• Staff was very courtesy.
• We were not able to watch movies on the television.

“It was a large hotel. From the outside it did not look very attractive. Some of the surrounding areas were a little filthy. However, the hotel was clean I just felt I was watching for something to show up that was not right. Over all the stay was pleasant. Would I use the hotel again? Only if it was the only one around.”

• Moldy tub grout, pool under construction, indifferent staff.

“I would consider this hotel a 2 or 2.5 star hotel. It is small, dark and dated. The rooms have updated furniture, but need an overall renovation. The bathroom was tiny. The grout was black and moldy. The rooms have dated Sleep Number beds, which I did not care for. The bed linens had hair and small stains on them. You must check out by stopping at the front desk (no other methods to check out). I was the second one in line, but somehow she helped 3 other guests before me. Would not recommend.”

• The location was good.
• They did not do simple room service jobs, bathroom was trashed (toilet broken, shower clogged).

“I have stayed in plenty of Radisson hotels before, I typically am very pleased with this hotel chain. However, this particular Radisson was not even close to the quality of the others. The bathroom was in poor condition; the toilet was not screwed into the floor, and did not flush. The shower was clogged, and when we called the front desk for help, they did not send someone up (after they said they would.) We stayed there for two days, and not once did the staff come to our room to re-stock the towels, make the beds, or fix the bathroom. For the ranking of this hotel, it was in very poor condition, the wall paper was falling of the walls, and the windows were so dirty you could not see out of them. The Radisson chain overall is a good chain. This particular Radisson was in terrible condition, will not stay at that one again.”

• Smelt musty, bed was not comfortable. Pillows were flat. No fridge.

“Needs major upgrades. Doesn't feel comfortable when you first walk in. Needs a big chandelier, flowers.”

• The bed was nicely adjustable and the down comforter was great. Please with its appearance.

“It was a little hard to find off the freeway, but is in a good central location. Room was generous, bed comfy, but as usual the light bulbs were too dim to read area maps. Easy access to northern and southern Austin via Highway 35.”

• The rooms had sleep number beds which were amazing.
• When I called to ask about the pool being closed, they woman on the phone was impolite in responding to my concern.

“The lobby and rooms were clean and welcoming. The front desk was friendly and helpful, giving us maps to help us find our way around town. The rooms were spacious and the bed was wonderful. Except for the person whom I talked to on the phone prior to our stay, the hotel was perfect.”

• We really liked the king size sleep number bed and the room was very spacious.
• Asked for repair of the toilet and it was not taken care of.

“Very nice hotel. The pool was closed and that was a disappointment because we had planned on doing some relaxing in the sun. Loved the sleep number bed.”

• Their staff was incredible. I was lost in Austin and they gave me turn by turn directions to the hotel.
• What hotel remodels their pool at the peek of summer time.

• Hotel was very nice and polished inside.
• The restaurant is very overpriced.

“Very nice lobby area with small gift shop and decent restaurant. Rooms were nice with upgraded bed linens and marble bath counters. We had to change rooms when maintenance repeatedly failed to fix the pay-per-view movies. Maintenance did fix our noisy air conditioning unit the same day though. Kids wanted to swim, but pool was undergoing a lengthy long-term remodeling. Mall nearby is second rate and so is the area, a little older. There is also a one star hotel next door with some questionable characters. The hotel is directly on the city's bus line. Staff was very professional. Hotel interior was very safe and secure.”

• Treated me less than a normal patron. I didn't get papers like other rooms.

“Nice, clean hotel but disorganized staff. Elevators broke down so we had a long wait for the only available elevator. I was pleased with my stay.”

• Convenient as far as location.
• Not easily seen from the freeway; hotel under renovation and no pool for the kids. Food service was not great.

“It was okay for time of stay I was there, but I would not stay there for more than one night. Food service was not great, pool under renovation and the rooms were a bit outdated. Air condition in the room too loud. Very hard to find when coming into town. Not easily seen from the freeway.”

