- It was located right on the Riverwalk.
- We were not informed that it was going to cost 23 dollars a day to park.

- I loved the location on the River Walk in San Antonio. The exercise room was spectacular.
- The double bed was too small - upgrade to queens.
“This hotel is one of the most convenient to the River Walk in San Antonio. Everything is right there. Parking is high, but it is high anywhere in the area. The only complaint we had was that the double beds were too small - queens would be much better.”

- The hotel was located perfectly on the Riverwalk and the hotel was beautiful.
- Housekeeping left my room askew.
“My family enjoyed our stay, our room was beautiful (my 6 year old son loved the floor to ceiling window). We all enjoyed the pool and pool area. The view from roof top at night was breathtaking.”

- Pizza man was not allowed to deliver directly to room.
“Overall was a wonderful stay for us on our honeymoon. The hotel staff was more than glad to put us up in a room overlooking the Alamo. It was a beautiful view. Thank you Hyatt Regency!”

- The service is beyond compare. The restaurant menu was limited, but the food was excellent. Great location central to everything.
- We enjoyed everything about it.
“The hotel is on the River walk across the plaza from the Alamo, across the street from the Buckhorn saloon & 2 doors down from the Rain Forest Cafe (a must do for families with young children). You can't beat the location. The rooms are small but comfortable, the service is excellent. We arrived 2 hours before our check-in time & there was no problem getting into our room.”

- The bed. Beds make or break hotels for me. So far, Sofitel Hotel in New York has by far the most comfortable bed. Second, Downtown Miami Hyatt.
- That there were no windows viewable in the bedroom.

- Service was excellent, staff was helpful and friendly.
- Most 4 star hotels offer complimentary hotel coffee in the lobby, At the price the Hyatt charges that should be standard.
“Hyatt is known for its attention to service, The Hyatt Regency San Antonio delivers that same quality of service you expect. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The earth tones are warm and give you the feeling that your in a private home rather then a hotel room. The pool and gym is smartly located on the roof top area as not to disturb guest and allows the guest to tan, workout or cool off in the pool. The only issue I personally had was for the money that Hyatt charges, they should provide complimentary coffee and water in the lobby.”

- Staff was very helpful, friendly, to us and our child. Very helpful with directions to places we wanted to visit. Very good experience with the staff.
- View, and on our second night there the beds were not changed they were just made up.
“Overall location to all we wanted was great. Staff was great. Would have preferred a better view. I think a mini fridge to hold things like medicine would have been nice and a microwave in the room. Most 3 star are below will have mini fridges and microwaves. It may have just been the room we were in. Having bed linens changed everyday would have been nice also.”

- It is modern, clean, and comfortable. The location is the ideal and the staff are extremely helpful. The pool and fitness center are a great plus!
- Expensive! Great room but everything else is costly. Not even free coffee!
“This hotel is overall a really great stay. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. There is a pool and bar on the roof as well as a fitness center that you will use more than you would think! The staff is very helpful with directions and things to do. The location is awesome! Walk right onto the River Walk out of the hotel. Downsides: Don't bother going to the hotel spa. The staff is rude and charged me $50 just to cut my cuticles on my toes and paint them- no massage or filing. Everything is expensive at this hotel. They don't even give you coffee for your room and charge you an extra $1.50 for a Starbucks you could get around the corner. So bring some coffee and a banana for those on a budget. Don't park at the hotel. You can park around the block for $7 and you won't need you car much unless you are going to Sea World. They charge $25 a day. Also- we never saw anyone eating at the restaurant except for their expensive brunch.”

- Rooms were very small for a family.
“Hotel was very nice, but room was a bit small for a family of 5, 3 young kids. Although we didn't spend much time in the room, while we were there, we were tripping over each other. I asked about an upgrade to a family size room or jr suite, but that particular desk person was not very accommodating. Overall enjoyable trip.”

- Maid service failed to clean the room one day, but we had left the privacy sign on the door until around noon.

- The ground floor was very elegant.
- Customer service was very poor.
“Poor customer service. I paid for a double bed with river view and they gave me a king bed with river view. Then tried to tell me that they don't validate the request because I only had 2 guests. After much disagreement and talking to the manager I ended up with a double bed and no river view. They did not provide enough towels. You are charged for every little item and the prices were ridiculous. The location was excellent. Very close to all of the sites and restaurants. The room was comfortable. For the price I thought that they should have an upgraded TV and free internet at least. Some kind of breakfast would have been nice too. Valet parking was convenient but expensive and it took 45 minutes to get the car. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if the customer service would have been better.”

“This hotel is a great choice. The location is right on the river walk and nearby all the tourist locations. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms are clean. Only negatives we had: we were in a room that could connect to the one next door and the kids in the other room got loud. Also, we had requested two beds and got one king. All the other good points about the hotel easily made up for this. Temperature controls in the room. The concierge and front desk were very helpful and had positive attitudes. I would recommend to anyone.”

- Front desk tried to screw us out of our two bed reservation.

You also have to pay around $11 per day for wireless access. The hotel is supposed to be nonsmoking. When I arrive my room had been smoked in. The room had been deodorized to try to cover up the smell. I called the front desk and they told me they would send up an air purifier but since the hotel was busy it would take awhile to get it there. A Walgreen personal humidifier was brought up and it was dry. I took it to the front desk and told them it was a humidifier and not an air purifier. They were rude and told me that was probably all they had. They told me they would send someone up to spray the room. So I woke up the next morning with a sinus headache and swollen eyes. I was not happy and can't believe that the cleaning staff did not report that the room had been smoked in and clean the room correctly. I was very disappointed.”

- Convenience of the location.
- The room was dirty, staff was rude, they moved us, AC was not working.
“We expected to stay in a great hotel instead we found a room that had not been cleaned properly, staff that was not understanding, and problems with the AC. The location was great and that's about it!”

- Location and nice rooms.
- At 9 am housekeeping knocked on every door up and down the hall.
“Great location for Riverwalk. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was vacation and housekeeping knocked on every door and calling housekeeping at 9am. I was hoping to sleep in but after hearing "housekeeping" about 20 times up and down the hall I gave up sleeping in.”

- Hotel makes false claims on charges.
“The hotel was excellent overall. All seemed great until I checked out. Hotel charged for opening their mini fridge! But other than this, I would recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, clean, perfect location. Small pool.”

- They put me in a room with a Murphy bed.
“Generally typical Hyatt. Clean, small restaurant menu. Friendly staff. Most extraordinary aspect was the location - right atop the river which ran through it on the lowest level which was viewable from different places in the hotel.”
