“The hotel charged $2.00 for a 12 oz soda in the gift shop. Only a $1.50 for a 20 oz at the soda machine, located a mile away from the rooms. However, the soda machine only took credit cards. Unbelievable. Should have a
little fridge in the room, especially for travelers staying for
many days. Also need smoking rooms.”

• Fire alarm sounded at 2 a.m.

“Overall the hotel was great. However, the fire alarm went off for 15 minutes at 2 a.m. in the morning. No one from the hotel went to the different floors to explain, evacuate or help. Everyone staying in the hotel was in their halls, in their nightwear, having no idea what to do. When the alarm finally went off still no explanation, and the front desk would not answer their phone. Apparently a drunk had pulled the fire alarm, but an explanation at the time would have made for a less stressful night.”

• Lots of stains in room and halls - humid room.

“Just alright. Room got very humid at night and the pillows were quite stiff. Ok if your just passing through but not so much for a romantic night away from home-which was our intent. Overall the stay was pleasant and the staff was textbook friendly, meaning no one went beyond what they were required.”

“Great, convenient location. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds. Pool was nice, spa was large but weak pressure from the jets. Frustrating when hotels of this level charge you for the internet at a rate of $10 per day. Overall a very nice hotel though.”

• The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The room temperature was easy to adjust.
• The hotel is so spread out, like a maze. The clerk who checks you in should tell you which area to park in that would be convenient to your room.

• The A/C units may bother guests. But they do have ear plugs in every room.

“Overall I cannot complain about my stay at this hotel. What left a sour taste in my mouth was the $9.95 charge for 24 hours of Internet access something that hotels began charging for several years ago. Since that time competition has resulted in most medium to upscale hotels including free high speed Internet access as part of their room rates. Obviously this hotel doesn't feel the need to compete for traveler's hotel dollars. I hope they enjoyed the $9.95 they gouged me out of for Internet access. They just reminded me why if I book a hotel direct I always book at a Sheraton.”

• Security guard on our floor.
• Location, the stained carpets, the views of the parking garage, the layout of the hotel - hard to get around, it smelled funny.

“Needs more exterior lighting, needs updating, cramped rooms, TV. remote didn't work properly, no in-room refrigerator, spa didn't have enough chlorine in it, access to rooms was very confusing.”

“My husband and I spent the weekend in Dallas for his birthday. The price we paid for 3 nights was well worth it. The room was a nice size with the pullout sofa, computer desk with internet connections and the staff was very helpful. The only thing we were somewhat disappointed about was the workout facility was outdated, but if you dont workout then this place is perfect for you.”

“It was a last minute trip to Dallas on New Years, so the selection was small for the area we needed to stay in. Pulled up to the hotel and it seemed nice. The lady at the front desk wouldnt let me check in, because my husband wasn't with me and my Name wasn't on the reservation. I always just put it under his Name and it has never been an issue. I had the print out reservation and my id and they still refused to allow me to check in. I call my husband and he arrives- they put us in a double bed/smoking room. .”

• Rude receptionists, room service did not clean every day.

“When we arrived we had a problem checking in. The woman at front desk had the worst attitude problem, who talks down to a customer? Room service did not clean our room everyday and when we did call questioning the reasoning behind them not cleaning our room, they lied and said we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door. A sign we didn't even have in our room. All over terrible service which is a total shame because it was a very good looking hotel.”

• It's kind of set up weird, like an old apartment complex or something.

• Good location, attractive from a distance.
• Room and public area carpets torn and stained, fixtures rundown.

“This could be a very attractive hotel, but there was a significant amount of wear and tear. The carpets in the hall were stained and the carpet in our room was torn in several places. The toilet first looked like it was not cleaned, but turned out to be stained. The tub was stained and need of repair in several places. The exterior was well maintained and attractive. There were a number of meetings and seemed like this was their mainstay. I would not give this a 3 star currently.”

“I had read about the ability to hear hallway noise and nearby bathrooms, so I was prepared to ask for a top floor room, which they accommodated. However, no one mentioned the in room air conditioners that turn on like a rifle shot. Dallas in summer is no place to turn off the AC, and it woke us up intermittently all night long. We got little sleep, and would not go back. It's too bad because it is a convenient location.”

• The cleanliness, the rude staff, and the unruly guests.

“This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Dallas and that is surprising because the Crowne Plaza is usually a good brand. But step into the lobby and you will enter a mix of third-world countries (50% India and 50% New Orleans ghetto) and a staff that sits back, watches, laughs, and does nothing for customers. Unsafe, very dirty, and laughing at you because you were stupid enough to pay money to stay there. Never, ever, again.”

• Internet access was as much as I pay for 1 month for one day.

“The hotel lobby was under renovation during our stay which made it necessary to detour through one of their eating establishments. A somewhat embarrassing situation. I needed internet access briefly during my stay and found it more affordable to go to a McDonalds down the street. The room was very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. Aside from detours and costly internet, it was a very nice stay.”
