• Great location - we watched a baseball game from our room!

“As we checked in a soldier returning from Irag was checking in. He was on his way home to Denver and laid over in Wichita. The Hyatt gave him an upgrade and a free meal. I would stay here again just for the simple fact that little extra kindness was shown. Good for you Wichita, Hyatt.”

“Customer service at this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff was totally responsive to our questions and needs from my first call to request a "room with a view" through checkout. Our visit was to celebrate my nine year old granddaughter's birthday and staff at The Hyatt did so many unexpected and special things to make our stay special for her.”

• It was really beautiful and the bed was wonderful.

“Because of flight delays, I arrived at 2:30 am to the hotel. The attendant was so sweet and gave me a breakfast coupon. The bed was so wonderful I almost slept through my 7:30 am meeting. Loved it!”

• Hotel was convenient to the garden show we were attending and the view of the river was great.
• Nothing.

“We were traveling with my 80+ year old parents and the hotel met all our needs. The only negative was the dining room, which had high prices for not very good food. The staff in the dining room was very friendly.”

“Excellent staff, very friendly, rooms were super clean, and quiet. The café in the hotel was somewhat higher priced, and wasn't the normal menu you'd expect (dinner menu had rubbed pork shoulder, Cornish game hen, and that type). I did ask the server if they had a normal menu (burgers/steaks/etc), and she gave me the lunch menu whereas I ate a BBQ pork sandwich, homemade potato chips, and strawberry cobbler that was awesome.”

• The lobby was beautiful!
• The shampoo & conditioner was a horrible scent, and the quality was lower than I expected for this hotel.

“This beautiful hotel is conveniently located in the center of Wichita on the river. Has all of the ammenities for family such as dining, swimming pool, fitness center, bar, etc. Close to performing arts center, ice skating, shopping, and more.”

• Beautiful immaculate hotel. Easy on/off freeway.
• Did not like construction in progress of restaurant.

• The room was very stylish and attractive for our romantic 4th anniversary trip! Loved that there were lots of pillows!
• Not having an enclosed walkway to the self-parking garage. It was very rainy when we arrived and rain blew on us in the short covered walkway.

“We had a king sized bed on the business floor- 18th floor. The room was decorated so well, we had about 10 pillows on the bed and no noise problems from other guests at all! This was a very comfortable place to stay and just romantic enough for our 4th anniversary! We had some recommendations by friends on some restaurants. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful in providing maps and directions to just the places we wanted to go. The staff is very courteous, professional, and kind. They've made some excellent hiring and training choices!”

“I'd expect to find this quality of accommodations only in a much larger city. I took the time to fill-out the survey in appreciation of the staff efforts. I wish the same quality could be found in London, U.K.”

• Improved ambiance, great view. soft beds.
• Inaccessible internet, cable TV was lacking, movie rental was overpriced.

“The hotel staff was friendly and the improved ambiance was nice - great view, soft beds, lots of pillows. The flat panel TV was cool, just wish there was actually something to watch on it since there weren't very many channels and the movie rentals were on the pricey side, but I guess an upscale hotel expects their patrons to pay more for practically everything anyway. Wireless internet was not free and wired internet was not functional. It was a very nice hotel, but I was honestly a bit under whelmed.”

• Close to Via Christi Hospital.
• AC didn't work well and a lot of noise in the halls late in evening.

“Always thought the Hyatt would be the Best! No AC was working properly, didn't notice until about 2-3am and didn't ask for another room. Restaurant service wasn't good at Leathers. Had trouble getting anyone to wait on us. Also $12.00 to park your car. Parking should be free. This isn't a 5 star hotel, would rate a 2 maybe 2 1/2.”

• The rooms were not well insulated from sound next door -- I was awakened early by their noise.

“Nice hotel -- Need to insulate between the rooms. Parking ($8) should be included and not extra.”

“Parking is additional (only $8) but it is an additional charge. This Hyatt has coffee makers. loved that. Bit of a walk to garage, but it is a covered walk way and they have valet if you prefer.”

• The parking lot across the street.
• The fact that once construction is complete in the adjacent building you will pretty much be forced to pay $8-$12 to park.

