• I loved the mini fridge that they brought upon request.
• Need more food on the menu.

“Everyone here was absolutely wonderful to my son and I. We were there for a doctors apt with my son's Autism doc and everyone was so nice! Thank you for making our stay so easy! These days it seem nothing is "easy" but this staff was amazing!”

• Well maintained building with clean pool/spa and dining/bar areas. Great position/scenic view.
• No complimentary cookies in room - my son's disappointment.

“Hyatt Regency hotels have not let me down once. This lived up to my expectations. Far enough away from hustle and bustle of nightlife to be peaceful but easily reachable if you wished to indulge. Spotlessly clean and excellent, friendly service.”

“This hotel is upscale and in a safe area, rooms are clean and comfortable and the pool was very relaxing. The food in the restaurant is very good.”

• The staff was extremely accommodating.
• The parking was too expensive, wireless, too.

“The room was lovely, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Wasn't the hotel's fault that Austin was hot enough to melt horseshoes or that I parked under a tree and the birds bombed my car.”

• Rooms were a little on the smallish side.

• On Town Lake, very convenient to Austin fun stuff.
• Had a hard time getting the room nice and frosty.

“Great location, close to the Bats, on Town Lake. Beds were comfortable, bar service was good, porter service was good. No complaints other than it was so hot in Austin that our room's AC had a hard time getting the temp into the frosty zone that I like.”

• This hotel is absolutely perfect in every way. It is our 3rd time staying there.
• We had rowdy neighbors the first night, but they moved us the next morning no questions asked.

“5 star all the way! Gorgeous view outside of your room, luxurious bedding, flat screen LCD, swanky furniture, marble countertops in bathroom, yummy toiletries, friendly, helpful staff and top of the line fitness center. Location is in the middle of everything great Austin has to offer: Town Lake, Bike/Jogging Trails (we brought tour mountain bikes and did a lot of riding around town), 6th Street, wide variety of restaurants and you can still see trees. The parking costs $11 a night or $17 for valet. Both were full on the weekend, so we parked quite far and walked, but cleared out on Monday. The best hotel in Austin!”

• It was the nicest hotel I had ever stayed in. It was by the lake. It was awesome.
• Nothing.

“Wonderful spa pool and hot tub had salt instead of chlorine. Relaxing room, down comforter and pillows, modern colors. Almost like a resort. This hotel is on the lake of Austin. There was boat rides. The breakfast was buffet with awesome food and wait staff. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I would love to go back ASAP.”

• The pool and exercise room were phenomenal - I was only there for one night, but made time for both.

“If you want the full Austin experience, this is the place to be. Located just off a walking trail that spans Lake Travis, you have the best of all worlds. The hotel had everything we were looking for on the grounds and surrounding areas. I don't think any other place could have exceeded my expectations the way this place did!”

• The bar area was comfortable with great service and style.
• The rooms did not have any art on the walls.

“The location of this hotel was awesome, with walking access and a great view to Downtown and Town Lake. The bar is huge and well designed to have an intimate drink or hang out with a group of friends. We also thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.”

• We loved the new renovations with the very attractive decor and the room had a beautiful view!
• They charged us a pet fee.

“This hotel was beautifully decorated and the location is perfect with the 12 mile hike and bike trail and water right there to enjoy. The staff was very friendly and the room and hotel was very clean and we loved the new gym that overlooks the water with great equipment! Such a fabulous experience, we would highly recommend and definitely visit again!”

• It was across the river from downtown, so it was not very convenient to walk.

“Great hotel with a lot of amenities. It is located on the lake with a running/biking path. It has a great pool with a lot of lounge chairs. Great workout facility! I would absolutely stay there again.”

• The view of downtown is lovely.
• The hot water was sparse and the amenities were lacking for 4-star. The cost for internet use was absurdly high.

“The Hyatt has undergone a nice renovation and the physical spaces are nice, however I was disappointed on many levels. The shower occasionally lacked hot water and the food was average at best. The staff at the hotel bar was rude to several of us when we stopped there late on Saturday night (after a wedding reception upstairs in the hotel) after selling it to the bride as "a great place to hang out after the reception so that people don't have to drive." They had the nerve to tell us that our group was too big and that we should go elsewhere. In addition, parking and internet usage (wireless and in the business center) were wildly expensive for a hotel that is supposed to offer 4-star amenities. This is really a 3-star hotel.”

• Quality of materials. Bedding. Big flat screen TV.
• Noisy. Event held ( wedding ) was super loud.

“Overall is was very nice. Good location. My only complaint was the noise from the wedding being held in the convention hall, super loud. I had the TV turned to maximum volume and could still here the wedding (people screaming, music, announcements over PA). I can recommend staying there only if there are no events being held at the same time.”

“I had a great time at the hotel, they were friendly and helped us with every request. I would most certainly recommend staying here and requesting the lake view ($30 upgrade charge). I had no complaints at all.”

• I loved the view of Lady Bird Lake.

“This hotel was beautiful. The guestroom was awesome. I would only want to stay here as a traveler. The staff was great, taxi service was excellent and the hotel was very clean. I was a self parker and I still was close to the hotel. Very safe atmosphere.”

• Still under construction, atrium makes it a bit loud.

“The Hyatt is a fairly easy walk over the bridge to downtown Austin. It's right across from where the bats launch, so if you have a room with the right position, you can watch that from far above. The hotel is in the process of an update, and the rooms seem to be finished with modern furnishings, flat screens, and a comfortable bed.”

• The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The view of the downtown skyline was breath taking.
• The room service was a little more pricy than most of the four star hotel.

“I would suggest this hotel to anyone. I had a very pleasant experience as a business traveler. There is no free parking here so keep in mind to add this expense in your traveling budget. I missed my vending machine for a quick snack, however, at this star level of hotel those are rarely offered. This hotel is very easily accessible and just seconds away from all the downtown fun. Its location on Town Lake offers beautiful views and entertainment.”

• They were remodeling, some mold in shower, only Pepsi products.

“The hotel is very nice it has a grand appearance and spacious interior (typical Hyatt) room was nicely appointed and clean. The staff was by far the best feature of the hotel, they were extremely pleasant and helpful.”

• Atrium style with no smoking allowed except outside.

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location for what we needed was great. Walking and biking distance to most destinations.
• We were on the 16th floor and it was pretty hot in the corridor area up there.

“This hotel is trying to catch up to the Hilton Austin with its decor. Its location is ideal for the Congress bat-watching scene and proximity to Zilker Park, but if you're into downtown's bars and restaurants, look back on the other side of the river.”

“We had a room that had a door to the next room. The people in the other room were extremely loud at 3 AM. Sound proofing needs to be upgraded somehow but otherwise we really liked the hotel.”

• The remodel was really nicely done.
• Not family friendly.

“Families with children beware. Within 5 minutes of arrival in our room, security was at our door with a complaint about the noise- our children were laughing and chasing each other in the room at 7pm on a Thursday night. We were reminded that "people want to sleep." I found the hotel staff to be snooty and unfriendly. And everything is charged extra from parking to internet, very annoying for a hotel in this price range. I've stayed at a LaQuinta and gotten free internet and parking.”
