• Clean rooms.
• Open space in the middle leads to a very loud hotel.

“Overall the rooms are nice. It is about a 17 story hotel and I was on the 14th floor. The bar and restaurants located in this area and noise travels easily up this center section. I know they like the idea of looking down from whatever story and seeing a lot of activity, but it is hard to stay there when it feels like someone is shouting in your ear even though you are multiple stories on top of them.”

• Beautiful hotel with great staff.
• Many complaints about A/C temp being way too cold - and it was.

“Beautiful hotel located in downtown Austin on Town Lake. It rained the entire time so we didn't walk around much. Friendly, helpful staff and great entertainment in the lobby. The room was very clean and spacious. The only complaint was the temperature inside; not just at the hotel but everywhere we went-around 66 degrees. Lots of comments from others about that. We found that interesting considering the liberal leanings of Austin with solar panels everywhere. Other than that it was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again.”

• The Hyatt is clean, spacious, nice decor, friendly, great beds and has everything you need.
• The bathroom and shower was a bit small in our king room, but I am sure it's standard.

“The Hyatt brand always delivers the same upscale furniture and decor. It is consistent and you know what you are going to get every time you check-in to a Hyatt. Clean, spacious, with many places to hang out and relax outside of your room. Beds are comfy and room has all the amenities you would need for your stay. The bathrooms at this Hyatt may need an upgrade though, but that is only because I am really picky about bathrooms. All in all a nice, comfortable stay for a fabulous price.”

• The location and promt vallet.
• The rooms A/C unit was a motion sensor and would turn off and get hot.

“If we choose to stay here again I will be sure to have them turn off the motion sensor.”

• outside air had a strong smell of sulfur, very unpleasant

• Location.
• Poor room layout for working in room. Bad internet connection.

“My room was on the third floor near the elevator and was disturbed by noise from public areas (bar / lobby area and elevators) all night. Room poorly lit. Internet was unreliable and was a separate charge, as was parking increasing my cost by 20%.”

• If musicians are playing in the bar you can hear them all the way to the top floor.

• The lobby & bar were very nice, open & airy.
• The bed & pillows were very uncomfortable.

“First of all, the parking was very convenient. The staff was very nice & the lobby & bar area were very open & airy. The work out room & pool were right off the elevators & the pool had a great view of the lake. The room was modern, spacious & plush, but the bed & feather pillows were very uncomfortable.”

• The attractiveness of the rooms and comfort of the beds.
• Beds were full size instead of queen. Kinda different.

“I live and work in Austin, about five minutes from this hotel, but I was celebrating with friends, so we booked this place. We walked downtown to dinner and ended up seeing the bats, which in all 25 years of living in Austin, I'd never seen before. It was close to everything! And one of the nicest stays in Austin that you can get. The pool overlooks a beautiful view of downtown and the lake. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.”

• I didnt know the hotel was charging extra for valet parking until I checked out. We were tipping them well..

• Air conditioning in room didn't work well.

“This hotel has a great location, great bar, and good facilities. The air conditioner in our room didn't cool very well and made for a restless night. The food in the restaurant wasn't very well prepared and didn't have a lot of flavor.”

• Nice and cheap and bed bug free.

“The hotel was really nice and was a great deal. The hotel layout seems dated with the courtyard in the middle and all the rooms open inside, but the rooms are modern and very cute. The beds were not so comfortable I passed out since I had been at a wedding reception drinking wine all night, but my pregnant friend was very uncomfortable and had trouble sleeping.”

• Housekeeping staff obviously takes pride in their work!
• Wonder if there might have been free wireless in the lobby. $10 for 5 minutes of email time was a little steep.

“We have stayed at this Hyatt a number of times over the last 5 years. The recent updates to the rooms are very nice, keeping it at Hyatt standards. Great for UT parents visiting their college kids, or for any other stay in downtown Austin: business, romantic or otherwise.”

“Hotel really nice. Room was great! Staff very friendly and helpful. I traveled with a pet and they were very accomodating. Short walk or 5 dollar cab ride to 6th street bars and restaurants. Was a great stay for us!”

• View, amenities, service, food, and atmosphere.
• Charged for internet access.

“The rooms had the usual 4-star amenities like granite tops, flat-screen TV, however, it was the view from our room that put it over the top. We were given a balcony room that overlooked the water-way below and the Austin hills in the distance. The 16-story fast moving glass elevators, fine dining, beautiful architecture, and spacious lobby were nothing short of 4 star as well.”

  all extremely polite, courteous & professional.
• There was mold in my room because none of the windows opened up in any of the rooms, except the 8 rooms with balconies.

• I loved everything about this hotel. It was gorgeous.
• There was no refrigerator in the room.

“This hotel was so beautiful. It not only had amazing views and gorgeously kept grounds, but it was close to everything. I would love to stay here again, but it is just a little bit out of my price range. That is why I love priceline!”

• Excessive charge for parking in an open air parking lot with gate but no security.

“Overall a good, but $4.75 bottle of water and $12 charge for parking in an open lot so I can walk in the rain and cold make it one that is marginal for next trip.”

• The staff was exceptionally friendly, better than I have encountered in quite some time.
• Quite a bit of noise from the atrium does make it into the room, making daytime napping difficult.

“The staff at this hotel should be commended for their friendliness. Everyone I came across greeted me and it never seemed forced. This definitely made an impression. I will recommend the Hyatt to others and am sure I will visit again, too.”

• Staff was very helpful with directions. Hotel was very clean and in a good location downtown.
• The beds were too small for our family. We had a room with two beds and it was hard to sleep with two people in each bed.

“We enjoyed the hotel but do not know if we would come back. The beds were too small to share with another person. We did not sleep well. It was a beautiful, clean hotel in an excellent spot to stay downtown.”

• Very helpful with baggage, all staff very friendly and helpful.
• Location was a bit off the main drag and the view from the back room.

“This is a very nice, freshly updated hotel in the Hyatt standards of quality. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel was pet friendly. The location requires a bit of a walk or short taxi ride to main entrainment venues across the river on 4th to 6th streets.”

• Hotel was pretty and location over Town Lake was nice.

“The Hyatt is pretty and in a great location. However I really needed the internet and not only was it 9.99 per day but there was a glitch in the service. All the budget hotels offer WI FI. There is no reason this place could not.”
