• Only the location.
• Cleanlyness, apperance, estethic repairs were horrible.

“The owners should take some pride in the property. It does not need to be fancy. but the profiting property deserves to have some money spent on it for repairs and maintenance. It just reeks as if they are just taking all the money out of the property. I will never be back nor use this hotel company anywhere again. If they don't care, then
I won't care either.”

• Beds were comfortable and air conditioner/heater worked OK.
• Key cards defective; hard to open door; hair dryer didn't work; no toilet paper; continental Breakfast closed 1 hour early and I didn't get to eat.

“This hotel has a lot it needs to straighten out with itself. It’s definitely overpriced for what they offer. Unprofessional is so many ways, and does not measure up to other La Quinta's I've visited.”

• Location and price were just what we were looking for.
• Everything was fine. I would have preferred a king-size bed.

• I enjoyed that the staff was very pleasant, and that they accept pets.
• I did not like that the pool was very dirty, and seemingly under-treated.

“The staff was very friendly, and our room was for the most part nice, serving our purpose as evacuees. My strongest recommendation is that the pool be better kept. It was constantly infested with leaves, and bird feathers, despite efforts to sweep it each morning. It is centered between 2 trees, which by each afternoon was full of birds, hence the feathers in the pool. The pool water also did not appear properly treated, as it had a dirty smell. That said, the kids had a wonderful time, and the adults were able to relax at the pool side while the kids swam. Our family is very grateful for the hospitality at a very stressful time.”

• The location was very convenient due to closeness to Highway.
• The parking lot noise could be heard some at night.

“I would stay at this hotel again. It was an ideal location next to the highway. The hotel is older but the room was clean and had been updated.”

• Great amenities for the price, very homey feeling.
• No room maintenance for a 3 day stay.

“Great value for the money. Breakfast was pretty fair, waffles very good! Would like cranberry juice in the machine. Room was very clean. Electrical problem though, lamps and elect, sockets did not all work, the fridge was not plugged in but worked just fine when I plugged it up. Very good location for UNT visit.”

“I would not recommend this hotel to any one. The doors to each room led outside. I feel the security is not as good because your door is exposed to anyone. The location is good. And the parking is good.”

• Bathroom was clean but had no water pressure.

“Hotel was clean and good for a single or business traveler. Breakfast was not much to be had. Room clean maids services was good, only negative was water pressure to low and management would not fix problem.”

• The staff was helpful and friendly. They were able to get me a nonsmoking room.
• It's a 2 star. But I wish they had nicer comforters.

“I thought it was great and served its purpose. The staff was friendlier than the Holliday Inn in Denton. And it was WAY quieter! I just needed a place for one night.”

• Efficient hotel with convenient location.
• Breakfast area for continental breakfast was limited.

“Efficient hotel with average hotel rooms. Breakfast area was very small and crowded but not a big deal. Mattresses were too soft for my liking. But for a one night stay, was very acceptable. Great location - just a mile or so from the north 35 split into 35E and 35W so you can easily get back to whatever route you are taking.”

“When I checked in at this hotel, my contact and credit card information in the computer was not correct and I had to change rooms twice because they gave me rooms that were marked as cleaned but actually were not. The bathtub did not drain well and the water pressure was pathetic; although I requested maintenance fix this, as far as I can tell they never did. However, the staff was very friendly. My experience was not horrible, but I probably would stay elsewhere if I am ever in Denton again.”

• It was conveniently close to UNT and easy to find.
• Bed was a bit hard, really loud heater.

“The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably clean. There were no stains on linens, floor, walls, etc. There was a little mold on the shower floor, but less than at my apartment back home. Not many TV stations, no stationary, and no mini-fridge. Did have free bottle of water and Oreo cookies. Overall, it would have been great if I had remembered my earplugs. The heater was pretty loud each time it started up during the night and a diesel engine started outside around 5 a.m. Luckily the thick curtain did block most of the sunlight, so I was able to sleep in.”

• The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was extremely helpful.

“I was given a room over-looking the pool, which I really enjoyed. I was able rent a movie in the room which was nice. The breakfast bar was well supplied and the entire staff from house-keeping to desk clerk was very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.”

• The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean.
• It met my needs so nothing to say otherwise.

