator didn't have a lot of juice because three/four hours later, there was no light anywhere and they hung green and orange glow sticks on the stairwells to provide light. Other than that, the stay was fine.”

  • Pleasantly surprised at the renovations of an old hotel that sometimes had a sleazy reputation.
  • My own discomfort knowing the former reputation of the hotel and the area. The good number of guest coming and going tells good things.

  • Hotel not a "green" establishment.

“Newly renovated; but, not a "green" establishment. Too much electricity used. Entire building illuminated at night. Every lamp, ceiling fixture, and wall sconce turned on by housekeeping everyday. I had to ask for the lights to be left off. Air conditioning lowered to 65 degrees by housekeeping staff. I had to ask to leave ac set to 72 degrees. No system for re-using towels; new towels everyday.”

“My daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Inn while in Dallas for a concert event. She and I felt safe and comfortable. The room was clean, quiet and nicely decorated. It had a pivoting LG flat screen, good linens, and fantastic water pressure/temperature. Even the complimentary coffee was of good quality. Even though the hotel was close to a rail line, the solid construction and our location within the building kept us from being disturbed by any passing trains. This hotel also has a zero-tolerance 100% no smoking policy - smoking in your room will cost you $250, something to keep in mind if you are a smoker.”

  • Clean and upscale.
  • Service was a little off and the bar and I was the only customer.

“Very pleased with the hotel, it was very close to the hospital and I felt secure even though I was traveling with a young child. I love the perks here for the priority club.”

  • The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice with good beds and linens.
  • The shuttle service was poor. We waited for over an hour for a pickup 3 miles away and finally paid for a taxi.

“This was a very nice clean modern hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff.”
