“The hotel was wonderful. Check-in was so fast and simple. The room was clean and beautiful. The coffee and breakfast was really good, they could of used some other source of protein (like bacon or sausage). The lobby was always clean and nice looking. The staff was very friendly and worked hard.” Nov 24, 2008 by
Elizabeth Ferriby from Corpus Christi,TX
“The overall hotel was fine. No where did i see proper directions to arrive at this hotel. It was difficult to get to if you didn't know how to get there in advance. The room smelled awful. I purchased some room spray, but that didn't even mask the smell.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Kathryn from Longview, TX
“I was originally apprehensive about staying at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Staff was super friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. Even though there was only exterior door access to the room I never felt that my vehicle or any of us traveling were in any danger. Yes, it was a little bit further from the Guadalupe River and the waterpark than the hotel I stayed at last year. The continental breakfast was excellent and even had the Texas shaped do it yourself waffles like all the Comfort Inn Suites offer. I would definitely stay there again.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Rebekah from Houston, TX
“The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were great. Very clean and extra towels. Only a few miles to the Outlet Mall. I would stay there again.” Jun 4, 2008 by

“Hotel was good but the only light in Bathroom was a heat light, not good for summer in Centex.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Branscomb from Houston, Texas
“Horrible! Large green booger wiped on bathroom door. How could they have not seen this when cleaning the room. Frosting or some food substance on comforter. Moist grime on carpet. Foul, foul odor like a gym room shower in room. Smell was very strong! Hair in bathtub, sink, and ice container. Not a lot of hair, but some strangers hair nonetheless. Attempted to call before I arrived and no one would answer the phone 2 out of 3 attempts. When I arrived the person at the desk was on a personal call. She walked away to finish it when I came to the desk. I left him my business card and almost a week later he has never called me. I would rather sleep in my car for one night than spend money for this type of service. In the morning, the staff were polite and professional. The most upsetting thing was the non-reaction of the management, which explains everything else.” Mar 19, 2008 by

“Room was filthy! Very large green booger wiped on bathroom door. Super NASTY. How did the cleaners not see that? Terrible locker room smell. After an hour the smell eased. I walked outside and came back in and the smell was still there. I had just got used to it, it did not go away. Hair in bathtub, sink, and container for ice. Moist grimy feel on carpet. Ice machine didn't work on 2nd floor where I was. I attempted to call before I arrived and no one would answer the phone. One time I allowed the phone to ring until it stopped. I kept trying, then the desk answered. She told me she was busy and alone. When I arrived she was on the other line with a personal call her friends (some he/she said conversation). I just stood there and she looked at me and walked into the back to finish conversation. About 2 min she came back out. She may have JUST made that call, but I was not happy because I had been trying to call for hours. He was not in at the time. I left my business card with all my numbers and email address. I asked the lady at the desk, who was very professional and nice this time, to have him call me. I told her I was very unhappy and needed to speak with him.” Dec 4, 2007 by
David from Frisco, TX
“Clean comfortable room. Friendly staff. Only problem was being located on the service road of I-35. Coming back we had to go under the highway go down a ways and make a u-turn back under the highway to get there. Other than that we would have no problem staying there again.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Debra from Houston, TX
“Good hotel value, close to outlet mall, good breakfast.” Oct 22, 2007 by
Ron from Garland, TX
“Paid an extra $30 dollars per night to upgrade. Room was only adequate. Would hate to see a room that had not been updated. Friendly staff. Would not stay here again.” Sep 19, 2007 by
Jack from College Station, TX
“This is a basic, convenient and clean motel.” Aug 28, 2007 by
Lanita from Wellington, TX
“The Comfort Inn was clean, attractive, and comfortable. The help was courteous. The only draw back was that due to the one way access roads, if you left the motel to go even one block, it was necessary to go under Interstate 35 twice to circle back to the motel.” Jul 18, 2007 by
Ana from Houston, TX
