• I really liked the amenities from the LCD HDTV in the room and the suite style set up.
• I didn't like that our floor didn't house the ice maker.

“The SpringHill Suites by Marriot was truly excellent. Marriot hotel staff were very knowledgeable about the area and made very good suggestions about visiting the downtown Austin nite life. I was extremely pleased and impressed with every thing.”

• Very helpful and friendly staff.
• Hotel is near nightclub, very loud at night until 1 am.

“The appearance and amenities of the hotel were as expected. However, the location is not easy to access and is near a nightclub. Loud music and groups of people could be heard in my room until after 1 am. Not conducive to getting rest on a business trip.”

“Even the maintenance crew while riding on elevator were genuinely concerned about my stay. Terrific staff! One could take off the sign age and I'll bet I can tell when I am staying at a Marriott. Marriott just gets it! Thanks!”

• Good air conditioner, access to parking, quiet room.

“Location is a little tricky to get to the first time but after that we had no trouble. Staff at front desk was very helpful in guiding us there and in giving us a room that was close and quiet. Would have loved to had time to swim but hopefully will next time. Very nice hotel, good breakfast also.”

• We had trouble accessing the internet; the television was average; difficult to find hotel.

“My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay, the hotel was clean, comfortable bed, great shower, adequate space, excellent breakfast variety, small fridge and microwave came in handy. Our only minor complaints were difficulty finding the hotel, trouble connecting to the high-speed internet, and the television was average.”

“This is a very quiet hotel; all of the employees were nice and helpful. The sugar cookie that I was given when I checked in was warm and good. It set the mood. I found all of the facilities clean.”

• They have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on.
• No check in until 3:00 p.m.

“Our car was broken in to and we were robbed while we were staying at this hotel. Desk staff did not seem to care. This hotel has problems with security. Never staying here again.”

“Despite the fact that this is a smoke free hotel, our room stunk of smoke. This was because the person in the room below us was smoking out their window. My wife and I are both very allergic to smoke. The front desk refused to do anything to stop this person from smoking (they were highly skeptical it was even happening), and wouldn't move us to another room. Definitely one of the worst nights Ive spent in a hotel (or not spent, since we checked out very early). I've stayed in some crummy hotels over the years, but Ive never paid so much money to stay in a dump like this one.”

• It was very clean and the staff was very helpful.
• The address would not show up on gaps, it was very hard to find.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff was helpful when we called them because we could not find it. It has a wrong address. It is on an access road, but the address is the main road. I think it is the city of Austins fault, not the hotel.”

• Comfortable suite  clean.
• Restaurant has inadequate seating and the food was poor.

“The hotel overall is nice comfortable and clean. Some of the staff were outstanding and friendly others not so much (curt and rude). Access to the hotel from the expressway and side streets was challenging. The restaurant was not good we had to take our food to our room because of inadequate seating. The breakfast items were of generally poor quality and the serving dishes were usually near empty to empty one day no eggs or patty sausage. Doughnuts were actually cold not even room temp. The breakfast needs a lot of work.”

• The hotel was overpriced. I did not get good value, the hotel was not in the arboretum area at all, directions were inaccurate, and it was substandard.

“This is a great hotel with larger than normal rooms. Beds are very comfortable, and staff is very friendly. We stay here on a regular basis even though it is not the closest Springhill suites to our function. It is worth the drive.”

“Great suites, very family friendly and business traveler friendly! Excellent location as far as safety is concerned. A little off the beaten path through the usual Austin expressways (off of MOPAC freeway instead of the Interstate) but still easy to get to. I highly recommend staying here when in Austin!”

• Breakfast buffet was incredible. Great selection and very clean.
• Location was on access road so it was a little difficult to get to even though you can see it.

“Had a great time. Had little children so the microwave and fridge was a huge help. The separate rooms was a big benefit. The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. Breakfast was great.”

• The room was huge and the beds were wonderful!

“This was an excellent stay for us. Our room was so large with separate office space, kitchen and sitting area. The bathroom was also very large. The beds were amazing! I always have to request pillows and each bed had 4 and they were heavenly. The continental breakfast had tons of selections and the food was pretty good. . When we checked out they didn't even say thanks for you stay or anything. It was very strange.”

• I really liked the hallway portion of the room that separated the main room from the front door by quite a distance. Very low noise levels.
• The mini fridge did not keep the food I bought very cold.

“Rented this room for a romantic night with my fiancee. A mini vacation prior to our wedding. It was a very nice room with everything we could need inside it. We were left alone and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hotel which is unusual not to hear your neighbors every time they leave their room. The price was nice, the bed was comfortable. It met every expectation and then some.”

“Great hotel, unfortunately part of it was under renovation so the fumes were somewhat (very) strong from paint, carpet, etc, however, I guess I got used to it because it didn't bother me after awhile and the room I stayed in was "brand spanking re-need" so it was nice.”

• The continental breakfast was bountiful, healthy, and delicious.
• It's a nitpick, but the hotel was difficult to get to from Braker Lane.

• The staff and everyone at the hotel doesn't know what customer service is.

“I would definitely not recommend this hotel to others. They were extremely rude and charged my credit card for charges I did not make. They also refuse to contact me, after repeated attempts, to let me know what the charges were for and to discuss the customer service attitudes of the staff, including the Assistant General Manager.”

• I was greeted in a very warm manner. The room was spacious and clean. Hotel offered great free perks, i.e. breakfast and snacks.
• Their online directions involved a longer route than what we later discovered when we got there.