“We were very pleased with this hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Kids enjoyed the waterfall and being next to the Riverwalk in Wichita, KS. We would definitely stay here again.”

• I thought that everything about the staff and the room was great.
• I got sick from the fish that I ate in the restaurant.

“This was a great stay and the staff was great. Could not ask any more from the Hotel. On the other hand the food could have been prepared and or stored in such a manner that I would not have been sick from the fish.”

• The lobby area was very nice and the people were friendly.
• I was expecting the rooms to be a little nicer and I was disappointed that you were not able to pick if you wanted a two double or a king.

• That it has a hot tub and the lobby looks elegant.
• The hot tub could have had about 6 inches more water in it. The don't have Nickelodeon.

“The Hyatt in Wichita is beautiful, centrally located in the downtown business district and is conveniently close to Century II, the museums, and the library. It has a great pool/hot tub area with a beautiful view of the river walk. Staff is friendly and the rooms are nice.”

• It was a non smoking room. There are many smokers in the world.

“Very nice, the only complaint I have is I could not get a smoking room. Had to keep running outside to smoke. Other than that small inconvenience we had a great time and plan on using many more times in the future when planning trips.”

• Too much hallway noise from other guests. Very noisy, has been that way before too.

“Great place to stay overall. The staff was very nice and very helpful. My only complaint was the high level of outside noise from the hallways that kept my family up all night both nights we were there. This has been my only complaint with this hotel and it has been an issue every time we have stayed here.”

• Very good condition. Very good location and view. Has been refurbished even thought only 10 years old.
• Parking garage ticket dispenser and gate did not work properly.

“Like new. Very clean. Good beds. Nicer than usual toiletries, shampoo, soap, etc. Nice thick towels. Flat screen TV. Clean carpet. Could not say enough great things about this.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was beautiful and the room was small but very nice. The hotel is in a great location downtown but also very easy to find from the Interstates. I have heard that this is the nicest place to stay in Wichita and I believe that's the case. My only complaint is the overpriced breakfast buffet. The food was terrible. Service was excellent, though!”

• The beds were extra comfortable and clean; workout room was top of the line and roomy; beautiful river view.
• Paying for internet and local calls, cost of items at the coffee bar and refrigerated items.

“We enjoyed this hotel on the river, it was a beautiful view. The beds were so cozy and roomy. We loved the plentiful pillows. We didn't swim but noticed that the pool was larger than most and inviting. Excellent exercise room. However, there were very noisy neighbors all night long. They kept their TV on loud all night. This was frustrating. Also, you shouldn't have to pay for a local call or internet at a hotel of this quality. The coffee bar items were overpriced and I had to pay 50 cents for a little thing of cream cheese for my bagel! Ridiculous. Overall, we had a nice experience.”

• The cigar bar was a nice amenity for a smoking guy staying with family in a non-smoking room.
• The parking garage was a nightmare.

“The hotel was easy to find, check-in went smoothly, but keys didn't admit us to the parking garage, we couldn't get the elevator to work (no one told us the elevator required room keys to select a floor). Fifteen minutes of hassle with the elevator and the parking garage put a damper on the whole experience.”

• Cleanliness of the rooms, corridors, lobby, restaurant was outstanding.
• Special requests were not honored but staff ensured I was a satisfied customer.

“I called the hotel directly in advance to request a non-smoking king room. The non-smoking request was honored. The front desk receptionist asked if we would be dining that evening yet or breakfast in the morning. I was given a voucher for 2 free buffet breakfasts to compensate for the unavailable King room.”

• They met every need we had including ice packs for a sprained ankle.
• The double room had full beds instead of queen.

“The staff was amazing. No matter what we requested of the staff, they went above and beyond anything we had expected. We were traveling to visit an ill relative in the hospital. The staff knew this and managed to make my children feel as if they were on a mini-vacation.”

• The valet service was excellent & the men that worked the valet service were very helpful. The room key to work the elevator was a huge plus!
• That men seemed to be treated better than women.

“When my mother & I experienced a poor night because of the room next door, we were comped w/a free breakfast of cold cereal & oatmeal. Men that also had a bad night for whatever reason were given a full breakfast!”