“I had read reviews on the hotel that weren't so great. Overall, I like La Quinta and have preferred to stay at La Quinta's in the past. I was a little hesitant based on the reviews though. The location was one exit from where I needed to be and access to and from was easy. I was very happy with my stay and I plan to stay there again.”

• On Sat., 3/24/2007, left motel ( to eat lunch) returned, only to be locked out, room not made up, lost Sat. night reservations, it was a mess!

• The staff tried to fix everything that went wrong, although most of it didn't get fixed!
• We were in a smoking room, had no hot water Sunday morning, the TV remote wouldn't work.

“We have stayed at La Quintas many times, including the Denton location, and always had enjoyable experiences. It must have been bad luck that so much was wrong with our room the very first time. I was surprised that they couldn't change our room to a non-smoking one without substantially raising the rent!”

• It was fairly priced, and the room was clean.
• We found a large cockroach in our room.

“We were generally pleased with our stay. The only negative comment we would make is that we found a large cockroach in our room. I reported it to the desk clerk and she apologized, however I was disappointed that the manager did not address the issue with us. Otherwise the hotel met our expectations.”

“The La Quinta in Denton was very close to a major highway, and thus was very loud. Our room had a very musty, smoky smell, and the air conditioner was very loud. There was a stain on the bedspread and the faucet leaked. The doors to the rooms are on the outside. The continental breakfast was satisfactory.”

• Night front desk clerk - totally unresponsive to needs.

“Over all hotels was typical La Quinta. Shower only - no bath available as could not switch from shower to tub - my wife got her hair wet when she went to turn on water for a bath. Party next door Sunday night - about 10 businesses me - from 11:45 - 1:30 drinking, loud voices, knock on door - loud conversations outside our first floor window. Called clerk 5 times - over 2 hours - no response to calls. Called front desk, called reservations, called outside public number - no answer. Also - no liners in trash cans and it was kind of gross. Also bath floor not rinsed after mopped - irritating to wet feet from shower and made shoes leave marks on floor - (been in hotel business for several years and 18 years in hospital environmental services. but - day staff was wonderful and very polite.”

• Failed to give me a wake up call - when I addressed it, the morning staff was indifferent.

“Upon check in, the lady was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel failed to give me a wake up call but I think that was poor staffing because the morning receptionist was very indifferent with me when I told them they forgot to wake me. She was too busy talking to a coworker.”

• The desk clerk went out of his way to help us and actually brought us what we needed.
• The building is not super updated, but unless they tear down and start over, that can't be helped.

“I was staying here to give my daughter one more night rest after her operation before we returned home. Upon learning that I was along with a teenager who couldn't get around very well, the gentleman at the front desk brought us the linens we needed to our room and was very friendly and accommodating. Also, the beds were very comfortable and we couldn't hear the people in the rooms next to us at all.”

• Very close to I-35.
• Toilet was plugged up and could not get plunger until 7am.

“Location was great, had a little diner next to it. Parking lot was full of construction trucks, We were upgraded to a king room for free, however it was a handicapped room. The ADA would be appalled if the came here and inspected. Not sure how La Quinta gets $90.00 a night. Good thing I only paid $45.00 for it. ”

• Front office is under repair. Hard to get in and out of driveway.

• It was very accessible to both the expressway & my Denton destination.
• Not your fault, but the construction was a small challenge.

• Clerk knew who I was before I checked in, great comp breakfast.
• Had a top floor room no elevator.

“The check in and out was very easy. The clerk knew my name before I even registered. Of course I arrived very late and was probably the last guest to check in for the night.. But never the less it was a nice gesture. The room was nice and clean and the complimentary breakfast had a nice selection.”

• Disgusting.
• I left due to cricket infestation, toxic mold growing on ceiling, and filthy bathroom conditions. Attempted email to you returned.

“I did not want to pay -- left after getting there in the middle of the night with no refund (my card was a debit card that I used to book the hotel), and I did not have enough money in my account to stay anywhere. I tried to send an email to you for a refund and to let you know that the place needs to be shut down by the Board of Health. Again, there were crickets leaping around the room, mating in corners, visible mold on ceiling, filthy bathroom. I have pictures on my phone camera of all of this for verification if necessary. This was the worst experience I have had in my life.”
