• Paying for parking.

“Very nice, clean. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful-told them my husband was a photographer and they gave us a room with a great view. Made my husband’s weekend.”

“The front desk staff was very friendly and very considerate. Housekeeping could use some work. I did not have my DND sign up and they knocked on my door when I did not respond quick enough they tried to enter my room but the dead bolt was secured. At that point they should have left but she continued to knock, when I answered the door she asked me when we would be out of our room. We were checking out that day and it made me feel rushed, it was only 9:00 no where near check out time. I thought it was rude.”

• The room was very small.

“The first room was very nice and roomy, but it had a bad smell of sewer, they gave us a different room. It was very small and the TV was on a side wall you had to lay crowdies on the bed to watch TV. The location was excellent in downtown Ft. Worth and there was quite a bit to do there.”

• Excellent valet parking in the hotel, superb location, useful lobby.
• Terrible telephone help. Mediocre front desk.

“Old meets new. This Courtyard hotel is the 82 year old Blackstone Hotel, and sits right on Main street. The only trick is entering: From Commerce St, turn west on 6th St toward Main St, and enter the valet parking garage from the south. The hotel is on the NE corner of 6th and Main. This is important to know, because the lady answering the phone at the front desk didn't know that. Valet parking was swift, courteous, and should be mandatory. Check-in was virtually instantaneous. We were asked what we were there for, and when we told them that we were there for the arts festival, they gave us a room overlooking the Main Street festival. Good coffees and teas in the lobby along with internet access. The rooftop pool was a bit small, but good for a dip. It did not seem "heated" as was proclaimed. The hot tub whirlpool in the workout area was excellent, and the workout room was good. The bakery downstairs is superb, and shouldn't be missed. Restaurants worth eating at: Mi Cocina and Daddy Jack's. Both nearby. The memory foam mattress originally felt too soft, but gave use each a great night's sleep. Altogether a lovely experience.”

• The location was great. Lots to do in walking distance.
• The room smelled like smoke.

“The experience overall was okay. The elevator parking is a little aggravating and the room smelled like smoke even though the hotel claims to be 100% smoke-free. But the staff was nice and helpful, the bed was comfy, and the location is right next to the square.”

“Nice hotel close to everything downtown but way over priced could have stayed in luxury 4 same cost charged 10 dollars to park was ridiculous.”

• Location, cleanliness, friendly and professional staff.
• No in-hotel restaurant; only breakfast café.

“We reserved a terrace room and we loved it. From the 16th floor you could see all of downtown ft. Worth and beyond--especially lovely at night, and we enjoyed our dinner (which we brought in from chili's across the street) at our table on the terrace. Who knew downtown ft. Worth had so much going for it? ”

• It was very clean.
• The air condition unit was very loud and we could not sleep.

• Location was great!. If you really want to see downtown Ft. Worth at night on a weekend this is the place to stay. Quiet rooms.
• There was nothing I did not like.

“The Blackstone Marriott was recently renovated and the room was very welcoming. We enjoyed being downtown. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to see downtown Fort Worth at night on a weekend.”

• Very nice hotel, Super nice staff from the desk clerk to the parking attendants!! Highly recommend!
• The hot tub/spa was closed for repair, disappointing my daughter.

“I travel often during the cheer and dance season, and it is very hard sometimes to find excellent quality, location, and staff at an affordable rate! I enjoyed my stay very much, and my daughter did as well. We will be back!”

• Not a thing.

“The staff was warm and welcoming. We had a great view of Sundae Square. And we really didn't have any problems getting around. Can't wait to stay another night with them.”

• shampoo bottles difficult to get product out of

“Nicely decorated, comfortable rooms with nice bedding at 1/3rd the price of the Ashton Hotel 1 block away. Being able to walk to a wide variety of dining and entertainment options is a treat.”

• Very Close to Bass Hall, Great Price, very Clean nice employees!.
• Small rooms.

“Great hotel for a short trip if you will not be staying in the room for long periods, my room was very nice but small. Otherwise it was a wonderful place to stay! Next door to Bass Hall and of course walking distance to Sundance Square!.”

• Delightful location within easy walking distance of fun places to eat. Clean and fresh.
• Plan on a $10 parking fee. Allow time for your car to be retrieved when leaving. Not easy to get in and out fast.

• Valet parking, printed driving directions to nearby attractions, great location to all the downtown Fort Worth activities.
• Needed more large size bath towels.

• The arrangement of the room was very nice.
• When opening the room to the bathroom, I would bump my husband if he was at the sink.

“When we first arrived, the valet gave us the information needed to retrieve our car upon checking out. The receptionist was expecting us and presented us with our key cards. Everything was neat and clean. I especially appreciated the bowl of fruit at the receptionists area. We had a very nice time and enjoyed our stay.”

• Wonderfully affordable for an historic hotel.
• Parking is $10 a day.

“Great location in the middle of downtown Fort Worth. We were able to walk to a variety of restaurants, and even found a western art museum only a couple of blocks away. Historic ambience with modern amenities. Staff was friendly. Our room felt spacious, even with two children along.”

• The location was right on the money.

“The Marriott is located in a historic building in downtown Ft Worth. Marriott has done a great job of remodeling. The location is right in the heart of the restaurants, theater and shops. The staff were Texas-friendly and took care of us well. I recommend the Marriott/Blackstone (and yes, Blackstone Vineyard is their house wine!) to anyone wanting a relaxing evening on the town in downtown Ft Worth.”

“The hotel has pleasant architecture, reasonable amenities, and an interesting history. However, our room was not serviced while we were out for the day. When brought to the front desk's attention, the clerk was rather flippant about it. She asked, "Well, do you NEED anything in particular?" "Linens," we responded. She managed to forget about the linens and we had to ask for them AGAIN after dinner.”
