• The beds were very comfortable and not broken down in the center as a lot of hotel mattresses are.
• The food in the lobby store was way over priced, $8.00 for a bagel and juice was too much.

“Very nice rooms and big comfortable beds. The pool, hot tub and exercise equipment were open at good times for all. The staff is very nice.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The coffee in the room was very good. The room was very clean.
• The breakfast was not very good.

• Comfortable beds and sheets, non-smoking facility.
• Walking noise from upstairs guests. Breakfast was
  too pricey to try.

“Although the beds and sheets were very comfortable, was disappointed that for the money, no breakfast was included, available for about $10 for continental. Too many other places to eat in the area. Other than nice beds, just a regular clean hotel.”

• I liked how clean the bathroom was - no mold.

“My weekend stay was great. The front desk staff was very helpful and attentive. I ask for a fridge to be placed in my room and it was brought there promptly. My floor was quiet even with my room being next to the elevator. I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony as well.”

• Access to hotel from airport via highway is challenging.

“For the business traveler to Austin, this hotel is convenient to downtown, the state capitol and the University of Texas. It has lots of parking, very nice rooms and a terrific staff.”

• Remarkably clean room and congenial staff.

• It was a good location.
• I found my overall experience disappointing.

“When we arrived there was a lot of people in the very small lobby waiting to speak to the only attendant on duty. There wasn't anywhere to sit and the entire room smelled like chlorine from the pool. When we finally got our key, the elevator was far too warm and combined with the chlorine smell it was enough to make you sick. The room was too warm as well and the bed wasn't as comfortable as other hotels in which we have stayed. Although the room was clean, it could have been much cleaner. My business frequently arranges for our business associates to stay at our local Courtyard and sincerely hope it isn't like our stay in Austin. I truly expected more from this hotel and was terribly disappointed.”

• It had a lot of amenities including pool and hot tub and a free paper in the morning.
• Over 1/4 of their rooms are smoking rooms, so if the hotel is at all busy it is difficult to get a nonsmoking room.

“The hotel is nice, they have a nice pool and hot tub. Make sure to specify a non-smoking room as it can be difficult to get them.”

• Very friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. Guests may reserve time on Internet-connected computer in hotel lobby.
• Hotel was on an interstate highway too far from the airport. Restaurant was not open in the evening.

“Clean accommodations and friendly staff. Location is better suited to travelers on the interstate highway than for those arriving or departing by air.”

• My wife and I were treated well, the room was excellent
• No negatives

“Had a fine room with king size bed.Staff was friendly.Shuttle to Austin airport was on time and driver was very friendly and helpful.We were well pleased.”

• The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were very clean. They even had a bunny made from folded towels on the sofa to greet us!
• Did not experience any negatives.

• One night the a/c was making a loud noise. Didn't sleep well.

• They put us in a SMOKING room! I hate cigarette smoke!

“We were extremely dissatisfied that the hotel was unable to put us in a non-smoking room. They room wreaked of cigarette smoke. Had we known it would be that way, we would have booked a hotel direct from someone else.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Not one negative experience with anyone there.
• The Jacuzzi was VERY chlorinated and pool was a little too warm, but minor compared to overall pleasant experience.

“The only problem I saw with this hotel was not actually their fault. The construction on the highway made their location for drive-by hotel shoppers hard to access.”

• Easy access off I35 - easy to find - easy to park.
• Tried to reserve a non smoking room but was not able to do so - the room was very smelly - so was I when I was done!

“Easy to find - Rooms are fairly large - everything worked in the room. Tried to reserve a non-smoking room and could not since order had not yet been received. Then when I arrived I was the last room to be filled and I could only get a smoking room. The clothes I hung in the cupboard there still smell of smoke today! Pool and Jacuzzi looked nice but never got time to try them. Lifts were slow in coming. For the price I paid I still consider it good value - ”

• The minute we walked in you knew it was very clean and you felt like you could take off your shoes and walk around without worrying. Very comfortable

“Great location ,easy access to room. Ask for non/smoking room and also King size bed.All our request were granted.And besides that called later and ask for ground floor room.All personnel were very frindly and ready to help you. Just wish I would have brought my swimming suit!!”

“I was very impressed with the quality of service when I checked into the hotel Friday night. I ran into some problems with putting a deposit on my credit card for future charges, and the hotel staff waived the deposit and me and my guest had a enjoyable stay. I will definitely be returning to the Courtyard Marriott for future stays.”
