• Good location for what we needed which was a hotel to sleep in for 5 hours and go back to airport.
• There was a large fan that would turn on/off that had a bit of a rumble. We did not complain because it was already midnight and we had to be up by 5.

“Great property, especially for the price we paid when we named our own price. Parking was a little tight. Hotel is tucked behind the Courtyard. If you use Marriott hotels on a regular basis you learn they cluster them together.”

• Staff was very friendly. Microwave and mini fridge in room.
• The layout of the room was awkward, bed was uncomfortable, smelled funny.

“It was okay but it was dingy and smelled weird each time we came in. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. There was only a night stand on one side of the bed. The closet door wouldn't shut properly. Layout of whole suite was cramped.”

“My overall experience was excellent. The rooms were very clean and staff was extremely helpful. One tip, get to the hotel before 10 pm. The parking spaces are very limited and we had to park far away from the hotel entrance.”

• Excessively small bathroom/ small room.

“It was not what I expected, but it was not terrible. The staff was exceptionally nice. However, it was far closer to a bare bones economy hotel (size and amenities) except for a nicer looking decor. I had not previously stayed at one of these hotels. Getting up and down on the one elevator was very trying because the hotel was extremely crowded and has 5 stories.”

• The staff was genuine. Good sense of humor yet professional.
• A little awkward to find; off the street, behind other buildings.

“A pleasant nights stay. With a friendly, helpful staff that wasn't full of themselves. A much better than average continental breakfast complemented comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. Well recommended for the business or overnight leisure travelers. Have nice enough amenities to accommodate longer stays as well, including a Jacuzzi and pool.”

• The elevator was a bit annoying. There were young children running in the halls.

“The room was a bit small (one king). We felt very safe and found the parking very adequate. The location is excellent, very centrally located. We didn't spend much time in the room but it was cool and comfortable.”

• The staff was really friendly. Easy to get to. Manager cooked waffles for breakfast for guests.
• It was hard to get to sea world from the hotel.

“This was an excellent trip. They provide detailed maps and drew out directions for us. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The manager was cooking waffles for us Saturday morning for breakfast. The swimming pool was open early and stayed open till 11pm. There was a 24-hour work out room. Excellent experience.”

• The cleaning part of the hotel was awesome.
• The fact that the hotel parking was always full, in general needed more parking it was to small.

“The hotel was very clean thanks to the staff that attended it. The staff was very friendly and professional and the fact that the hotel had everything I needed like the ironing and blow dryer that was cool. The only thing I would change of the hotel would be the parking lot it was not spacious but other than that it was nice.”

• The room decor was simple yet sophisticated.
• The construction and access roads made getting to the hotel difficult at times.

“I was overall pleased with the quality of this hotel. The room was spacious and adequately furnished. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I also enjoyed the included breakfast each morning. Free parking was also a positive aspect of this facility. The only outstanding downside which the hotel itself did not directly affect--was that local construction sometimes made driving to and from the hotel difficult. In general, this Fairfield Inn was nicer than ones in which I have previously stayed.”

• The breakfast was free and outstanding. The Texas shaped waffle was worth a return trip alone.
• The location was just okay. The hotel was set behind another hotel which was behind a restaurant.

“The rooms and staff were wonderful, as well as the indoor pool. The free breakfast was such a plus, not just dough nuts and juice. Breakfast was a wide choice of many morning favorites, but the best treat was the Texas shaped, freshly-made waffles.”

• Rooms smelled funny & didn't have a bathtub; only common floor for toilet shower.

“No review/ only comment: as a traveler with 4 guests, we ended up with a king size bed. I do not remember requesting a king, but can automatically assign 2 doubles for guests with 2 people staying. We were very disappointed with the king size bed accommodations w/ 4 people in our room, were moved on the last night, but not good sleeping arrangements the 1st 2 nights.”

• The alarms went off for 2 hours from 11 pm to 1 am.

“Over all it was good. But I had a long day and was very tired when the smoke alarms on our floor kept going off. I called the front desk and could not reach anyone. It was a fire or any thing. They just would randomly go off and only beep once or twice. It was very loud.”

• My boyfriend and I were extremely impressed with the staff and the hotel.
• The only thing I would have changed is having a full breakfast with eggs, potatoes, etc.

• Clean, decent. Good location once you got the hang of the streets around there.
• The location is a little tricky if you don't know the area- but ultimately, a good location.

“The Fairfield Inn off 410 in San Antonio is a clean, neat location, very quiet rooms with plentiful parking. (We could fit a moving van easily.) The travel corridors are a little confusing at first (although we used to live there, so figured it out)- but actually, access out of town, to freeways, the airport, the major malls and of course, the River walk, was actually quite convenient and quick. A good "passing through" location, or central spot for taking care of errands and such. Thumbs up.”

• Didn't accept pets.

“Didn't allow small pets. This was unacceptable for my needs. My 3 Miniature Dachshunds are crate trained and have stayed in many hotel rooms across this country. I have never run into the problem of a hotel not allowing me to have my crated Dachshunds stay with us until I went to San Antonio, Texas for a family trip to Sea World. This was a horrible experience I had to get another hotel room from another chain.”

• Manager who offered water due to no coke machine, no ice.
• Remodel has shut down ice, coke! unacceptable!

“Hotel was nice. Remodel was too invasive of customers though. Could have easily been fixed. Manager offered free water from her ice chest at 2:30 am because there was no ice in the hotel! and no coke machine! Ridiculous.”

“Although the hotel is at a very convenient location, the hotel is converting to a Marriott property and stills needs considerable work. For example, the pool and 5th floors are closed. However, the staff is very accommodating and this hotel should be a good option in the near future.”

• The staff at the front desk, Kenneth is friendly. The spa is nice.
• I would prefer a two double bed instead of one kind size bed, but they were not able to find one for me.
