• For the most part, it was clean. On the last day, the toilet flushed slowly.
• I am a traveler that does not need many extras to be comfortable.

• Location.
• Sheets kept falling off the bed during sleep, bed not comfortable, staff not helpful.

“The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets kept falling off all night. The front desk was not helpful when asked for a real glass, rather than plastic for our room. Very disappointed.”

• The front desk staff was excellent and efficient. Close to Riverwalk and close to bus to Sea World.
• No problems, everything was great.

• Great staff! Very accommodating answered all my questions.
• Parking fees of $18-20 night are too high!

“The staff at this hotel is exceptional. They helped me with any question I had, even offering to give me directions every time I headed out the door. Even though I had to pay $20 per night for valet parking, my car was at the door within minutes of me calling for it. The free breakfast was great - especially the Texas pancakes. Nice pool and hot tub. I will stay here again! Not more than 10 minutes from everything: the zoo, the Quarry shops, the airport. The River center Mall is across the street.”

“If you have to meet downtown this hotel is convenient; however, if your business is not directly downtown then the parking charges are outrageous. I only used the lot from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (which at that time is mostly empty) but had to pay 23.00 a day for parking.”

“Stayed two days, the maid did not come to clean room until 6:00 pm, so we opted not to have her clean. The hot tub was broke; the pool was heated and very nice. The breakfast was good and overall the hotel is in a great location.”

• For the location the price was better than others closer to the river walk.
• Denny's sign in the window & union station train whistle at night.

“First time at La Quinta inn in San Antonio. We normally stay right on the river walk. This time though we were on a budget and it fit the bill at the right time. Not on the river walk but very close. One block I believe.”

• Very affordable for its location, very pleasant and enjoyable to the max. Best price for the money.
• Breakfast times should be extended and were overcrowded.

“Simply the best for your money. Its location for the price is phenomenal Very clean and immaculate. We had no idea how close it was to the River walk. We figured it was 2-3 blocks away at best, almost thought it was more like 4 or 5 blocks away. But it was literally a 3-5 minute walk from the front door. Just had to go around one corner and you were there. By far this will be the Hotel I stay at when I come to town when I am looking for a nice getaway on a budget, even just as a regular vacation.”

• The front desk person was rude. I ask him a question and I got no reply from him.

“Need to improve on having friendly employees that are able to make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. I did not wanted to even check in due to the rude greeting arrival at time of check in. That was my only bad experience with him that could have ruined my stay but I learn to ignore people like him. Always being negative (He need to watch the Secret) and learn from it. I think he is in the wrong profession if you ask me.”

• The lobby was very nice.
• We ordered room service at 5pm, and hotel staff called at midnight to ask if we wanted to charge it to the room.

“I'd probably stay here again, now that they took care of the room service problem.”

• I liked the location most of all -near everything I needed also the hotel was clean and comfortable nice view also.
• The parking fee I did not like the fee to park my car - 16.00 a night.

“Over all I enjoyed my stay. The star quality of the hotel is greater than 2.5 rating. There was a refrigerator in the room and free cable and internet access. The room was very clean the bed comfy and a nice view. Will refer it and I will stay there on my next visit.”

• I thought the $20 parking fee way a bit high.

“This hotel was very clean and nice. It is new within the last year. The location to the river walk was perfect. The pool area was nice, and the pool was warm for the kids. We would love to stay here again. They served a complimentary breakfast daily, which was really great!”

• Staff not very helpful - with the exception of housekeeping.

“Pretty good hotel for the location. The breakfast was really good and they had several options. the staff was not very helpful nor all that friendly. We had a non-smoking room with ash trays and it was the last room on the hall that was a smoking hall. Well, it appeared and smelled that way. our hallway stunk but our room did not.”

• The location is awesome a hundred steps from the river walk and a few blocks from the Alamo.
• We liked everything about the hotel.

“The hotel is in a great location (close to Riverwalk and Alamo and Convention Center, etc.), the hotel staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and pretty (equipped with microwave and refrigerator), and the pool/hot tub are nice. They serve a free hot breakfast every morning. We had a great experience at this hotel. There are tons of wonderful restaurants within walking distance and a great mall across the street. It wasn't necessary to rent a car since we were close to everything. We got a taxi to go to Sea World, but we easily walked to everything else we did in our 5 day vacation.”

“The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We were able to go around downtown without having to move our car the whole weekend which was nice. There were many events to do around the riverwalk including, shopping, a comedy club, bars, movies, the Alamo, and of course the boat ride.”

• Got stuck in a smoking room, the smell was overwhelming, they need to add to improve on this.

“Ran into a problems with the parking on Saturday night. They do not have enough parking spaces to for all hotel rooms. Thus, several persons were asked to park a block away and walk back to the hotel.”

• Hotel and valet staff was accommodating.
• Self parking full.

“When we arrived at the hotel, the self parking lot was closed because it was full. We pulled in front of the hotel to check in as was told that we were assigned a smoking room with 2 double beds because it was booked on line. We were a little concerned with the smoking room. However, the hotel staff member told us that we can check-in later to see if non-smoking rooms open up. We did some sight seeing and came back to check in. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel staff remembered us during her busy day and assigned a non-smoking, king bedroom for us. Also, since the self-parking lot was full, our remaining choice was the valet option -- which was fine, but I think the extra cost for some families might be an issue. The complementary breakfast line past 10am can go on for miles, so one suggestion is to go early for breakfast!!”
