• Lots of spiders.

“The room was dirty and lots of spiders in the room. The info cards they put on your pillow was covered in old coffee and food. I would not stay there again.”

• Clean.
• The neighbors were very loud and the management did not address it.

“Friendly, clean but not customer service oriented. We were traveling across the country with a two year old and the people in the next room partied all night. I asked the management to address the situation and they would not. I finally had to knock on their door and tell them myself at 1:30 AM.”

• Friendly, non-hassle place. Quiet. Excellent breakfast set-up.
• Nothing. This met our needs.

• Convenient location.
• The thin and sagging mattress was murder to sleep on.

“Everything appeared to be very nice and well kept at first. But appearances were deceiving. My rooms mattress was thin and non-supportive. My neck and back hurt for two days after one night in their bed. The thin non insulated walls are also noisy. Every time a door closed somewhere in the building I heard and felt it.”

• Moderately priced, close to the event that I was in town for.
• Again, as I didn't stay but over night, the only thing that I found unsatisfactory was that the bed mattress was to hard (firm).

“Not really much to say. Was only there over night. However mattress was way to firm. Would have slept better on a less firm mattress.”

• This hotel was clean and best of all, the internet and breakfast were free.
• I had a pool, but not a fitness room.

• The room had a very appealing look. Almost quaint.
• The hinges on the bathroom door should be made of a stainless metal. They were completely rusted.

• The pool area was nice and clean and was not over chlorinated like some hotels.
• The only ice machine was in the lobby on the first floor.

“Actually we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean. It was hard to shut our door to our room though. If you didn't give it an extra pull after it was shut it wouldn't lock.”

• Although it did not bother me the restaurant next door which my window was next too began playing music fairly early in the morning.

• Missing light bulbs in room, roaches in the bathroom, and noisy.

“The hotel was definitely not a quiet place to stay. External noise was not an issue, but sound carries inside the hotel beyond what I normally find. I travel weekly, and this was one of the noisiest places I've stayed. I had to go to the front desk and ask for light bulbs because some were missing, and I shared the bathroom with a cockroach or two.”

• The hotel has gone downhill from times I have stayed there in the past. It was not quite as clean as normal.

• The temperature of the pool was just right!
• The door to the pool room was difficult to open.

“The check in process was simple and the front desk clerk was pleasant. We found our rooms to be clean, attractive and of good size. We had a room by the north entrance and stairs, but it was surprisingly quiet. We were the only guests in the pool room in the evening, which was fortunate because our 3 children didn't leave much room in the small pool! I do have to say; however, that the temperature of the pool was heavenly. The breakfast area was larger than most, and the above average variety of items included make your own waffles always a hit with the kids. We will definitely visit the Fairfield Inn again!”

“Poor, there were ants in the room and all over the breakfast buffet. Another guest carried the sugar bowl to the front desk telling them it was filled with ants. There were ants on the bathroom counter and elsewhere in the room.”

• I stayed in 3 hotels at the same price point on this trip, this was the best.
• The smoking area right outside the main entry has got to move to a new place.

“Overall this is a good property with good amenities - should have a slightly higher star rating than what's currently posted. The smoking area outside the main entry was a definite turnoff for me and my family. Despite the smoking area, I'd still place this in my top 3 hotels in the Salina ski area.”
