• Even though it is an older hotel, it looked very nice on the inside.
• The exterior could use a facelift to look more modern.

• The room was very comfortable.
• An obvious recent renovation of an older hotel left a couple of items undone the doors (bathroom, front door) looked very cheap.

“Overall, it was a nice, comfortable place to stay, especially for the great price we got. I would stay there again.”

• The swimming pools were awesome! There were both indoor and outdoor.
• There was nothing that I disliked about this hotel.

“This was an awesome hotel for the price we received on Priceline. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are wonderful. There is a walking trail that takes you to the lake. Also the hotel is across the street from grapevine mills mall and close to bass pro shop and lots of wonderful eating establishments. I will definitely stay here again.”

• The location was great and the rooms were nice.
• The crib they provided was very old and rickety.

“The hotel was in a great location for dining out, shopping,and the airport. Parking was easy and free. The lobby was spacious and beautiful. All of the staff were very helpful. We had issues with our TV remote/movies ordered and it was promptly resolved by the staff. The rooms were very nice and included a modern leather recliner which was great for night feedings with our infant. The restroom was nice but small.”

• Very clean facility, the staff was friendly and just being at this hotel was a vacation in and of itself.
• Check in time was not until 3pm and the room was sort of small.

“The staff was friendly, especially at the front desk. While the room was smallish but adequate, the facilities overall were well kept, clean and quite. A very satisfying and enjoyable stay.”

• The gorgeous outdoor setting, including the pool that overlooked the lake.
• The doors are incredibly loud when they close. Only complaint.

“The Hilton DFW Lakes is a lovely hotel set on resort-like grounds. The extra amenities, like badminton courts, ping pong tables, and tennis courts, were appreciated. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be of assistance.”

• Access is a little difficult due to highway configuration.

• Convenient and clean, friendly, comfy beds.
• Maid in the morning. early and loud!

“The maid was knocking at our door around 8:30 -8:45 in the morning. It woke us up. Then she continued to let the surrounding doors slam constantly as she went in and out cleaning rooms. Her cart was in the hall, so every time she needed anything, she would let the door slam. It was rude and we felt she was doing it on purpose to get people up.”

• The staff at the hotel was always smiling and ready to help in everyway.
• The Texas roads need better signs to find the hotel.

“My visit was very short but very pleasant. The outdoor pool and spa which sit next to the lake were wonderful. All in all it was a great place to stay.”

• Honeymoon night and they bumped to suite room! Awesome.

• I felt like royalty. I never had to open one door for myself!
• Lobby was a little busy, but there was a convention, so understandable.

• Lousy pillows on the bed.

“Very good facility in a prime location, especially if you like to shop. Bass Pro and Grapevine Mills shopping across the street. Very close to DFW airport but very little jet noise. Not close to Six Flags or Sports arenas. Traffic congestion light-moderate. Staff was outstanding. Would stay here again.”

“I found this hotel to be very accommodating. I liked the fact that there were no hidden costs such as parking or paying for computers. The employees went over and beyond to please the customer and the concierge is excellent. This is a plus place to stay!”

• Convenient to downtown Long Beach and even provided a free shuttle and free Internet service.
• Not impressed with the restaurant & bar area.

“We liked the convenience and location of this hotel to Long Beach area. Also, the "free" Internet computer setup in the lobby was really appreciated. One of the staff members provided an excellent suggestion for pastries and sandwiches within walking distance, which we enjoyed on several occasions.”

• The bedding and the cleanliness of the room.
• I did not like that there was not a complimentary breakfast included for the room. Even lower priced hotels do that.

“The hotel experience was great. The room was very clean and the bedding was wonderful! The directions that we got off of the website left a lot to be desired. We got lost 3 times as did another traveler I spoke with. Call the hotel ahead of time for better directions.”

• No ice in machines; room was not prepared for 2nd nights stay.

• All the amenities, Staff, restaurants, and sports bar, cleanliness, full Gym, and the food was excellent, concierge friendly and helpful not having to.
• Can't name one thing I didnt like about this Hotel.

“This is a Hotel I recommend to any Business person and couples who like to get away on Romantic trips. And all the Amenities, you can think of at your leisure. All the staff their will make your stay very pleasant.”

• The room didn't have a bathtub, only a shower. Not easy traveling with a baby.

“Everything was perfect with this hotel except the room needed a bathtub. The shower was great, but without a tub, traveling with a baby can be a pain.”

• The room furnishings were wonderful and upscale.
• Giant Texas sized crickets in my room in the morning.

“Very nice hotel, lovely facility and grounds, attentive staff, easy to get around. The giant crickets in my room in the morning did not make me happy. However, the hotel staff accommodated me with a reduction in the cost of my stay.”

• Only feather pillows. Nice to have 2 of each on the beds.

• We really enjoyed playing basketball in the outside pool & the grounds were spacious & nice.
• The outside hot tub was much in need of attention.

“We were pleased with the experience. The bed and pillows were very comfortable - and in a spacious room. The grounds provided opportunity for many activities. Although we did not eat breakfast at the hotel, we were impressed with the quality and selection of food at the buffet.”
