• Fabulously friendly and helpful staff; clean, nice room.
• There were no bellhops or valet staff at the entrance to help us with our luggage or park the car.

“We were pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly and when we asked for a baby crib to be brought to the room, it arrived in minutes. (We have waited hours at other hotels.) The room was comfortable, clean, and attractive. The lobby/courtyard area is very nice. We will recommend this hotel to friends and family.”

• The staff was amazing. Everyone said hello when you passed by.
• The blood Mary's in the bar were great but costly.

• Beautiful RICH building.
• Do not accommodate handicap.

“I have handicap parking because of knee problems - The group I was visiting had to put luggage in basement because rooms were not ready it was 9:30 pm at night when they got luggage. THEN, they would not let me use the elevator - I had to walk steps - I am barely able to walk on flat ground. And the young lady I was visiting had injured both ankles in a soccer match so her ankles were both aced. She had to walk the steps as well. This is very poor service. We had attended this event 2 other times and never have we been treated like this. We are not allowed to use the pool or workout areas either and we paid $209 a night for a room”

• This was an awesome place to stay!
• Hmmm, valet parking supervisor was an idiot!

“This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise, desk lady set us up with a king bed, on a night the place was hosting many company Christmas parties, the hotel was filled to near capacity. This sweet lady gave us a really nice room, my wife was absolutely blown away! Thank you so much!”

• I loved the workout room and sauna and the fact they are open 24hrs. Very nice facility.
• Convention/party goers were very noisy in lobby area.

“Very pleased with upscale feel and decor. Room amenities were good quality fabulously comfortable bedding. The location is ideal for strolling the nearby stores and restaurants.”

• Very convenient to the arboretum area of Austin. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, and freeways.
• Found a dirty Q-Tip on the floor of the room when we checked in.

• Very convenient location.
• Parking the car there seems to be safe, but we found some broken glass.

“The hotel had a really convenient location close to many restaurants and shops. It was clean, it did not offer free continental breakfast like others usually does, but it has a few restaurants and room service. We were a bit concerned about parking our car there because we found a broken window, as if they had a car broken into recently.”

“It seems like the staff at the main entrance only greeted you if you used their valet service. They didn't offer to take our bags as they did with the valet customers. The room was clean and the bathroom was well stocked with towels. The wall behind the bed had several drywall anchor holes. One of the lamp shades had a large burn mark on it. Making special requests ahead of time are pointless. We requested a crib, two days before our stay, and when we inquired about it at the front desk; they said they had no record of the request. Our crib, which was actually a play pen, didn't arrive at our room for about an hour and a half after we arrived. The service is equivalent to that of a 2-star hotel.”

• Very clean, tastefully decorated room with high quality/highly comfortable bed and linens.
• No in-room refrigerator-even with phone request.

“For us, the hotel was perfect. It provided a safe atmosphere with easy access to the freeway we needed. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable in regard to the beds and linens.”

• Location of hotel near to shopping and dining is great.
• Charge for Internet access. Most travelers today get free internet access even in lower rated hotels.

“We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We paid less than others attending the same wedding from out of town and I would dare to say ours was probably nicer. The fitness room and pool area was great; towels, apples, and water provided. We were impressed by this hotel. It was also in a beautiful area of Austin, TX.”

• A huge balcony looking down into the interior of the hotel and it's elaborate Mother's Day setup.
• Concierge did not seem to be full service - kind of botched flower delivery.

“The staff is extremely courteous and meets most demands and requests very efficiently. The pool and workout facilities are very clean, convenient, and comfortable. Apples and a generous supply of clean, fluffy towels were appreciated following early morning workouts. The concierge may not meet your expectations, but genuinely seemed to be trying.”

• The reservation people were friendly and helpful. We were allowed to spend the second night in the same rooms.
• I was surprised that the hotel lobby remained quiet on a Saturday night. Few people in the bars or restaurant.

“The location is great for shopping and for eating. La Madeline's and Macaroni Grill are nearby. Very clean and attractive. No noise at all during the night. Easily accessible on the freeway.”

• It was clean and in a beautiful area of Austin.
• Because of the atrium design of the hotel, it was very noisy in the night.

“The hotel was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was convenient and attractive. The only downside is that due to the indoor atrium design of the hotel, the hotel was incredibly noisy. I was woken up in the middle of the night several times by other noisy guests.”

• The entire staff was extremely friendly, they didn't make me feel like a second class customer.
• I wasn't thrilled about the view overlooking the parking garage roof.

• Bed was comfortable and room was quiet.
• Reserved parking had only three cars in four rows of parking up close to hotel and regular parking quests had to walk past the empty spaces in 100 deg.

“Hotel needs to get patrons into dining room by use of specials. Nobody like to go out in 100 degree temp to eat but hotel dining was completely empty. Give guests some incentives to eat there and other guests will be attracted easier. I do consulting an o”

“Very nice hotel with the friendliest staff I've ever experienced. The room was nice and I felt comfortable. The only disappointment was the dinner I had at the restaurant. The pork chop was so salty I could not eat it and the side dish wasn't prepared very well.”

“I recommend this hotel. It is not in walking distance of the downtown area, but the Arboretum shopping center (adjacent to the hotel) leaves very little to be desired (shopping, dining). Downtown is a mere 10 minute drive away.”

“While this hotel is in the middle of renovations, it is still a comfortable and attractive place to stay. The indoor and outdoor pools are especially pleasing. Be sure to keep your drapes closed in the room; all windows open in on a central, indoor atrium.”

• Beautiful, but under construction.
• Construction woke us up and did not allow us to nap during the day.

“Awesome hotel but was constructing something in the atrium (middle) of the hotel. It was loud and kept us from napping during the day. Construction began at 7:00 AM and was very loud. It was still very clean and nice and I would recommend it when construction is complete.”

• Worst bed, pillows and blanket I have experienced in an American hotel, much less a 3 or 4 star.

“Sent letter to manager regarding king-size bed. I woke up 5 or 6 times. pillows were horrible, too small and too big (mushy).”
