• It was in a great location within walking distance of entertainment.
• The rooms were smaller than expected.

“Hilton Austin was a great hotel. It was in a good location close to 6th Street and the warehouse district. So, there was plenty to do without having to get in your car. The hotel was clean and classy. The parking was a bit expensive which is not uncommon in any downtown area.”

• I loved everything from the decorations to the friendly staff. It was a wonderful place to stay.
• The valet took forever. We even called down ahead of time and still waited about 30 minutes.

“There are some many wonderful things about the Hilton Austin. The location is ideal, especially for those that want to venture onto 6th Street. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to go back.”

• Every thing was fantastic.
• Saturday night at football crowd yelled, screamed, honked horns and kept us up until 4am. Hotel had no control over crowd outside.

“Would highly recommend it to everyone. Rooms are great. Make sure to ask and check your room as non smoking. One room we had was non smoking and reeked of smoke entire stay.”

• Helpful staff, internet access via TV in room, walking distance to restaurants.
• Paying for internet, no dryer, guests have to pay for parking

“The Hilton was an outstanding value. It's a nice clean hotel and walking distance from many of Austin's best restaurants and bars. It would be nice if higher-end hotels like Hilton offered complementary internet and bottled water instead of charging, but overall, my experience was very good.”

“ It is conveniently located downtown within walking distance of the Austin Convention Center, 6th Street, and great restaurants. The hotel staff made excellent restaurant recommendations. All in all, a great hotel that I highly recommend.”

• Staff seemed to care that we were staying at Austin Hilton and they were child friendly.
• What's to dislike when they treat you nicely.

“I can honestly say that the Austin Hilton is a great place to stay. It is confidently located to all the entertainment district, not to mention all the fabulous places to go eat. I would recommend the Austin-Hilton to anybody. Great experience and friendly staff.”

• poor staff. no flexibility with non-smoking rooms

“Overall fine but we tried to move to a non-smoking room and it just didn't happen. The smoking rooms were quite painful if you are allergic to smoke. I had a terrible time breathing.”

• The Shower - too weak on water pressure

“You couldn't ask for a better located hotel if you plan to enjoy the night life of Austin. My wife and I were merely blocks from all the main bars and didn't have to worry about parking or driving. The Hotel is very modern and the hotel staff is amazingly friendly in every aspect. We had a great time and plan to go back to this Hilton again!”

• It was very clean, the people were very nice and the bed was so comfortable, I loved it.

“I felt very comfortable there. The bathrooms were very clean and well accomodating. The beds were clean and very comfortable. I could have slept all day. It was quiet and exactly what me and husband were looking for, a little get way. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Thank you.”

“For a real "uptown" treat, stay at the Hilton on 4th street. We walked to all the attractions in the entertainment district of Austin, from dinner, to coffee, to the Alamo drafthouse. It's a fabulous place to make your homebase when visiting Austin, minutes from the UT campus, as well as Town Lake.”

• The hotel is just 2 blocks from 6th street.
• I could not request a non-smoking room or a king bed

“The staff was friendly and the rooms were great. You have a great view of Downtown, and you are just two blocks from Sixth Street. You don't have to look for parking they have a garage connected to the hotel for $12/day. I would definitely stay here again.”

• I loved the new decor in the rooms. Made me feel like I was in designer heaven.
• The valet parking is expensive!

“Although I am very partial to the Hyatt Regency in Austin, I was very pleased with the Hilton. It had such a contemporary feel in the decor and I especially loved the combination of fabrics used in the rooms. Every hotel should invest in good quality bedding. It adds greatly to the quality of sleep and feeling of luxury.”

• Ask the front desk to make reservations for Stubb's Sunday brunch. He said he would but didn't so we missed out on something we wanted to do.

“Great location and pool. Service was good other than them not booking a reservation for Stubb's Sunday Gospel Brunch. Rather than booking it, they assured me I would not need reservations but when I got there at 11:30, it was full until 1 pm. That was crappy of them.”

• I liked that I could stay at a luxury hotel
• We had troublemakers who littered the hallway that was cleaned up for quite a while.

• Convenience to downtown, UT, parking, and an excellent workout facility
• At checkin, either had to valet car or park yourself before checking in

“The Austin Hilton was excellent. The rooms are large with comfortable beds. The staff made every effort to provide a non-smoking room and give us directions to local favorites. Even though there was a $15 charge for the entire stay for the workout facility, it was well worth the money.”

• The convenience for us was perfect. Very nice and clean rooms.
• Parking was difficult as best.

“We really like this hotel for location, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the rooms. The parking is very difficult and confusing. By the time we got there we had a hard time even finding a spot. Consequently, this increased the cost of our stay. (Parking had increased by $2.00 since we were last there.”

• We had a wonderful view of the city from our 15th story window.
• Had to pay $12 for parking.

“Beautiful hotel with gracious, accommodating staff. The woman who checked me in actually remembered my name a few hours later when I saw her in the lobby! The room had a comfortable bed and pillows, as well as a stunning view of the Frost Bank.”

• The hotel was spacious, clean, attentive staff, great room service, delicious dinner. The coffe shop was a great feature and convenient.
• Valet parking is expensive and especially for a guest that met us at the hotel, they had to pay THE $17 OVERNIGHT RATE TO PARK FOR A FEW HOURS.

“The Austin Hilton downtown is a great location and the rooms are spacious with great views. The staff is very accomodating. The atmosphere vibrant and location is centrally located.”

• It was beautiful, the room were large and the beds very comfortable.

“The Hilton Austin is a great find. The hotel seems new and is beautiful. The rooms are generous and the beds are very comfortable. We had dinner in one restaurant but one person wanted sushi from another restaurant in the hotel and they were happy to accomodate this request.”
