• Gave me preferred status (gourmet coffee, papers) due to length of stay and provided printed locale directions.
• Only complaint was bathroom should have had halogen light or some type of fan to defog mirror after shower.

“This hotel was very attractive inside and out, with a staff that went above and beyond. When I arrived later than planned due to transportation, they opened the snack bar/gift shop so I could purchase something to eat. When I needed directions to my campaign office, they not only walked me through them, but printed them as well. They also upgraded me due to the length of my stay so I received gratis gourmet beverages and papers in my room each day. The lobby had a friendly wraparound bar and additional seating--low-key for a female traveling alone. The kidney-shaped indoor and outdoor pool meant I even got a swim on the last day when the weather turned chilly. Most importantly, the beds were oversized, and the pillows and comforters extra plush and sleep-inducing. A great stay and over-the-top staff! One caveat--restaurant was a little overpriced for breakfast--and the bathroom, for the scale of hotel, needed halogen lighting or a fan to defog the mirror after showering.”

• the room was beautiful, the mini bar was great, it was in the area we wanted. Overall it was a great experience.
• No dislikes.

• Clean, nice common areas. Good food in restaurant.
• Parking lot is a bit scary at night.

“This is a very nice, but slightly older property, that has been well cared for. The location is great right on the interstate. Service is always top notch, and I love the free wireless service. Being near the airport and the freeway, there can be a bit of noise, but as I am from the city, it does not bother me at all. I probably sleep better because of it. This is always my first choice in Austin.”

• Very big pool, good access location to highways and airport.
• Dirty toilet seat, pool was very cold, bath & sink water very hot.

“I was able to get coffee, juice, and a newspaper delivered free to the room everyday. The pool was huge but very, very cold. The bath/sink water was scolding hot and needed to be run for a few minutes even in the cold position. The toilet seat was dirty. But overall a good hotel for the price.”

• I did not like that the bath tub, looked old.

“The hotel was nice. I asked for a late check-out but housekeeping was not told so 3 different housekeepers came to the door. I had to call the front desk two times. I did not like that at all. Overall, my stay was great.”

• Could upgrade TV's and bath fixtures.

“Overall a very good experience although we didn't take advantage of all the amenities since we were in town to visit family. Room was nice and clean with the duvet type bedding (so much better then a polyester spread!!) Nice to have a little "Store" downstairs (in addition to the restaurant) but the prices were high ($4 for water). I wish I could have tried out the spa treatments - maybe next time. We would stay here again.”

• The staff was lovely.
• There was nothing that I actually disliked.

“The hotel is in a business district so is perfect for the business traveler or group. The room was clean enough and decorated well enough. I had one issue with the water in the room, that being that I had only hot water in the sink the night of the stay and only hot water in the shower the next morning. With some cajoling I was "taken care of" by the desk staff who was happy to accommodate.”

“Hotel was farther from the airport than expected. Kind of rundown I would have been upset if I had paid the full rate for that room. The room was freezing and the heat wouldn't come on so maintenance had to come fix it. The key was still in the minibar from the previous occupant so we had to have the staff come in and count the minibar. The washcloths were dirty looking and stained.”

• The extra touches were so nice, fresh fruit at front desk and in workout room, hot cider in lobby in am great workout facility, sauna and hot tub.

• Inviting lobby bar area with very attractive lighting effects.

“Checked in at desk and young male was very friendly until he looked in system and saw that my reservation was already paid in advance? He then took a "cooler" way of communicating. Lobby area was very attractive and inviting. Room was spacious, clean and felt welcoming. A bottle of water was on the desk with a $5 price tag hanging on it. The disappointment was realizing that although it is listed as an airport area hotel it is as close to Downtown as it is to the airport. Had to take a cab to airport at 5:00am since there is no van service at that time.”

• They had a fabulous heated pool. Kids had a blast. Complementary valet rocks.
• Internet access was not free.

“We were very pleased with the quality of the guest rooms. It was very family friendly. Kids could request a backpack full of games and books. They had pool toys, a sand box and a basket ball goal in the outside courtyard. We were worried about how we would entertain the kids, but that was no problem.”

• A little hard to get to the hotel at the intersection of I-35 and Hwy 71.

• No family restaurants close by; quite a ways from downtown.

“The omni south park is a beautiful hotel. The king sized bed was very comfortable, with fluffy synthetic down pillows, comforter, and duvet. The soaps, shampoo and conditioner, and lotion in the bathroom were lovely! The 24 hour indoor/outdoor pool was nice and warm, and a lot of fun for the whole family. We were disappointed in the incredible lack of water pressure in the shower. Also, there is Wi-Fi available in the guest rooms, but they don't have a LAN or Ethernet for those of us unlucky enough to not have wireless. They claim to offer web TV but I was unable to get it to work. They kindly offered to send someone up, but since it was almost 10:00, I declined. We'll definitely stay here again for the price we paid, though.”