“The rooms are comfortable and clean. If you are seeking a full service restaurant and or lounge this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for affordable accommodations on the north side of Austin this is acceptable.”

• The balcony! We could watch the fireworks!
• We hated that the swimming pool; wasn't available!

• The location of the hotel was excellent. The service at the hotel front desk was outstanding.
• I noticed large roaches in the hallway of the hotel.

“I would recommend the Radisson because of the location and price. Much more the hotel staff was extremely friendly and informative.”

• It was quiet and had a romantic setting which I looked for.
• The swimming pool was being remodeled, and we wanted to use it.

“The sleep number bed is awesome, and if you want romance this is it. But we had a room with a balcony that had the worst view ever!”

• The outside of the patio sliding glass door was dirty and the patio needed sweeping.

“The room was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel offers free shuttle service to surrounding areas restaurants, shopping, etc. The free Wi-Fi worked well and I am very pleased with the value offered by the Hotel. I will definitely stay here again.”

• We got there and had a 2 doubles and they immediately switched it to a king size.
• Bums were out front trying to scam us for money. Not cool.

“Nice hotel. Ok location near a mall, just hard to actually get into since the streets are all screwy. Other than that, nice people in a clean hotel which was well taken care of.”

• The room was very clean and the location was perfect for our day trips around town.
• Not much not to like on this stay.

“The hotel is not located directly on a major freeway feeder. This actually results in a nicer access and quite stay. The hotel staff and location was more than adequate. The pool was closed for remodeling, but we will be back before the summer to try it. It looks like it will be nice.”

“I was expecting a little more for a 3 star hotel. I got a better room when I stayed at a 1 star hotel last time. The cable service was off and the staff couldn't fix the problem. The bed was really old and lumpy. It was just not what I expected.”

• A close location to my event, the sleep number bed was a great plus, and the breakfast food was tasty.
• Room service did not replace new cups used the following evening.

“This hotel was a great experience with the amenities. The food prices were a bit high, but the quality was good. Having this hotel near a mall makes for an easy opportunity to replace items if need be. The wireless internet was a great addition. Having a sleep number bed offered a pleasant form of sleeping comfort. Overall, the Austin north Radisson experience was worth every penny.”

• The decor had been redone and was beautiful. The beds are great!
• No complaints.

“This hotel has recently been remodeled. The luxury of the rooms is equal to the elegant ambience of the lobby and public areas. The beautiful, comfortable king bed and spacious room made our stay especially enjoyable. The staff was courteous and willing to help with directions and other needs. I only wish our schedule had allowed us to stay additional nights.”

• Pool was closed due to renovations.

“I have lived in Austin, I was familiar with the area where the hotel is located. The hotel was very nice in all areas and looked as if it had been renovated in the last year or so. I roamed the public spaces and did not notice anything negative. Considering that it was a holiday weekend, I hardly saw any other guests. Based on the size of the hotel, I did not feel that there would be adequate parking if it were full. I did return late one night and had to park behind the hotel. The hotel backs up to the parking lot of a mall, which did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. The Greyhound bus station is also adjacent to the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near the interstate for those driving. There is ample shopping within walking distance, but not many options for dining, other than at the mall. I'm sure that the accommodations at the Radisson far surpass the nearby 2 star hotels. I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again.”

• The bedding is great! Sleep number bed and feather/down pillows!
• The internet service is bad.

“This hotel is older and it shows in stained/peeling wall paper and that sort of thing. However, they have upgraded the bedding, linens, pillows, etc and so those are very nice. I'm not sure why we need down comforters in Texas when the temperatures are in the 90s, but they are there. The main issue for me was that the wireless internet cycled every 10-15 minutes and disconnected my computer. It was extremely frustrating and they moved me to another room in hopes of finding a stable spot - but that didn't work either. Then I was told there were too many users in the hotel. Also, the morning room service people are rude and serve attitude more than food.”
