• Clean and in a nice area with shops etc.
• No affect on us however; there is no elevator (handicapped etc)

• The front desk staff was very helpful.
• The loud bunch of kids that woke me up at 2:10 AM.

“Overall, good stay, the loud people that woke me up weren't a reflection of the hotel. Maybe make them sleep in an out-building and
barn if you can find them through screening. I liked the hotel otherwise. I've stayed at much worse, but probably not for the same money. Beats a Motel 6 any day.”

• It was close to the location of a funeral I attended.
• Glasses and cups in room were not in sealed paper or plastic.

“Clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable but I felt the pillow cases were extremely wrinkled and it made me wonder if they had been changed. They put about 5 pillows on each bed.”

• Quiet room, good AC unit, great blackout curtains for daytime nap.
• I sat in lobby to read paper - staff cleaned with a squeaking floor sweeper, very irritating.

“Hotel has a great location for restaurants, shopping, cultural events. Grounds were clean, well maintained. I will stay there again. I do wish they provided breakfast.”

• Convenient to the interstate.
• Bed was dirty upon arrival.

“We had 10 nights stays and checked out early. The staff was friendly. However, upon our arrival, the bed was dirty. We could deal with that. This hotel is not a family friendly. Also, there is no shopping in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and very few choices if you're hungry.”

• Courteous and friendly staff.
• I requested two double beds and was given a king with sofa.

“This is a moderate hotel. Meets your needs but not luxury. The hotel was clean and safe and located close to the zoo and botanical gardens. Especially great Japanese garden. The staff was friendly and helpful.”

• Great customer service - 2 times (clock replacement; bicycle phone numbers.
• One of the cleaning people was fantastic; the others just okay.

“This hotel sits across the street from the lake a lovely place to walk. The rooms are quiet and the pool/outside area are relaxing. The staff is always friendly. Good place to stay!”

• Too Expensive for quality level. Bad service; no remote in room, coffee supplies not replenished for second day, charge $0.50 for local calls, no WiFi.

“Too much money for too little service and attention to detail. No remote for TV in room, in room coffee supplies were not replenished from one day to the next. No wireless internet access as advertised nationally. Seemed very money hungry for the level of service provided.”

• Had a bit of a run-down feel and theft signs.

“Courtyard is one of my favorite places to stay when traveling the country. The beds are the high point, but the staff is friendly and everything is in working order. I found this particular hotel to be a bit out-dated and was put off by the many 'theft' signs in the parking lot and on most doors. The room had not been cleaned (with food on the floor and used soap in the bath).”

• I loved the location--right by the river and had great walking paths and close to shopping and restaurants.
• The small TV--it was super bowl and it seemed small.

• Furnishing design.
• Not Downtown.

“The courtyard brand has continually impressed me every time we happen to cross paths, and this location was no different. It is the simpler style of courtyard, not as fancy as their Downtown versions, but also much better on price. This location provides a reliable, clean, and generally pleasant stay without over the top bells and whistles. However, the furnishing and general design of the rooms once again impressed us far above the level of a simple hotel stay. The hotel staff did their best to provide information about the local area when asked, but did not always have correct information. However, there is also a computer to use in the lobby to double-check online. Great location for visiting the zoo, and not too distant from the museum district as well. The #7 bus will take you there and to Downtown as well, if you would like. (But car travel is certainly much easier in this part of town) overall, it was a pleasant stay and highly recommended.”

“Sub par hotel with less than average accommodations and the worst Marriott Ive stayed at. Charging $9 for breakfast was beyond ridiculous. I will never stay at this hotel again when I travel to fort worth.”

• No one was in the pool when I used it every morning.
• It was not downtown.

“The room was small and pricey and I got a discount. We overlooked the carwash but we were not there for the view anyway. The desk help were very friendly and efficient. On our last full day there it was emotional for my family. We were in and out of the room all day. Housekeeping must have thought we didn't want the room made up and left us alone. When I went to the desk by 4-5:00 in the afternoon inquiring about getting the room done, the front desk called the gal on our floor. First she said she did the room then she became very frustrated and said she would go do it immediately. I was sorry to have heard the exchange between the desk and housekeeping. I always tip on my last day. The $20 that was hers, I kept as a result of the conversation between them.”

• A staff member recommended a good restaurant around the corner.
• A staff member was rude when I asked about adding my stay to my Rewards program.

“The hotel was in a bad part of town and hard to find. It was dilapidated and old. The bed was hard and the room was dingy. There was hair on the bathroom floor and the bathroom appeared generally unclean. Everything about the hotel was outdated.”

• Great location, right by the river, can go job in the am. across the street from the zoo.
• The towels were horrible. Small and shrunk, got better towels 2nd day.

“The hotel was perfectly adequate. The most important thing for me was the location, and this hotel is in a great location in Fort Worth. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The towels were really bad the 1st night, torn and shrunken. The second day, the towels were much better. Overall, the hotel was clean and pleasant.”

• Pretty magnolia tree outside room!
• Bathroom had hair on floor, in tub and around sink. Disgusting!

“It's hard to believe that this hotel is owned by the Marriott chain? I've stayed in many and this one was the worst. Uncomfortable bed, loud a/c that did not work well, and dirty bathroom. This one only deserves a 1-star.”

• It had a restaurant close by.
• I do not like the location.

“They did not supply any shampoo. I have never stayed at a hotel that didn't supply shampoo. It was not in the downtown area. The train track is next to it and if you get on the wrong side, the trains will wake you up. I requested a room on the other side to avoid this. I still could hear them on occasion. ”

• In front of the hotel was the Trinity River park and walkway.
• The breakfast was not complimentary and expensive.

“If you want to be in a great neighborhood with restaurants, shopping, and a park, you'll like this place. Surroundings are very upscale. It is convenient to zoo, park, university, and you can easily reach downtown Ft Worth, the museum district, or the Stock Yards from this hotel's location.”

• There was nothing to like.
• The hotel was a dump, not even a hair dryer, under construction, cheap hotel.

“First off, there was no elevator to the second floor, door from outside would not open with pass key, under construction in hallways, rude people, not even a hair dryer in room. The room was filthy. I could have stayed at motel 8 and had better accommodations. ”

• Front desk knowledge of the arts and cultural options.
• Our first room had a lock which didn't work, we had to wait until second night to get our desired room type. Trains could be noisy.

“A very nice property in a very convenient location for access to recreation trails, golf, botanic gardens, museums, and Stockyards. Near to downtown, but within walking distance of the Cultural District and the river trails. Trains can be a bit noisy on one side of the building.”

• The expensive breakfast looked good from a distance.
• The family had bed bug bites - all of us.

“Terrible!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The location was bad for coming on the train and we all have bed bug bite sores to deal with. Never again!!”

• Security was marginal, multiple access doors that are poorly secured, I was approached twice in parking lot and aggressively solicited for $$...

“marginal security at the hotel in an area that appears to have a number of street beggars. I am concerned that these individuals are free to enter the hotel through the poorly secured side & rear entrances. I will not stay at this hotel again.”

• Convenient to event I went to Dallas to attend
• No elevator and room was on second floor. Staff helped carry things upstairs which was nice.

“This hotel is very typical Courtyard. Nothing special. Parking isn't very good. No elevator would be a major problem for older guests or guests with small children. ”

“The usual cookie-cutter Marriott Courtyard. This was sold as Fort Worth downtown. The area is probably difficult to classify but it is not downtown.”
