Lisa from Wichita Falls, TX
“This hotel was being remodeled, but our room was completely unfinished despite having the entire new decor. The tile work in bathroom was shoddy, there was a board where a picture should have been, the elevators were small, with scratched wood and were dirty, and the hallways were filled with clutter and were dirty. The whole place just felt dirty! The staff was VERY nice, but I would NEVER stay here again.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Linda from Sandy, UT
“Friendly staff who quickly assigned a room. The hotel had excellent soft bedding without the hot down duvet that most hotels provide. The first room had wave sounds coming from the alarm when we walked in the room. It was very calming. The second time we stayed at the hotel the room's alarm did not have nature sounds and we were a little disappointed. Hotel is renovating but it did not disrupt our weekend stay.” Aug 19, 2008 by
Paul from Huachuca City, AZ
“The Crowne Plaza hotel was under renovation while we were there August 10-16th 2008. The room we had was on the 7th floor. The room itself was nicely decorated and furnishings were comfortable, however the air conditioning in the room was inadequate to say the least. Also a minor thing but not the less important to us was that the coffee maker didn't work. When a replacement coffee maker was brought up, it too didn't work. Needless to say someone at the hotel was not checking things properly. The location of the property is central to the city and convenient.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Laura from Elk City, OK
“Overall satisfying with a few things being unsatisfactory.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Janice from Holdrege, NE
“We didn't had any toilet paper, we had to call for sheets for the make out bed and they were very slow. It was being renovated and not the cleanest or the quietest. The first room we had the door was open and lights were on when we went in. It was an okay experience. It was definitely only a 2 star to 2.5 hotel.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Don from Burleson, TX
“Terrible. Coffee grounds from previous guest left in dirty coffee pot; short in light beside bed; TV buzz; hallways and elevators disgustingly dirty.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Katherine from Tulsa, OK
“Although I am sure that generally the hotel is very nice I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. It is currently undergoing construction and the lobby and bar area were not very cool.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Tom from Enid, OK
“We've stayed here before. The staff is very friendly and welcomes you as an honored guest. The property is currently being remodeled so you have to put up with minor inconveniences. This hotel is placed in the same category as Holiday Inn but it exceeds Holiday Inn in almost any criteria.” Aug 13, 2008 by
April from Quinton, OK
“The room was nice, but there were no bath towels or blankets. Had to request 3 times and then walk to retrieve them. They were remodeling, which I understood the mess in the halls and around hotel.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Matt from Owasso, OK
“This Crowne Plaza (OKC) is currently under renovation and is in need of it! This is an old hotel and they're going to have to sink a ton of money in it to come up to even a Hampton-Inn style hotel. My room's bathroom sink had a substantial leak and would soak the carpet. The drywall behind the leak was falling off the wall. I'd be surprised if I were the first person to ever tell them about this. Also the toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. This place was EXTREMELY disappointing.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Karen from Weatherford, OK
“Very clean and comfortable. Good place to stay is hanging around Oklahoma City for a few days.” Aug 6, 2008 by
Gregory from Dallas, TX
“Nice but elevator wasn't working. AC didn't cool down enough. The AC didn't work on several floors and didn't cool the room down at all. Only seem to blow air and not cool air Pool lights break and had exposed wires. The maintenance didn't think it was too important to come to see about that problem. There were children who were wanting to get in the pool. If there were wires exposed then it would be more of a problem. The elevators were usually small and only one working.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Dene from Grand Prairie, TX
“They were under construction, so air conditioning was inadequate, only one very small elevator was in service causing 20 minute trips to car. Pool was unavailable due to electric hazard from construction. End result was most of the extras that caused me to choose this hotel were not available to me on this stay.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Aaron from Yukon, OK
“Until was under renovation and was a complete disaster. Room didn't have alarm clock, trash can or mirror in room. Request for said items to the front desk went unanswered. Only one elevator worked causing incredible wait times to get to and from the room. Room was coated in a layer of dust from construction activities. Hallways were covered in dust, drywall and paint scraps. No where close to the same caliber hotel. Overall, a horrible experience.” Aug 4, 2008 by
J from Mclean, TX
“Although I realized that this hotel was under some remodeling, it was still not in any way shape or form, the equivalent to that of a 3 star hotel. The room I stayed in was half-way remodeled. The staff would not accommodate me with a king size bed, and it was not overrun with people in any way the night I stayed. There was debris everywhere, especially in the elevators and not once did I see them vacuumed out. The morning after I awoke, not more than 10 minutes after I got out of bed, I heard a crash and to my surprise, there was a huge picture that was hung over the bed that fell, right where I would have been sleeping. They were using power tools in the room next door that had vibrated it off the walls. When I had told the staff at the desk about it, they said 'I'm sorry about that', but didn't ask any other questions or seem concerned at all. The phone didn't work at all. There was no dial tone. When I arrived on Sat. afternoon around 3:30 PM, the room next to mine had 2 wine glasses in the hallway and when I left the next day at noon, they were still there! Remodeling is ok but there is no excuse for filth! You should check it out for yourself!” Aug 3, 2008 by
