• We were very pleased with the heated indoor pool and the hot breakfast that was included.
• The carpet in the room appeared old and dirty.

• Location.
• Rooms felt a bit stuffy, and beds had a humid smell.

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• The rooms were a little on the small side.

“We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We couldn't remember the name of a restaurant we had heard about to eat at, so the girl at the front desk called around until she found out for us. Also, the last day of our stay, we had car trouble and the manager offered to drive us to a parts store. The rooms were very nice and attractive. Also, the location of the hotel was perfect, only minutes from downtown and right next door to a movie theater and many restaurants.”

• The rooms were extremely clean, spacious and comfortable.
• The pool area was somewhat small and echoed so extremely loud.

“I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms in this hotel. Impeccably clean and great service. The room was extremely soundproof, so we were able to get a great night's sleep in a busy hotel.”

• The pillows were great.
• I would prefer an outdoor pool.

“Overall it was a nice place to stay. A little hard to find and I would prefer queen size beds but it was very clean, the pillows were great, and the staff was extremely nice.”

“Although situated outside of downtown Austin, it was only a short drive into the center of town. Also the arboretum is full of great places to eat and some fantastic hill country views.”

• The staff has the best attitude. They were always friendly and very helpful as has been my experience at most Marriott facilities.
• It was a little difficult to find, since I was not that familiar with area of Austin. However, it was worth the find, as it was convenient .

“Facilities were very pleasant and clean. Breakfast was quite extensive and very nice. The staff were the best part of the hotel. They were always very pleasant and helpful. They really attempted to make their guests welcomed and comfortable.”

• Close to many nice restaurants, shopping and the cinema.
• Breakfast left a little to be desired.

“Average amenities, but the staff do more than make up for any shortcomings the older building may have. Very convenient to shops, restaurants, bars, and the movie cinema.”

• Convenient to the arboretum, easy access to myopic and us 183.
• Rooms being remodeled = noise.

“The courtyard by Marriott arboretum was very convenient. It was across the street from restaurants and we could hop on myopic or us 183 to go downtown. Water pressure was adequate. We would have liked a little more counter space around the sink, though. Beds were comfortable.”

• The elevator was a bit slow.

• The staff was incredible!
• Not much.

“I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. We had a wonderful stay, and unusual weather. The staff was very accommodating and compensated for the winter blast of weather on Easter! They even lit a fire in the lobby for us, and allowed us to spend time with out company there. We had a great stay.”

• Clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice hotel staff and nice patio off of room.
• If you want to stay in downtown Austin, this is not the place to stay but it is a quick drive to downtown Austin and Mopac is easily accessible.

“This hotel is a good choice if you do not have to stay in downtown Austin. It is a 10 minute ride to downtown Austin and Mopac is easily accessible from the hotel parking lot. The hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating with all requests. They have a public internet access which is always a plus for me when I am traveling. The room was clean and there is a nice/clean patio that was connected to my room.”

• The people working there was so nice and friendly very helpful and informative on attractions in the area.
• The paint peeling on the deck was the only thing I seen that I didn't like.

“I strongly recommend this place to any one with children I am a foster parent to special need children we all had a great time and plan to come back again this was a birthday treat for one of my boys and the other one has already said that he wants to go back for his birthday so we are already planning it.”

• Not very much parking space in front of hotel.

“The rooms were very clean and nice. The staff was always willing to help with our needs. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. The hotel was in a great location just up the street from several restaurants and a multi screen movie theatre.”

• The market, free hot breakfast, indoor pool, location.
• Double beds? Kind of hard.

“We loved our stay and would totally go back. The indoor pool made it a great stay in February with our 10 and 7 year old. The market was a tiny closet with medicine and drinks and snacks. Just what we needed. There was fruit available when we arrived and our towels were folded like a dog. Kids loved that! The breakfast was amazing for a free breakfast! Hot eggs, biscuits, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, and a waffle station. This was perfect for our getaway with our family.”

• The free breakfast was absolutely perfect for our needs, and if it weren't for that I would have been even more disappointed.
• Location is terrible. It is at the intersection of 2 major roads and if you miss the exit, settle in for another 20 minutes of driving (in circles).

