• Unusual shape-size, interior lobby, clean large rooms.

“This is an old military facility converted into a lovely hotel facility. The location is convenient to the airport and to the highway. Self-parking is very convenient, though there is a charge.”

• It was clean, and easy to get in and out.
• Too far from downtown Austin.

“$4 bottle of water is a bit much. There was no fridge. Ice machine on our 3rd floor didn't work. I had to go to the 2nd floor. Valet parking stops at 9PM, and no valet parking on Sunday. I paid for valet parking but had to get my own car.”

• It is located right on the airport property.
• They charge $8 a night for your parked car.

“Hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was quite good. Late night drinks were good (although a bit expensive). The cleaning staff was quite friendly as was the check-in and check-out procedure and personnel. A very enjoyable stay.”

• They charge for parking.

• Despite being at the airport the hotel was quiet.
• Daily parking fee.

• Fantastic staff and beautiful architecture.
• $4 for a bottle of drinking water.

“This hotel has a history as a cold war airforce stronghold or so. Therefore it is round (totally) and has great modern architecture. It is an experience. On top, the staff was extremely nice and helpful. We had a great stay. It is about 6 miles from the Capitol.”

• clean new, very easy to access coming in from Houston off of 71,staff was super nice
• rooms were a little small

“Small rooms but very nice and new Roomy bathroom with granite tops. Lobby and Bar area are as nice as any 4 star hotel. Overall a great place to stay and excellent price.”

• I DID NOT LIKE BEING CHARGED $16.OO FOR PARKING!!!!!

“I enjoyed the stay at the hotel before and certainly did not remember a charge for parking. If they are going to accept a bid for a room they should, at least, leave a note that their will be a parking charge for leaving your vehicle in their parking lot. I was very displeased and I do hope they are notified. I did not have time to check out so I did not get to verbalize my dissatisfaction with the charge. It was just added to my credit card.”

“Not quite up to a 3 star rating...more like a Hampton Inn rather than a Hilton (without the free breakfast). You have to pay for parking, $8 a day (although I was never charged according to my checkout statement).”

• It had very nice facilities and the staff was curteous and friendly.
• The location. . .right on airport grounds which is convenient for those staying for a short while and flying.

“It is a very nice hotel. Perfect for people staying a short time and needing to catch a flight out of Austin. The hotel staff was superb! The facilities were very nice and to my surprise, I didn't hear airplanes flying over head like I expected.”

• $8.00 to park is quite pricey

“The Austin Hilton Airport is very conveniently located to the airport IF you are staying at the airport only; it is not a hotel one would choose for a sightseeing visit to Austin. The room was clean with adequate space. The $8.00 price for parking should be advertised in the hotel description OR the rate should be raised to include this price. Very tricky pricing for this one!!”

“the hotel was nice although the desk in the room was falling apart and two light bulbs in room out one thing that was very bad was they charge $8.00 for parking we did not like that because noone mentioned it even after i called and talked to them about the parking we don't like surprises when we check in”

“This hotel was very nice for a 3 star. The rooms were large and very clean. The location is about 10 minutes off of I-35 but is very close to the airport. The self parking fee was a little expensive. Overall, great hotel!”

• Bathroom was very nice.
• No restaurants within van range. Van driver couldn't leave airport property.

“This was an OK room. I had a nice view of the roof. The check in was inefficient and slow. Wet room since it was very humid in Austin and they turn off the AC when you leave for the day. Also there were no restaurants the hotel van could drive you to. You need a car to get around, and even guests pay parking!”

• unique architecture
• confusing access from Highway 71; I circled through the airport and back before finding a hotel entrance

“A unique hotel in a former air force base headquarters building, the extensive use of glass and Texas Hill Country limestone in the walls and interior partitions makes this a pleasing place to stay. Access seems to favor those arriving by air; access from the highway was confusing. The rooms were new and clean and met our expectations.”

“The Hotel is well maintained in the middle of the airport area and very well connected to downtown. The hotel could definitely buy some points by adding "complimentary" to the parking lot and to the wireless connections, which are desired and very expensive as of now.”

• The hotel was beautiful, clean and comfortable.
• I requested two beds, expected queens, got doubles. I didn't think anyone used double anymore.

“The desk staff wasn't particularly friendly, however the bellboy/shuttle driver was very friendly and helpful. The room was a little warm, air-conditioning wasn't that great, but satisfactory. The room was elegant and clean as was the lobby and common areas.”

• It's a very nice Hilton property
• The pop machines don't seem to work - this was my second experience at the hotel with not being able to get a Pop.

• The staff were very nice and helpful and the rooms were clean.
• Charge for parking each night, $2.50 for toast, $.50 initial charge for each local call + charge for time

“This hotel looked promising. It's close to the airport, but to get to anywhere in Austin, one must drive through not-so-savvy parts of town. All the directory signs listed a pool on the first level but there was no pool to be found - very disappointing. Just a piece of toast was $2.50! I can buy two loaves of bread for that. Parking cost $8 a night and local calls (LOCAL Calls) cost $.50 each plus more once you exceeded an hour. My fiance and I will never stay in another Hilton. We were surprised the showers were not coin-operated.”

• Nice and spacious rooms and the beds were comfortable not broken down and it was very quiet
• We would have liked to been able to have a continental breakfast with this price hotel

“It was a very nice hotel, but it was anoying to get in and out of the parking lot, each time you entered you have to get a ticket that was not worth anything, the person at the hotel desk said just throw it in the trash. Everything else was fine except no free breakfast.”

• Very clean, quiet and close to downtown Austin.
• There was not an entrance to the parking lot by our room. We had to walk around to get to our room.

“Nice,clean, quiet. Neat round hotel. Close to down town Austin. Very quiet rooms. Could not really hear the airplanes. Usually you can hear other people in the restroom or showering. But not here. BIG PLUS!”
