“This was a relaxing getaway for my husband and I, the hotel has good restaurants inside the hotel, but also within walking distance there are a couple upscale dining places. Perfect for a getaway, anniversary, etc.”

• The landscaping was beautiful and well maintained.

“Tucked into Las Colinas, walking distance to the LC Mustangs sculptures, the hotel was located on the Mandalay canal. Beautiful landscaping and well-maintained public areas make the hotel very luxurious. Doormen are friendly and not pushy. The front desk was very efficient and calm.”

• Very beautiful, free parking, comfortable beds.
• Hardest hotel ever to find.

“We really didn't spend a lot of time at this hotel, just came for six flags, but it took me almost 2 hours to find it and I travel a bit too. Maybe it was just late and I was tired. Talk about off the beaten path - this was it! It was lovely, and comfortable with large rooms and comfy beds. No kids channels though- but it was ok. They need help in the parking department though - our last night is when the hurricane came and had evacuee's come in. I couldn't find a parking place. People were parked up and down the street. Free apples at the front desk- no vending machines though - but again, no big deal. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.”

• The ambience of the hotel was wonderful and they met all expectations.
• The pool was quite away from the room and the paper holder in the bathroom was defective.

“Wonderful place to stay. The staff was very professional. The spa is awesome. The dining is superb however it is not a motel 6, no vending machines there is a refreshment area in room that are priced a little beyond reasonable.”

• We had no hot water, room was by the ice machine which was annoying; terrible smell in bathroom, coffee too strong from room service.

• We were upgraded to a suite free of charge.
• The ice machine didn't work and it cost $6.99 per 15 minutes to connect to the internet.

• Bathtub was incredibly small.

“The Mandalay was an incredible place to stay although, room wise it was not any better then an average hotel with exceptions to nice sheets and a nice comforter. Overpriced food and in room items. $6.00 for a bottle of water - get out your wallet! Would I stay again, yeah, probably so!”

• Excellent customer service from a friendly staff.
• The area is still growing so there aren't a lot of restaurants nearby.

“Omni Mandalay is lush a quiet from the lobby to the marble bathrooms in the guest room to the hotel pool beside the lake. When the friendly front desk clerk chatted with us at check in and found out it was our anniversary they upgraded us to a suite for free. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the coffee better than average. The hotel pool was brilliantly clean and kept at a comfortable temperature. There was some irritating music being played from speakers around the pool. The bartender at the pool bar made an excellent frozen margarita. We will go out of our way to stay at the Omni Mandalay again.”

• The comfort and the luxury of the hotel at a price we could afford.
• Not enough parking spaces for larger vehicles.

“My husband and I stayed with another couple and were astounded at how beautiful and how comfortable the hotel rooms and facilities were. The staff was courteous and helpful. The pool was nice and relaxing as well as the hot tub. We had no complaints.”

• Wonderful place to go on weekend getaway with spouse/partner.
• Spa services quite expensive; internet access expensive.

“This hotel is great for a romantic getaway, for a trip with children, or for travel with children. They are extremely child-friendly offering fun activities. Upscale for children but not uptight! Poolside service is fantastic. Is also a great hotel for a get-reconnected with your spouse experience.”

• They were out of towels at the pool for several hours.

“Very nice hotel, but the pillows were terrible on the bed. The only other complaint was being out of towels at the pool area for several hours and it was a long walk to the pool from the room. The staff was accommodating and friendly.”

• I like the lobby decor and the orchids on every desk.
• The TV was quite far from the bed and hard to see. One local channel did not come in very well and had static.

“This is one of our favorite hotels in Dallas. The staff is very attentive, the rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The concierge is always helpful with whatever request I made, even local pizza delivery late on Saturday night.”

• It was very good. The staff and the cleanness were superb.
• I didn't like that you had to pay for wireless internet. I didn't like that they charged so much for the food in the hotel.

• The adjoining room for the kids was extremely convenient.
• Somewhat difficult to find in Dallas.

• The staff was EXCELLENT. So friendly and helpful!
• I loved this hotel.

“I arrived about 9 pm and was met at the registration desk by a smiling, cheerful young woman. I had asked for a "high floor" and my room was on the 27th floor of the 28 story hotel. The pool & patio was next to a lake. It was so nice to sit out on the pool patio next to the lake. I asked an employee if there was a soda machine (there wasn't) but he opened up the little convenience store to get me a soda. GREAT customer service. Later I realized my room had a well stocked snack and drink bar. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.”

• The view of the river from our room and the pool.
• The location of the hotel was not convenient.

“This hotel is very much like a resort. It sits on a river. The facility is very, nice. The view from the hotel room at night was just beautiful. The pool and playground are right next to the river. The hotel has a ramp for the swans and ducks to come out of the water and a covered shelter for them. This was a wonderful experience.”

• The location was a peaceful and safe area.
• A maid came into my room after only a short knock, no cart, so why?

“My expectations were not met. The hot tub only had two jets working and my bathroom had mold spots on the ceiling. The cleaning staff should be instructed to not speak so loudly up and down the halls.”

• Where a person sleeps, a person lives. This would make a great place to live.

“We found the room great. Great bed. Very clean. Restaurant had minimal selection of food and was too expensive. Pre ordering champagne and strawberries was a great idea on my behalf. They had them waiting in the room when I got there and it was reasonably priced at 48$.”

• Very friendly atmosphere. I felt very safe in my surroundings.
• For a short stay, it was great! I would've loved to see little shoppettes.

“We're from California and was our first time in Dallas. It was me, my sister, and my 2 yr old niece. We felt very safe around the hotel. We felt very welcome as soon as we came in from our long flight. The only thing I hated was the fact that one of the hotel operators gave us wrong directions coming from the car rental for the airport. We had to finally stop after 45 minutes and get the GPS system out of my luggage. After that, we were able to go around without any problems. If you're out of town, you really need to know your freeways. But once we got to the hotel, it was worth it. We had double beds and the beds were big and inviting. The room we were in was like a suite. I have no complaints. The concierge was excellent in giving directions on how to get to places. There were plenty of people opening the doors for you and helping you out with whatever you need. I just loved the friendly atmosphere.”
