• Cozy, welcome cookies, cozy, great restaurant, bar and
  room service.

“They welcomed us with a chocolate chip cookie, the room was very cozy, the beds had down feather comforters, the
puck coffee tasted great, the restaurant had a buffet breakfast and a menu and you can have breakfast delivered to your room. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. (pardon my English)”

• Would have preferred queen beds instead of doubles.

“This hotel is a very average airport hotel that is getting long in the tooth. Pillows hard as a rock. Less expensive and newer alternatives are near by.”

• Beds and bedding were first rate and very comfortable.
• Front desk clerk was snooty and acted as though he was doing us a favor when checking us in.

“Older hotel, with a somewhat elegant old-timely feel to it. Very nice courtyard. Room was clean and comfortable, with excellent quality beds. Bathroom was quite small, especially for a 3.5 star hotel. Our room was quiet, despite facing the courtyard area. We had two meals in the hotel restaurant. Evening meal was very good, in fact better than expected. Breakfast buffet was just okay, but overpriced, wouldn't do it again. Overall a nice, well maintained hotel.”

• Hotel was very clean and overall very friendly.
• House cleaning ladies were asked if we could have 2 additional towels they answered no because they did not have any. It was their tone.

“The overall grade of your hotel was very good but the only downfall in grade was the 2 house cleaning ladies that answered no to our request for two towels. Their tone was not very friendly but they only had to mention where I could call for this service. Once I went to the front desk the personnel quickly called housekeeping and they delivered the towels immediately. Later that morning when I was leaving another lady from housekeeping mentioned that we have a good day and just because of that friendly welcome I made sure she got a tip. It's amazing what two negative responses will create. That is the reason why your hotel did not get an excellent rating.”

• The convenience of parking and overall the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.
• There is nothing that I did not like.

“It was perfect for myself and my sister, we are both seniors and we were there for my nephews graduation from the Air Force boot camp and it was perfect for us. The convenience of everything we needed was available. Thank you for a great stay.”

• T V remote difficult to work and no schedule.

“Everything was very good but couldn't find a T V guide or make the remote work very well. Too update for a country boy I guess. Beds extremely comfortable and we enjoyed our brief stay very much. Thanks!”

• The hotel was quiet.
• Location was hard to access from the expressway (main light off).

“Hotel met expectations. We only stayed a night as we were passing through the city but overall it was very clean and comfortable. Impressed with the toiletries and coffee available in the room. Quick check in and check out. Only negative was that the occupant, next door, left their food outside on the floor and upon leaving the room next day it was still outside the door (total of 6 or more hours).”

“I was very disappointed by the lack of concern and attention to my requests to clean/fix bathtub and sink. The sink backed up all night making a terrible sewer smell that permeated the entire room all night. It also left a residue in that sink that I had to scrub and clean. The first night we were dining in the room and when I went to go wash my hands a roach came out of the sink drain. Every time I tried to express my concern and get help I was told that they were sorry and they offered me cookies! I just wanted a non-smelly, functional bathtub and sink, roach-free room.”

• Restaurant staff members were friendly.
• Front desk staff wasn't friendly or customer oriented.

“The entire staff members should be both provide the same level of customer service. The hotel should have more than 2 washers and 2 dryers in their facility. The cookies were the best. When guest ask a question take the time to listen and hear every part of the complaint. Offer an alternate solution before saying, "No". Housekeeping was okay. Housekeeping staff should take the time to report broken locks on the door before guest checks into the room. A little more attention to detail in all departments would make this an outstanding establishment.”

• The room was decorated nicely, except for the curtains that blocked the door to enter. (That was a hassle).
• The curtain was a nuisance, no crib, pool was cold, and room was hot all night.

“The hotel's appearance was nice and we received complimentary cookies upon checking in. The room looked good, however the door was blocked by two curtains making it difficult to enter/exit easily (especially with luggage). The pool looked inviting, but was ice cold when we got there, so we didn't get to enjoy it. Then at night, we bought fast food and didn't get a plastic utensils, we looked all over the hotel for an set but could not find any anywhere. No fridge or microwave in room. All night, the room would not cool, which made it extra sticky since the pillows and bed has some sort of plastic lining.”

• Good location to airport.
• Not worth the money and not a typical Doubletree or Hilton.

“This was a good hotel to stay, if you are just using it as a place to stay. It was fairly clean although and the pool was disgusting. The internet was complementary only in the lobby. You have to pay for it in the room. The restaurant was also pricey and unlike other there was no free breakfast or beverages in the am and pm. Also TV was limited. I would not stay again.”

• Friendly, helpful staff. Clean hotel room. Nice breakfast.
• No free Internet in the hotel rooms, no free continental breakfast.

“Great hotel. The only problem I had was with the bathroom shower head - one of the five sprayer nozzles was missing, causing water to pour out rather than spray. I informed the front desk; they offered to fix it right away and gave me two vouchers for free breakfast at the restaurant.”

• The elevators do not work, not fair with all clients & hotel restroom were dirty.

There were spider webs in our restrooms and it was very cold in the room. The location was very good it was nearby 2 malls and other restaurants. Do not go to TGI Fridays our waitress did not wash her hands! Warning! Overall it was an ok visit with the exception of the stuck elevators and no air in the elevators and we were late 30 minutes to where we had to go to. They also did not offer anything for our suffering.”

• Our room had a couple of minor maintenance issues.

“We were very happy with the beauty of the hotel, inside and out, especially the pool area and room. The friendly and helpful staff made up for a couple of minor maintenance issues. I especially appreciated the coffee service with liquid creamer. Coffee and cookies go so well together for a late night snack.”

• Perfectly adequate for my purposes.
• The large outdoor sign was unlit, which made finding the hotel difficult at night.

“Nicely designed hotel overall, well-appointed rooms (though mine felt a bit on the small side). Not overly elegant, but certainly upscale. Very comfortable and functional. I'd definitely consider it again if staying in the San Antonio area. The only negatives were:1. The unlit sign on the street which made it difficult to find in the dark (I almost drove past, since there was a lighted restaurant sign just below it on the same supports).2. Some of the bathroom fixtures seemed a bit worse for wear and should probably be replaced/upgraded to give a better impression of quality.”

• The cookies given at check in were delicious.
• Sand in the bed sheets, small bathroom, AC temperature was poor.

“We were unable to cool the room off, the AC unit could not keep the room about 77-78 degrees, the bathroom was tiny, very limited cable channels, we found sand in one of the beds but because it was late at night, we just slept on top of the covers.”

• AC was not cooling that well.

“Hotel was definitely good for the price. It was better than the previous two hotels I had stayed while in San Antonio. The only negative was that the AC was not cooling that well and got a bit hot. Pleasant stay.”