“I was disappointed, everything was smaller (pool, room, bathroom etc.) Then there's the location, it took us forever to find it. However, I must compliment them on employing English speaking personnel at the front desk.”

• Comfortable beds, excellent food, and helpful/friendly staff.

“I had an excellent stay. The staff was friend and very helpful, always greeting me on my way in or out. The bed was extremely comfortable - slept like a baby. They had really nice amenities and the breakfast buffet was very pleasing - large variety.”

“This hotel treated us like second class citizens because we used it. She wouldn¿t change our room and it had construction going on until 6:30 pm. I couldn¿t believe their attitude.”

• The whole place, outside the lobby, and the room could not have been cleaner.
• Parking was a little tight, but even then spaces were close.

“Every staff member we ran across, desk personnel, dining room attendants and the cleaning staff, were friendly and eager to make our stay pleasant. A really nice touch for our children was that the cleaning staff place a pair of towels that they custom fold into the shape of a bunny, and they even put little candies on it for the eyes and nose. (Found out later, they do this for all the rooms.) Our kids loved that, and the staff was happy to show us how they did it. Between the friendly staff, super clean and quiet rooms, you bet we'll stay here next time we are in the area. Ps, we came to this hotel after refusing two rooms at the Springhill suites in round rock TX that we'd reserved, every room we were shown at that Springhill smelled heavily of cleaning chemicals. But this courtyard was wonderful, a sure winner for a great stay.”

• Every staff member went "the extra mile" to do excellent work.
• The beds were a bit firm for me, but that's personal preference.

“If Marriott were looking for a hotel in their system that's "batting 1000", this is it. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional; the rooms and every aspect of the facility were spotless (even the parking area), and the room was quiet, even though the hotel is in a busy area of Austin. Breakfast was excellent. There are many places to stay in Austin, but this hotel will be at the top of my list next time I'm in town. (Minor point; it would've been nice to have some sort of automatic door opener at the front entry; hard to open the door with an armful of luggage.)”

• The room had been updated, and the bed had a nice comforter.
• The front desk clerk did not know if there was a breakfast buffet or not.

“I liked the hotel except that there was a kids soccer tournament that weekend (labor day) and the hotel was noisy and full of kids in the pool and on the computer. They were running in the hall at midnight. They charged me an extra ten dollars on my credit card without telling me first. The young girl at the front desk knew nothing. Noisy wall hung air conditioner.”

• Very clean, great breakfast, very relaxing atmosphere.
• Could barely here the TV from adjoining room.

“Location and access is a little confusing. A lot of great restaurants and shopping in area. Easy access to downtown and hill country. Wonderful part of town. Superb breakfast and service. Pool/hot tub area looked nice although we did not use it. Nice fitness room. Very relaxing deck addition off the pool. Worth every penny!!!!”

“The front desk staff provides friendly and above average service. You can tell they are focused on you and your needs. I travel to Austin often. This is one of the best hotels in the city. A hidden gem.”

• The beds were much too hard (and I like hard mattresses). I felt that the hotel was overpriced. And no view from our room ( the next door building).

• It was located near our architect's office.
• We expected complimentary breakfast, but it cost $10 each.

“Courtyard by Marriot is clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in and out was quick. The beds were comfortable. A full breakfast was available for $10/person. Complimentary fruit and coffee was available in the lobby.”

• Nice, clean and pleasant.
• TV was where only 1 person could see easily.

“Courtyard hotels are always a great place to stay and this one is no different. The only negative thing I saw, was the position of the TV. While laying in the bed, only one person can see the TV because it's on the side of the room.”

• Coffee maker in the room.
• Parking was a problem.

“This hotel was a quick stopover for us. We only were in the room for 8 hours total. It met our expectations. The hotel itself was a little tricky to get to in terms of the exits. The staff was friendly, the pool area looked clean, but parking was a problem.”

• We enjoyed the indoor pool and friendly desk attendant.
• We had to move from first room and spa was closed shortly after we checked in. The television was very small (19") for a nice hotel.

“It was a good location for shopping and easy to get around on highway 183 and 360. We were disappointed that the spa/hot-tub closed shortly after we checked in. We were told something was wrong with the chlorine and there didn't seem to be any maintenance available.”
