• Convenient close to track (NASCAR race). Easily accessible. Nicer than where we normally stay.
• Bath tub didn't drain properly. Notified front desk. Problem wasn't resolved.

“For the price we paid & for our purpose (NASCAR race) this was a great hotel. It was convenient, reasonably clean, & moderately priced. It wasn't exactly a 4 star hotel, but then we didn't pay for one either.”

• Rooms were not serviced well also old and needed remodeling.

“The location was excellent for our conference purposes, and while the pricing was reasonable, the room service was poor. It seemed to be a place that had moved past its prime and was not being updated.”

• If I had my family with me I would have stayed there.
• The room smelled musty like it needed air freshener.

“Everything was fine not any problems. The bedspread had a cigarette hole in it. And as I said above it smelled musty or like maybe someone had smoked in there before.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• Could use a little remodeling.

“When we first arrived, we were given a room that hadn't yet been cleaned (there was a used towel on the bed and the sink still had whiskers and obviously hadn't been cleaned) so we called the front desk. They immediately sent up a staff person who brought us another key card to a clean room. The staff was very helpful (bringing up 2 extra pillows). The hotel is not new but with a little sprucing up, it can be very nice.”

• Location and comfort. Friendly staff.
• Internet service was down for our entire stay.

“We had a group of three for and educational seminar. The hotel offered excellent location for very reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly and helpful; however they were unable to do anything about the internet problem since that was provided by an outside contractor. All in all I will consider the hotel for next years seminar but hope the internet works so I have no interruptions to my business.”

• This hotel should be rated a 1-Star because of its low quality. Please downgrade it from its current 2-Star rating.

“I had to request a change of room from the first I was given because the door to the connecting room was off its hinges. The door to the bathroom was also a struggle to close. There was even hair on the toilet. This alone made me doubt if anything in this room has been cleaned at all. I received another room but my opinion of this hotel had already been sealed. I supposed I should have realized of the things to come when I saw the duct tape on the phone at the front desk during check in. Please downgrade this hotel to a 1-Star rating.”

• Problem was very well addressed by management and staff.
• Need to have an overall inspection of all rooms some cant afford the 100+ rooms.

“We just spent 4 days at the Green Oaks and were disappointed from the time I entered the lobby. The rooms on 342 side were dirty, linen were stained, pillows had blood like stains on them, floors and carpet had not been cleaned, cob-web were on top of cob-webs, coffee maker had grounds caked in the bottom, window seals were enough dirt to fill a cup if cleaned, and refrigerator had a terrible smell. Other rooms; people were locked in bathroom with the door sticking, some front doors wouldn't lock, some no air. Terrible. Then I call to complain and got the manager (1st day on the job) who took very good care of the situation. We were all moved to better locations on the grounds. Our room was just great. Thanks and hope this will allow you to make the necessary changes.”

• It was close to downtown, the beds were comfortable.
• Almost everything. Very dirty, the employees seemed in a hurry and not very friendly.

• Check-in was handled well.
• The room was not clean in the bathroom area.

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning people were not detailed enough. I had hair from previous occupants on the bathroom floor and bath tub, no hand towels and the coffee and toilet tissue was not replaced the next day. Air conditioning was old and week. Probably a good thing I spent most of my time somewhere besides the room.”

• It's location to major roads, shopping and restaurants were very good. Overall the hotel was quiet, parking was easy.
• The room was dirty, needed a thorough cleaning. It was also old and could use some update of walls, floor, carpet, venting.

“Simply, if the room was much cleaner, I would rate this very good hotel.”

“I would not stay at this hotel again. The staff seemed nice but the hotel is just old. It was not worth the money.”

• This hotel was once a very nice, well kept motel.
• Rooms outdated & ill maintained for over a decade. Major roof leak in lobby with buckets under it.

“It is in major disrepair and is a ghetto type motel.”

• Very little. I can tell at one time this was a nice place.
• Too much.

“This place has too many problems to deserve a 2 star rating. Most important is the lack of an ability to control thermostat. Construction trailers take up prime parking places, leaving others to park farther away. Noise from "residents" in the morning was troubling. There was also difficulty checking in as well. ”

• Rustic, lodge setting.
• Carpet was very dirty. Blanket on bed dirty. Ice machine did not work. Ice available at the restaurant two buildings away.

• Hot room; bugs in bed; mold in fridge; needs refurbishing.

• Lots of amenities like swimming pool and tennis courts.
• They woke me up twice during the night. Once because I rented a movie and they did not have my credit card and once because of a leak next door to us.

“I do not like hotels where the exit to your room goes straight into the parking lot, I prefer indoor corridors. This hotel was a little scary. The rooms were ok, had been recently remodeled, but the overall look and feel of the hotel in general was old and run down. It wasn't as nice as other 1 star hotels I have stayed in. And it was noisy and hard to sleep there.”

• Enjoyed the sophistication yet laid back feeling.
• The King size bed was on two twin frames and would raise up if you sat on the end of the bed.

“The hotel is very friendly, very clean, however there are some small repairs in the room that need attention as well as some exterior wood work that needs attention. It is located close to shopping, restaurants (West End Diner on West Bowie is great!) there are several others in that area as well. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, they allowed me to park my motorcycle right in front of the lobby window every night so that the security guard could keep watch over it. They have two outdoor pools, I would stay here again if given the opportunity, and would recommend it to friends.”

• Location and the lobby was beautiful.
• Carpet in room was VERY dirty and smelled, pools not open.

“Check in and out very smooth and friendly people, but the pools were not open, lots of men standing around the parking lot at all hours (living quarters at hotel?), room carpet was very dirty and smelled bad, but rest of room was very clean.”

• Hotel staff was exceptional. Furnishings new or in excellent shape. High speed internet.
• Hotel getting old. I was in my third room to not have a leaking faucet and to get internet service only to find my phone didn't work.

“Good hotel except it is slowly deteriorating. Quiet and staff is very pleasant and accommodating.”

• Easy access to interstate and close to Sundance Square.
• It is in need of updates. The suite was clean but very dated. Also, the TV was not viewable from bed.

“The hotel was easy to find and nearby to Sundance Square. The staff was friendly, however, the amenities are dated and quite worn. ”

• Old and musty, few power outlets, no internet access.

“Location was good. The rooms looked and smelled old, there were almost no available power outlets and no internet access, which is unacceptable these days. The television didn't work properly, there were a few silver fish in the bathroom and the shampoo and soap looked as if they hadn't been changed in 10 years. It wasn't the worst place I've stayed, but considering the hotel's location and general size, I was expecting something better.”
