• All doors open to inside corridor. Lobby and rooms are very clean.

“Very nice hotel, near freeway exits. Hotel is very clean, rooms are very comfortable. Desk staff is courteous and efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.”

• They accepted our dogs!
• If you are in Austin for pleasure, the hotel is not near downtown or the capital area; about a 10 min drive.

“We evacuated from Houston after like hit due to lack of power. We have two very large dogs and the hotel was very understanding! They accepted our dogs, the free breakfast (and free dinner) were a wonderful addition! We tried many different hotels and most of which were charging for almost every amenity. It is nice to see a hotel that is giving back. The decor is a bit out dated, but there is a lovely pool and the bed was very comfortable and the hotel very clean.”

• Plenty of hot water, good value for the money.
• The adjacent neighborhood made me feel uneasy. More parking security needed.

“It was certainly worth the price, although I did worry about my car parked in the back parking lot at night. The room was very quiet and I did not hear anyone else through the walls, nor did their water usage affect the temperature of my shower. It's not the Ritz, but it was a decent place to sleep and shower for the night.”

• I liked the hotel's location; near downtown and I-35 without the congestion of downtown.
• The hotel had a dark outside path leading to the room, and was a little dirty.

“This hotel has a good location and wasn't bad overall. However, a few well placed light bulbs and a smile from the staff would have made the stay a little better.”

“The building is older and the room smelled a little musty. But everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to the highway and Downtown Austin was not far.”

• I liked being able to smoke and park right outside my door.
• They didn't follow their own "green rules" re linens and towels.

“Bedside lamp was out, no button on shower converter. Instructions said to put card on bed that you wanted sheets changed, and if you hung up a towel that meant you would use it again. They took my hung up towel and didn't change the sheets on the bed.”

“the hotel did not agree to give me a nonsmoking room, they wanted to give a smoking room at all cost, I had to do a lot of phone calls and emails in order to get what I needed. Very sad experience. Hope never again go back to that chain on hotels.”

• The location was great from IH 35 and near highland mall. Rooms were clean & I love the TX waffles in the continental breakfast.

“This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. Rooms have been very clean each time and a great value for the price. Their variety of the free continental breakfast is great with the Texas waffles freshly made. Location was great and accessible to main Austin highways.”

• I especially liked the layout of the room. It was very comfortable for travelers had.
• Had a ant problem that hadnt been addressed since my previous stay.

• Location in a bad neighborhood of town. The bed was terrible.

“The Baymont Inn is a former La Quinta Inn. It is a clean place and The staff takes care of the facilities. The biggest problem is the location of the hotel. It is right off IH 35 in a rather low economic section of Austin. It is probably not that safe a place for a single professional woman like myself. There are a lot of hotels around this area which I think would be better choices. The bed was quite uncomfortable and needed a new mattress. I doubt I will stay there again even though it was clean and well maintained.”

• Was very visible from I-35 and easy to get to.
• Parking spaces were taken up by people eating at Denny's.

“I was quite happy with the price of the hotel. My son had a soccer tournament in Pflugerville and the hotel was close enough without costing a lot. The only problem that we had was when getting back to the hotel all spaces were taken up by people eating at Denny's, even though signs were posted "for hotel use only".”

• I liked the layout of the rooms and the easy access to things
• My room had a minor ant problem.

• Clerk at check-in wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either.

“This was a nice, clean motel with a small swimming pool and an excellent breakfast. We were traveling through Austin with children and wanted to tour the capital. This motel is north of downtown but is an easy drive to UT and the capitol. Aside from the clerk at check in, the staff was warm and friendly. We were pleased with the facilities especially for the price.”

• Mugging across street, poor hotel.

“upon arrival manager would not check in till 3 upon leaving police was down road, rough neighborhood and not close to river walk's police officers even instructed us to move closer to town and they are 1/2 mile away.. I am a firefighter and my brother is a police officer and we would not stay here with our families.”

• Had to walk or drive all the way around property to get to office from my room.

• Room not ready until over 2 hrs. later. Room way too small.

“Would not recommend this hotel at all. When we arrived after the stated check-in, we were told to come back 2 hours later. There was supposed to be a continental breakfast; there was not. We ate at the Denny's in front of the "motel" and it looked like a tornado had been through it. There were street people hanging around outside the hotel and it was not a safe area. Would never recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.”

“The hotel was nice and I found it to be quiet. I wish the TV had worked better, but I was tired so I didn't complain. Also the bathtub faucet dripped. But that was all the problems. The beds were nice enough and clean. The room was clean and spacious. There was a desk and chair where I was able to work on my laptop. There was a nicely sized closet for my hanging clothes with an iron.”

• The bathroom/shower area was too small.

• Mini apartment with complete facilities.

“Great for short and especially long term trips. Only downside is small pool with same depth as the Jacuzzi. No King beds available. Clean with in-house store. Very worthwhile staying there and would do so again.”

“The hotel was clean and newly renovated. Beds were comfortable. The toilette was clean. Good thing they served breakfast whereas later we went to Holiday Inn hotel and the breakfast was not free. So for the money we paid for this hotel, we got a quiet sleep, and that was what we needed for that one night stay.”

• The breakfast, was the only thing pleasant.
• The area is very dangerous.

“I called my husband to come stay with me and my girls. The location was so bad. I did not feel safe or comfortable letting the girls go out side for even a soda. There were cops there several times that night. There was fighting and yelling. It was not a good place for women or children. You should have a warning about the location. Women and children could get hurt there, just not safe.”
