“I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Select in North Dallas - 635/Josey. The hotel staff was professional and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, the location of the hotel was terrific. I highly recommend!”

“I've stayed at this hotel many times, probably a total of 20 or so nights in the past year, and have always enjoyed my stay. My only gripe would be that the bathrooms need some serious updating. The toilets in some of the rooms don't work so great and a few of the bathroom fans don't work at all.”

• The room was spacious and comfortable.
• The desk clerk on the night of the 31 was extremely rude.

“I overall, had a really good stay at the hotel and if i was in the area again,
I would stay at this particular hotel again. There was one person from the staff that was rude, but
I would not ruin the rating just on one person.”

• Everything is as I expected I will consider this hotel for next trips.
• The 3rd floor coke machine was not taking bills or was not working but I am happy about the service and cleaness of this hotel.

• It has a restaurant on site for convenience, prices are reasonable.
• Rooms are small and old. It smells old and rusty.

was unfriendly. The whirlpool tub by the pool is dirty. Rooms are small and old. It needs a lot of renovation.”

• Its design is nice especially the lobby. I very much liked the fact that I was able to have access to computers and printers in the lobby.
• The house keeping are not doing their job as they should do.

• Clean, looks new, well maintained, friendly staff, great views.
• A quicker way to get to the rooms at the backside of the hotel (with the luggage) from parking lot would have been very helpful.

• I liked the pool and fitness room.
• The halls smelled dank and musty, and our room looked clean but was damp and musty.

“Overall, I liked the hotel. The bathroom was clean, the bedding was clean, and the carpets were clean. I thought the restaurant had great coffee and an excellent breakfast buffet. The staff was great. The pool and fitness area were excellent and neat. Now the bad part: the room we had smelled musty, dank and was very humid. The halls in the upper floors were poorly ventilated, hot and smelly. Also, the area on three sides was very rough and sleazy.”

• Our bed was comfortable.
• The room smelled. We had to spray my wife's perfume to make it bearable.

“Our room was a non-smoking room. There was no smell of smoke in our room. But every floor or area of the hotel stunk of smoke. I would put it as a 2 star hotel, not a 3.”

• Convenient and the restaurants were adequate.
• They nickel and dime you to death. Breakfast, microwave, fridge, fax laundry and soap, everything was a cost. Not a 3 star hotel at all.

“The hotel was probably fine, the policy of charging for everything was a disappointment. I stay at hotels 24 days a month and am treated like royalty.”

• I did not care for the lobby been located at the back side of the hotel from the road frontage.

• It was clean and quite.
• We did not have a shuttle to the airport and had to pay a very large amount or a taxi!

“The hotel was fine if you are staying in Dallas, which we were not. After 8 hours of driving we did not expect a hassle getting to the hotel. Our flight was early morning and there was no shuttle.”

• The quality of the food was higher than expected.
• Though not the hotels problem, getting back on the highway wasn't marked with signs & could be confusing for those not familiar with the area.

“It was fine, not the best 2.5 I've stayed at but alright. Everything was clean, which is a big plus. The pool could have had extended hours and not closed at 10.”

• There were some repairs to ceilings and walls that need attention.

“The hotel was what I expected. It was an older Holiday Inn. It fit its purpose. A bed to sleep in. The front desk clerk was funny, friendly. A delight actually! But this hotel was not close to my destination.”

• Indoor/Outdoor Pool with Hot Tub.
• No thermo state on the air. Always on and freezing or off for one minute and HOT!

“This hotel was very pretty on the inside and the rooms were very nice and CLEAN. The beds were comfortable. The bathtub/shower was awesome. A little wider than normal and so much more comfortable. The breakfast was too expensive and next time well avoid that and maybe checks for a hotel with breakfast included in the price.”

• The indoor/outdoor swimming pool was fabulous! The size of the pool and area was wonderful as well.
• Nothing. Everything fit perfectly for us.

“This hotel was in a perfect location for our Girl Scout trip as we split our time between the Galleria and Grapevine. However, the location of the hotel offered other directional options for getting to the Galleria during high traffic times. The indoor/outdoor pool was beyond expectations and was absolutely perfect for our group. The size of the pool offered enough space for our large group as well as other hotel guests. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful with our many questions. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers, especially families.”

• There is nothing good to say about this hotel or the location or staff.
• Very rough are hotel rooms and they stunk. The staff was very unfriendly and the police was always knocking on someone's hotel door.

“Dirty rooms and lobby, rough area, unfriendly staff. I asked for a wake-up call and never received it, if I would had enough money I would had bought another room that night at a different hotel. It was a terrible hotel.”

“Ok for the price. I asked for an upgrade and they said everything was booked with a Mary Kay convention. I only saw 2 other people the whole time. I parked right by the front door multiple times and never saw a pink car (indicative of a Mary Kay convention) anywhere. Just say no to the upgrade. Don't lie.”

• Half of electricity in our room did not work in our room.

“This is not a 3 star hotel. This should be 2. The property is old and out of date. The TV's are small and in poor working order. Housekeeping missed my room on a 2 night stay and by the time I returned to my room after fighting Dallas traffic I was told housekeeping was gone for the day.”

• I complained about the noise from the elevator and they changed my room immediately.
• Walls are thin and you can hear everyone walking and talking.

“Noise is the only complaint that I have. One of the access controlled door giving entry to the hotel had not worked for two weeks, anyone could enter through that door.”

• The hotel room was nice and spacious. It was huge with an indoor/outdoor pool, spa, bar & conference rooms.
• I didn't like the exterior of the hotel. The inside was dated and needed remodeling.

“The maintenance staff and room service were friendly but the desk staff could work on their customer service skills a little more. Overall it wasn't too bad. There were a lot of little league groups and families around.”

• It was in good condition and everything was really clean.
• Though we got the King room it was really small, I think they gave us one of the smaller rooms available.

“It was nice. Not sure if I'd say it was 3 star but overall not bad. Room was a bit small. We both had the king bed and compared to mine it was nearly twice the size! But the bed was descent and the lobby looked nice. Had a restaurant but little selection and pricey.”

• It was clean, and the room was nice.
• The ice machine leaked on our floor, and the whole side of our floor smelled mildew in the hallway.

“I enjoyed the cleanliness and the staff that cleaned was sweet. I think the breakfast should be included with the hotel. The hallway was mildew. But the pool was great, and the room was great.”

• It had a great pool, hot tub and other public spaces.
• I expected the room to be larger.

“Overall, it was a pretty nice hotel. The staff was friendly. The first day our shower drain was stopped up. They came quickly to fix it and we didn't have that problem again. The only thing I was really disappointed with was our friend that stayed at the same hotel at the same time as us. Though our bathroom was a little bit larger than his. I found it to be in a nice location, safe, close to popular attractions in Dallas and the Fort Worth area. Overall, it was a nice stay.”

“When I checked in, I found my two bed room had one bed that had been slept in, used fast food containers on the desk and dirty towels on the floor. When I called the front desk, I was told housekeeping was gone for the day. The next day the trash was still on the floor where I cleared it off of the desk.”