Jason from Poteau, OK
“I liked this hotel and it's location. We had stayed there before and were impressed and decided to stay again. However, during our last stay they were remodeling and there is no service elevator, so the workmen kept the elevators tied up during the day. At one point my family and I had to take the stairs seven floors to leave the hotel. I'm sure this is only temporary. But, it was a pain.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Mark from Little Elm, TX
“There is construction going on and they are using the public elevators to bring stuff up & down. I was returning to my room on the 7th floor from the lobby but had to wait 5 minutes while someone that looked in charge talked to a construction worker and held the elevator door open until he finished his conversation. The air conditioner did not work on automatic so the fan had to run the entire night and would not ever shut off. Even if the hotel was not going through construction, I would not stay at this hotel because of the staff.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Wayne from Mcalester, OK
“The strength of this hotel is its location: close to good restaurants, good shopping, at a key intersection and not far from the freeways. Another plus is the good sized, quiet rooms.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Marcia from Gladstone, MO
“What a heavenly experience we had as the beds were like sleeping on clouds. Everything was delightful and after they get their construction finished, it'll be an unbelievably wonderful hotel.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Antonio from Farmers Branch, TX
“Hotel was in poor shape because of construction.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Ron from Sun Valley, CA
“The hotel was under renovation and was a mess. I have experienced this several times with hotels and it is not a good thing. In addition the AC did not work the first night and restaurant food was poor.” Jul 19, 2008 by
Tina from Quitman, TX
“Very nice room! Bathroom was very nice with marble walls in the shower, bed was very comfortable. Hotel was under construction, but staff was very nice and room was worth the money!” Jul 18, 2008 by
Patty from Tualatin, OR
“The room was dirty. The toilet had not been cleaned. There were socks still in the room from the last traveler. Someone entered my room while I occupied it. Every single person I came in contact with was rude, like I was bothering them, asking them to do their job. Not a single friendly face to be found. First disappointment.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Annette from Mason, OH
“Stayed while under renovation. Hotel management gracious, quick to assist us upon discovering very unsanitary conditions in standard shower; towels however were very clean. Phone was not working either. Note of caution - We observed silver dollar - size mildew fauna growing from carpeting by bedroom door, which we brought to the attention of the weekend of front desk upon checking out. Pool was very nice, restaurant food/service - excellent.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Ck from Albuquerque, NM
“This hotel is in an ideal location. The room was very comfortable.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Lorena from El Paso, TX
“If the staff was not as friendly and helpful as they were, I would have hated my stay. Hopefully after all the remodeling, this hotel will be a lot more comfortable to visit.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Melody from Fort Worth, TX
“The room was nice, though the shower did not work. The bed was comfortable. The staff was marginally helpful. I was lied to about my room, about the move to a different hotel, and about other things. I am not sure why they were putting people on floors that were being rebuilt, seems dangerous.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Mark from Oklahoma City, OK
“This hotel was a worse than a Motel 6. It had low class accommodations in all areas. The construction made a bad hotel even worse. I would never stay there again.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Teresa from Prescott, AZ
“This hotel is under construction, so very messy. They didn't even offer a free breakfast or anything for the trouble. The pool was closed the entire time we were there. Couldn't get it clean! They could not compensate us. Had to ask them to take some trays from another room out of the hallway after sitting there 2 days. Maid service didn't come in every day. The beds were comfortable, but had to get new pillows. Very lumpy. No door between the toilet/shower area & the sink area. Looks like it used to have one.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Crystal from Wichita Falls, TX
“Very poor. The front desk worker was not friendly at all, the lobby was under construction all weekend, had to walk around painters and people laying carpet. 1st room had no air. Room was 80 degree on Saturday morning when we woke up. Spoke to the front desk, was moved to another room. This room had base boards coming off the wall and or none at all, the restroom set was broken off, moved when you tried to sit, dresser drawer was broke off and just laid in the hole. Pool very cloudy.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Amy from Plano, TX
“Do not stay here! This hotel is not ready to open. The first room we were in had no air. The next room they moved us to another room, had no television, the third room had no phones and the television still did not work properly. With two young children switching rooms was three times was not convenient. We should have switched again, but it was late and the kids were tired. Although not outright rude, the staff didn't put much effort into getting us into a comfortable functional room. There was a lot of construction in the building. Perhaps when they get everything fixed the hotel won't be so bad.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Vu from Dallas, TX
