• It had a cool gift shop.
• The staff was less then inviting, and they gave up wrong directions twice.

“The facility was nice, what you would expect from a Hilton. The parking there was really a pain and way too expensive. The staff was not inviting and couldn't give directions.”

• The employees were very friendly. Good fitness center.
• Homeless person asked for me money in the lobby men's room.

“The hotel is clean and friendly staff, enthusiastic employees. The fitness center has all new cardio equipment as well as a good variety of free weights. Easy walking to the action on 4th and 6th streets. Car valet service was prompt and efficient and taxis quickly arrived. Recommend if visiting UT student and they want to show you 6th street - no driving!”

• I loved our corner, spacious room. I loved the large, open lobby.
• Not enough light to get ready by. The light in the bathroom was very dull.

• The location was top notch.
• Internet was not free.

“For anybody looking to stay in downtown Austin, this Hilton was in a great location and within walking distance to most attractions. We had a north facing room and the nighttime view was spectacular. This is a Hilton so they will try and nickel/dime you, but there was nothing we needed that was of any charge (for a longer stay, being charged for internet would have been annoying though). If you stay on the weekend and are able to check in before 7, there is lots of free parking on the street.”

• They don't have Comedy Central. Hallway on 12th floor smelled bad.

• Only the over all look of the hotel, bed was comfy also.
• High price for parking with no other options.

“Average at best. Parking was 16 dollars a night with no options nearby. Clean with a comfortable bed. Kings are always unavailable here as well, go figure. 3 star at best.”

• I've stayed at other Hilton's before, this one was disappointing. Omni hotel downtown is much better with an excellent staff and much cleaner.

“Not much to say, front desk staff was average, specially at checking time. Room was ok at best, in need of a serious remodeling, sheets were clean but smelled bad cleaning product. Self parking was awful, valet was too busy. I hope not to go back to this Hilton.”

• It was clean.
• The bar should stay open until 2 am. It closed before the street bars did.

“The Hilton is always a great hotel. Very consistent quality. The staff was accommodating as they put our room across from our friends room. The rooms were neat, and the bedding comfortable. The parking lot was a pain to get out of as the credit card machine was not working properly and we walked down 11 flights of stairs to the lobby at 9 am to check out. The elevators were crowded, and there were people who had been waiting to get on for more than 20 minutes.”

• I liked the view on the West Side of the hotel.
• There was a handicapped convention during my stay.

“I like the hotel. The room was modern, clean, comfortable. It was smaller than the Omni or Hyatt, but the newness made up for it. I was pleased with the price for where I was in Austin.”

• Convenient to Downtown and UT.
• Parking choices were way overpriced, either $25 valet parking fee or $15 self parking fee.

“This is the first time I stayed since the hotel was renovated. The hotel is right across from the Austin Convention center and centrally located to either Downtown or UT area. The lobby coffee shop has Starbucks coffee as well as pastries and free Wi-Fi.”

• The parking is horrible! The card readers in their lots were absolutely a nightmare to work.

“This was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff at the front desk is great. The rooms are very nice and they have a great spa/fitness center. I will not stay here ever again though because of the headaches I dealt with in the parking garage of theirs. I expected more out of a 4 star hotel.”

• Staff was extremely helpful and nice.
• When we got to the hotel they would only give us 2 queen beds instead of a king size bed. Very uncomfortable.

“The hotel was clean and good shape and in a good location. The staff was very helpful. The only negative was that they would not give us a king size bed which we are accustomed to sleeping in.”

• They charged for parking what a inconvenience I am staying at your hotel.

“Our experience at this hotel was overall a negative one. The hotel itself had a nice decor and clean rooms. However, the staff we encountered was rude. This includes the front desk, valet and at the bar. With emphasis on the front desk staff. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.”

• The hotel is close to much of what makes downtown Austin so much fun. It's also close to the highway for airport access.
• I did not like having to pay for internet access in my room.

“This hotel is really very nice. The standard rooms are well appointed (though not huge), the beds are very comfy, the shower was great and the lobby is very spacious and comfortable. The self parking was easy and pretty affordable (about $11/day). I found the front desk staff to be very helpful. I've stayed here 3 times and always had a good experience. If you want to experience the Austin night life and then walk home to a really top quality hotel, this is a great.”

• Valets can be rude if you pull up front and don't valet park.

• The hotel is conveniently close to 6th St.
• Mandatory $15 a day for parking in the hotels garage.

“What more could you expect from a Hilton? The beds were super comfy and so were the pillows. The restrooms looked the same as 2 and 3 star hotels but no one stays in there long. The lobby and floors were always sparkling and the help was always very friendly. My stay was perfect except that I felt robbed having to pay for parking in the same hotel. I recommend this hotel as it is very close to downtown and one block away from I-35.”

“The staff at this particular hotel were incredibly friendly. They were prepared for the conference that was being held during our stay. At no time did we feel that the conference took over the quality of our stay. We were there for our anniversary and found it to be a wonderful experience.”

• Terrible quality bed linens and pillows.

“I'd stay here again, especially if I was attending something at the Convention Center. We stayed during a blogger convention and the lobby was filled with a strange collection of characters. There was no place left to sit in the lobby or the coffee bar. A hotel this close to the Convention Center should be prepared for overflow.”

• I loved the luxury, comfort and easy access.
• I don't like paying to park my vehicle. I also don't like being charged for valet when I self parked 75.00 for 3 days.

• Bed was very uncomfortable, had better shower at lower starred hotels.

“Location of the hotel was great. Beautiful lobby. Nice furniture. However, the bed was very uncomfortable. I didn't have a good night sleep, woke up with back ache and neck ache. Very bad. I had much better experience at other hotels such as Holiday Inn Express and Hyatt Summerfield. I would expect a much better accommodation from Hilton as a 4 star hotel. I won't stay there again in the future if I can help it.”

• I loved how close it was to 6th street and excellent restaurants! It is also only 30 mins away from shopping in San Marcos!
• This room was smaller than expected for a 4 star. Not many TV channels for leisure TV, and you have to pay $15day for internet.

“Excellent location and easy walking distance to great restaurants and bars. 30 Min drive to a fun day of shopping in San Marcos!”

• Comfortable bed in a spacious room.
• Paying to park & the pool area is not desirable. just a lot of concrete.

“It is clean/comfortable, but nothing really special about it's location/pool area. If you plan to stay in this area, we highly recommend staying at the Hyatt instead! The Hyatt is on the lake (and the walking/biking trail) with a pool looking at the lake & downtown skyline. They Hyatt is also located right next to the Bat bridge. Can also rent kayaks or go out on a lake cruise (highly recommend the bat cruise!) right at the hotel.”

• The facilities were clean and in beautiful shape.
• Paying for everything in the hotel (valet, workout room, some cable TV, internet etc).

“This hotel disappointed me. It looks great in the lobby, but the room is only an average size for a 4-star hotel. Currently, there is a lot of construction which does not stop on weekends and the hotel staff failed to warn us about this (7am jack hammering next door on Sat. and Sunday). Additionally, it seems that there is a charge for everything (valet, working out, some of the cable channels, internet usage etc.). Overall, this was more of a three star hotel with no frills unless you pay for them.”