“Checking in was a breeze. The room was quite nice, clean, and somewhat updated. The bathroom, was ok, looked old but clean, and we had plenty of towels. The tub was not safe. The strips on the bottom had come partially loose, so it was slippery while showering. It also had moldy places. Check out was a little annoying because the person behind the counter had a bit of trouble printing my receipt. All being said it was ok for a one night stay.” Jul 15, 2007 by
Millie from San Angelo, TX
“Overall, it was satisfactory and met the needs we needed. From where we needed to go and come from (New Braunsfels) the location was not as convenient as I would have liked. We had to go off the service road for about a mile or so then turn around and come back.” Jun 25, 2007 by
Meliisa from The Woodlands, TX
“Overall this was a good hotel and I would recommend it for a stay in this area. One thing that stood out was that the breakfast was over at 9:30. My teenagers had a hard time getting to the breakfast earlier and we arrived at 9:20 along with some other guests with teenagers. ALL the food was gone and so they were going to make do with some toast. The hotel manager came along and with out us asking put out things to make waffles and fresh fruit, milk and juice. I have been to hotels that you were just out of luck if it was close to or past the time that it should be closed. We really appreciated it and made it easier for us to carry on for the rest of the morning.” May 24, 2007 by
Donna from Kingwood, TX
“This hotel should be considered a 1 star hotel. I have stayed at much nicer 1 star hotels in the past.” Apr 10, 2007 by
Kathy from Little Elm, TX
“For the price the hotel was fine nothing great but we did not go for the room.” Nov 23, 2006 by
Arturo from Mission, TX
“As I told you in my last e mail, the service was really bad, the door knob was not working, I didn¿t sleep the whole night because the door cant be locked, the person at the front desk told me that he can't do anything, he just told me that he is the front desk man, not the maintenance in shift, I request a room change and he just told me that there is not vacancy, that if I want I can leave the hotel, he didn't make any kind of effort trying to solve the problem, that is not the kind of service that I was expecting, I am totally disagree with the service and charges received.” Nov 16, 2006 by
Deborah from Seabrook, TX
“As we say in Texas, ¿fair to midland, partly cloudy to Odessa!". After the issues with the rooms, we were given 3 sets of keys to check out rooms on our own! I suggested that I felt I should be compensated some way for the inconvenience. At first I was put off. The next morning I called the front desk about same. Then I went to front desk about same and was told they would send me a $20.00 coupon to use towards future stays! You'd think they were kidding, but they weren't. Alas they offered me an additional night free of charge. I stayed and finished up some business. Ultimately, they were kind enough, but there was too little help the night of check in with the room problems.” Nov 15, 2006 by
Elliott from Arlington, TX
“I liked the location of the motel. The location was excellent for dining out, shopping, and close to the college. The room was very clean, had plenty of towels, and the room was very spacious. The breakfast was excellent too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.” Oct 1, 2006 by
Mike from Charlottesville, VA
“Worst hotel I ever stayed at. I of course will not stay at the hotel again. Rudest desk person I ever met - all I asked for was a receipt for my stay and he not only told me no but #@!%^& no! Also it's a filthy run down stink hole.” Sep 12, 2006 by
Tami from Troup, TX
“The front desk staff was friendly and prompt in getting me checked in. My experience was adequate for the purpose of my visit. Not an upscale experience in the least; however, clean and comfortable.” Jul 7, 2006 by
Alana from The Woodlands, TX
“I thought it was a nice, no-frills motel. They did run out of coffee and food before the complimentary breakfast time was over, but overall, it was clean and well-maintained.” Mar 28, 2006 by
Holli from Vidor, TX
“The hotel stay was fine. Nothing to rave about but adequate. The hotel lounge is not open Friday and Saturday nights which struck me as odd and disappointed. We were satisfied with the overall stay, though.” Mar 4, 2006 by
Thomas from Richland Hills, TX
“We chose this hotel for price and the fact that it had two queen size beds. Everything else was a plus. Room was clean and breakfast bar was good. Make your own Texas shaped waffles was fun for my 8 year old son and myself.” Mar 2, 2006 by
Nova from Las Cruces, NM
“Typical college town lower end hotel. Rates were I think excessive. All hotel rates in the San Marcos area were excessive for the lower quality hotels.”
