  • Landscaping around hotel was park like.
  • Traffic noise, mold in shower, no maid service.

“This Extended Stay America hotel did not deserve a 2 star rating, not even a 1 star rating. The shower was moldy, the room was large but spartan (not inviting), traffic noise from I-35 kept me awake for three nights, there's no maid service, and someone had dipped one of the light bulbs in a smelly substance so that it would emit an odor when turned on.”

  • Its beautiful
  • They don't clean the rooms daily. They only clean them before you go in and after you leave.

“We were very happy with the hotel, but disliked the fact that when we asked for the time the cleaning crew came in, they told us they would not clean the room thoroughly. Aside from that, it was a great room and the people that work there were also very helpful and friendly.”

“We got caught in a hotel change between Wellesley Inn & Suites to ExtendedStay America. When we purchased we selected Wellesley and expected full service. When the property changed hands the housekeeping policy changed to no service for stays of 1-3 days...extremely disappointing as we had no control over the change.”

  • Huge 2 room suite...unespected kitchen, 2 tvs!! Great!!
  • The bathtub could have used bleaching...black stain in the bottom...wouldn' t have wanted to take a bath in there...

“Easy transaction at front desk...very quiet hotel...beautiful grounds (huge old oak trees). The two room suite was VERY unexpected at the price...full kitchen facilities (complete with dishwasher)...comfortable bed...two televisions...breakfast bar. Very, very comfortable and convenient.”

  • it actually had pay per view!
  • it was dark and hard to find - the sign wasn't illuminated.

“The last time I stayed at this brand hotel, it was at a different location - but in the same city. It was horrable - it was old and dingy and smelled musty. I would only stay in there to sleep. This other location was fantastic. Very clean, seemed relatevely new, had pay per view, etc. I wish I would have know and it would have stayed all weekend. When I rent a 2 star hotel, it is to crash only - but I could have really relaxed in this room.”

  • It was terrible.

“The worst stay we've experienced in many years. I called before leaving the DFW area to asked for a non-smoking room and was told it was done. On arrival, the room we were assigned was smoking. We were given a non-smoking room, but it was next to the interstate and so noisy that we could not sleep. The property had a very tired look. The clerk on duty when we checked in had a poor attitude--he was doing us a big favor by serving us.”

  • Checkin person very friendly and helpful.
  • Checkout person - some of towels in room not folded, looked used.

“Very pleasant, helpful check-in person assigned a convenient room. Hard to find, not very friendly check-out person. Breakfast ok. Room clean, except some of towels not seeming clean, not folded, tub had old soil (scrubbing had been attempted). Somewhat spartan, but fine for one night. Nice grounds, has exercise room. Hotel obviously in transit stage from prior name.”

  • The staff was friendly.
  • It did not have any of the accomadations that it said it did

“The hotel had just been bought by another chain. They were out of everything,and did not clean our room the whole time we were there. The staff was nice and really had no control over the terrible state of the hotel.”

“This simply doesn't rate two stars. Maid service occurs only once a week--which results in odors in the hallways, rooms. Generally unclean. Very stingy--one bar of soap, no shampoo, no paper towels, broken exercise equipment. This hotel should be downgraded to one star-it doesn't meet priceline's standards. I stayed at a Clarion the previous night and the differences could not be more stark. While it was a Wellesley franchise, before it was bought by Extended Stay, it was able to maintain the two star standard. ”

  • My room fronted the highway. I'm a very light sleeper and the traffic noise was a problem

“The only problem was with the other residents. The hotel was full of 9-13 year old boy soccer players who loved to ride the elevator & bounce balls in the hall. If I had paid regular price I would have complained... BUT...overall, we were satisifed.”

“I enjoyed my stay at this establishment. The room was exactly what I expected, and was clean when I arrived. The staff was amenable, and helpful. I was, however, disappointed that the internet access was not free. The cost was approximately $10/day for their wireless service. Particularly in Austin (where Denny's has free wireless access), this was a fairly large detractor. For the price I paid, I was very happy with the quality of the room and facilities.”

“This has always been one of my favorite hotels to stay due to cleanliness, location and friendliness of staff. The one exception this last visit was the excessive charge for the use of the 6 minutes of video game my 6 yr. old son accidentally connected to on the TV. I attempted to resolve it due to multiple connection fees being billed and I was told I had to pay it regardless. I was really dissapointed by that incident. I have stayed there at least 7 times in the last year. That unfriendliness of that employee is enough for me to not ever go back.”

“The hotel had no rooms with 2 beds. A pullout sofa was available, but only 1 bed. Spoke with night clerk (who was not very friendly). He indicated that there were suites with 2 beds, but they were unavailable to me.”

“The hotel was nice but wasn't aware that they accepted pets, when a dog woke me up in the middle of the night. It looked new from the outside but the room decor was not appealing at all. Overall it was satisfactory.”

“We were thrilled with the value of Wellesley Inn & Suites and it defiantly exceeded our expectations! The rooms are spacious and the property is beautiful and conveniently located off the freeway. The best part was that they allow pets for an extra $10. We will stay there again!”

“The Wellesley Inn And Suites Austin is an old hotel that is not very well kept. The carpet was worn and the couch and bedding was not fresh either. My room was a suite with a kitchenette, but it is not the same quality level of a Residence Inn or Amerisuites which is also listed as the same classification.”

“At Wellesley Inn I got a friendly welcome. No problems with my reservation. Parking spaces were plentiful. The grounds were very nice and very clean, as was the large pool and pool area. And last but not least, the room was great! It was very clean and roomy. I had everything I needed! I will definitely stay at Wellesley Inn again!”

“The hotel was a decent place to stay; however, everything about the room was cheap and the sheets were stained badly. We wanted a 2 1/2 star hotel, but found this to be much lower quality than a Courtyard by Marriott. It was more on par with Motel 6.”

“The lady at registration was clueless, saying that they had us registered but there was not a room for us. We left and were going to another hotel and when arrived at the other place she had called to let them know that she in fact did have a room and we should come back. It was very weird and unusual.”