“The hotel is in a good location, but I think a Motel 6 has better rooms. This hotel was a major disappointment.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Joe from Minneapolis, MN
“Hotel was under construction. Sound of saw and hammer louder than TV. Staff could not assist with minimizing the noise; hould not have been labeled nice hotel while under so much construction.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Linda from Bixby, OK
“I think when the construction is finished it will be really nice. The location is convenient. The staff was friendly and efficient.” Jun 7, 2008 by
Denise from Tucson, AZ
“Extreme wear and tear-showing its age. The beds were really comfortable. Bathroom tiny. Very convenient to downtown, museums, ballgames and Oklahoma Memorial.” Jun 7, 2008 by
Ryan from Wichita Falls, TX
“There was too much construction, the ice makers only worked on one floor, mold in bathroom and in shower/bathtub area. Food trays were left out in the hallway at 2030 from the breakfast meal.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Daniel from Oklahoma City, OK
“Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. No water for shower, air conditioning was broken, pool was dirty, water leaking on the room carpet. Noisy hammering at 6:00 a.m. every morning because they had carpet layers working on the floor above me. The room smelled, no toilet paper, the staff didn't care, and didn't even send anyone up to bring me toilet paper, I had to go into the lobby restroom and get toilet paper and bring it back to my room.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Janice from Olathe, KS
“Overall good for one night stay. They are remodeling and make needed improvements. The Crowne sleep system advantage is the best thing they have going and the location is great. Just remember you have clients while the remodeling is going on.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Vicky from Tucson, AZ
“This was a very nice hotel, the rooms were nicely appointed and clean. They are in the process of updating so the facilities will be even nicer when done.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Gena from Midwest City, OK
“The price for the star was unbelievable. We stayed on the 8th floor at the same time the carpets on the 9th floor were being replaced. It's no easy feat to sleep while someone is pounding away on your ceiling. When we said something to the desk staff, they simply said, 'well, the hotel is under renovation.' I had to ask them if they could offer a room change and was given flack about that.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Tavia from Oklahoma City, OK
“We didn't get to stay in the hotel we wanted.” May 31, 2008 by
Xiomara from Philadelphia, PA
“People were unfriendly, and the hotel was noisy. There were people working on the premises by 7 am which made it impossible to sleep afterwards. I do not recommend this hotel.” May 30, 2008 by
Marla from Rogers, AR
“On 2 different a.m. we were left dirty coffee cups - one of the sets were someone elses dirty coffee cups! There were also some dead bugs around the room.” May 29, 2008 by
Cesar from Amarillo, TX
“The hotel was in an excellent location near the mall and restaurants, but that was one of the few bright spots. The lobby was unimpressive. The room was away from the main building. You had to walk outside and it was right next to the pool, which for us was bad. The pool was not clean and it was uncomfortable to have to walk outside of the hotel to get to our room every time. The room was clean and about average except that the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in my life. It was nearly impossible to use. Otherwise the room was satisfactory. The service was satisfactory as well. No complaints there. The room however was below average. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were way too big such that no one in my family could get any sleep. It wasn't a horrible experience overall, but I expect much better for the price. I will not be staying there again.” May 28, 2008 by
Tom from Tulsa, OK
“Have stayed here before. Pleasant experience overall. Undergoing remodeling. Constant hammering on Saturday and Sunday. A nap was definitely out of the question. A bad leak in the vanity light area started over Saturday night and ran down onto the floor. Not enough luggage caddies available. Inconvenient getting luggage through the front revolving door and handicapped door. Wireless internet service was not readily available. Had to have a cord and router loaner from the front desk. The cable connectors were worn and service was only intermittent and was frustrating. It was almost impossible to find a plug-in for the computer once the loaner router was plugged in on the lamp. Had some trouble figuring out how to get the "mood music" to turn off on the radio!” May 28, 2008 by
Gloria from Enid, OK
“I am very disappointed in the Crowne Plaza. This was my husbands and my 34th wedding anniversary and we thought we would enjoy a night to ourselves. When we arrived at the hotel they said they were sorry but that they had problems with a couple of rooms and that we would be moved to another hotel. We checked in the middle of the afternoon. Why were we the ones to have to move?” May 27, 2008 by
Lydia from Wellington, TX
“Modern and updated. Great location- easy access and close to shopping/restaurants.” May 27, 2008 by
William from Clifton, TX
“Starting to show its age. There was a dirty glass sitting on the floor in the bathroom. Hi-speed internet was not high speed.” May 25, 2008 by
Justin from Lubbock, TX
“The fact that the hotel was under construction was the major turnoff. It started at 8 in the morning and continued throughout the day. We were unable to sleep in and relax because the hammering noises coming through the walls. We were on a different floor than where the construction was and we could still hear it. The staff advised, "There is nothing we can do about it." Although, the hotel has potential to be a nice. hotel.” May 24, 2008 by
Timothy from Pflugerville, TX
“Under construction but well maintained.” Hotel Representatives:
