• It was very clean.
• Understaffed, hard to get help at the bar because they also worked the front desk.

“Clean hotel. Nice complimentary breakfast. Staff was polite but the hotel was understaffed. The hotel was busy and there were just 2 people on staff to handle the bar area and all of the people checking in/out.”

• The location was right where we needed to be. The rooms were modern, beds were so comfortable and overall it was beautiful.

“First impression of the motel was WOW, we love our stay. Friendly staff,our room was out of this world everything was perfect. Downtown San Antonio was walking distance what more could we ask for. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Beautiful rooms, fully equipped, huge TV, even wonderful soaps!
• Names of the chain were confusing, cabs kept taking us to the wrong ones.

“All the Hyatt hotels are wonderful and so was this one, but they need to distinguish their names more and warn travelers what the exact name and street of the one they are booking at so that cabs and direction-givers don't send them to the wrong ones. Three times we were taken by cab drivers to the wrong Hyatt and had to pay another $6 to go to the right one. Once the hotel desk did pay for us to take a new cab on them, though. We still had to pay the tip to the driver. We appreciate the fact the hotels participate in the green policy of allowing you to choose to reuse towels, lessening the use of water worldwide. All hotels should just do it, not even make it a choice. We're all spoiled and wasteful.”

• This Hotel was rated 2-1/2 stars and that was so under rated! In my book this was a 4 star hotel! It is so beautiful. I want to be a life member!
• There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

“If anyone is looking for a peaceful stay in San Antonio Texas, but still close to all the beautiful sites, you need to look no further than the Hyatt Place on the River Walk. You will find it to be tranquil and the rooms are beyond your expectations. The staff was so helpful and it was unexpected when they greeted me by my name. The complementary breakfast and the 24hour attended food & beverage facility (there "grab and go" food area and I don't mean vending machines!) is exceptional! You will love it!”

“I was very pleased with this hotel. I found it to be comfortable and everything I needed was within walking distance, using the River walk. The HDTV was a bonus. The atmosphere of lobby was welcoming and the food was good.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and the breakfast set up was incredible.
• My bottom sheet was not fitted and did not cover the bottom of the bed.

“I arrived at 1:00 in the afternoon and asked for info about the city at the front desk. They let me check in early after verifying that my room was already cleaned. This was very helpful. I wouldn't have booked a room at this hotel without a discounted room rate. It wouldn't have been worth full price but the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.”

“I was very disappointed in this hotel stay. Most everything did not work well. The bed was the worst I have ever slept on. The whole place smelled old and stale. The only positive thing about this hotel was the free breakfast. It had just about anything you would want to eat.”

• Although, my room was on the city side of the building instead of the river side, it was still very quiet.
• I did not realize that the room contained a full-size bed instead of a queen- or king-size bed.

“The staff was very friendly; the room and public spaces of the hotel were very clean. I found the arrangement of the room quite odd (the room you entered from the hall way, contained the bed and the second room contained the sofa and desk). Also, I was shocked to find a full-size bed in the room instead of a king size.”

• Amerisuit provide good services, specious clean rooms and beautiful views.
• Even there are canteen machine in the facility, we felt that there are not many selections from the canteen.

“It is a good hotel for both business and family visit. We had great experience with Amerisuit. The sheets and bathroom are clean. The specious suite provides are functional for everyone. I will highly recommend it to other visitors.”

• The hotel was very clean, and they served an excellent breakfast.
• The hotel is indeed on the river walk, but it can be a long walk in the summer heat to a dining establishment.

“I enjoyed my stay at Amerisuites in San Antonio, if you don't mind the walk to dining and shops this is an excellent location, the river walk is literally steps from the back door. The rooms were extremely clean; in fact I took a bath in the tub (something I never do in a hotel)! The staff was extremely helpful in giving us directions to our destinations. We had a wonderful stay, and we will certainly be back!”

“I was supposed to hear back about an adjustment on my bill for them not keeping my room available. I called twice to make sure I would have two double beds and that I would be checking in late, they gave away the rooms and had to accommodate me in a different way that was not to my standard.”

• It took the water a long time to get hot.

• This hotel made for a good resting place after seeing the sights in San Antonio.
• The public eating area used for the complementary breakfast is much too small for the amount of guests.

“This was a nice hotel. The public areas are too small for the amount of guests. There are not enough elevators to accommodate the number of guests. The rooms are spacious and clean. The wireless internet is a plus. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.”

• IT was very convenient to the Hemisfair park, river walk and downtown areas.
• The rooms were pretty bland. The bed was regular size and not queen or king.

“The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is on the river walk and near several attractions downtown. I would say it is best as a Family hotel because of the suite setup. The rooms will hold a small family (4 to 6) with little problem.”

• The location and the breakfast buffet were awesome!
• My only complaint, and it's a tiny complaint, was that the mattress was a little too firm.

“This hotel was located on a beautiful spot on the river. It wasn't right in the hotspot of river walk, but it was definitely in comfortable walking distance. What they called a "continental breakfast" was a huge understatement. Every morning there was an enormous buffet laid out with hot food, cereal, waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels, and pastries. It was ridiculous. Hot coffee, fresh juice. And our room was very nice. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say what we paid, but it was half the cost of the standard rate, and it was so worth it! If we ever go back, amerisuites has my vote!”

“My overall experience here was good. The staff was great, the location was great, and breakfast was good. The room I was in was clean but the bed was just below average. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for vacationing families and business travelers.”

• Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 am on our checkout day.

“I really liked this place and would definitely stay here again. The location was very convenient to River walk activities. We decided to walk from the hotel to the River walk at midnight using the river pathway and at first I felt a little bit concerned for our safety, but we encountered no bums sleeping on the benches along the way so I was much more comfortable about walking back at 1300 a.m. Breakfast was busy in the morning, and I think they needed a few more tables, but the food was good and there was a variety including cereal, fruit, eggs, and make-your-own waffles. The only bad thing that I can think of is that the housekeeper knocked on our door at 9 am on our checkout day wanting to clean the room when checkout was at 11. That was an unexpected and unwelcome way to wake up. Staff that we encountered was friendly and chatty. ”

• The location was pretty good.
• We were given the handicap accessible room with a bed that was almost on the floor, and a wheezing a/c.

• Fitness center had very outdated equipment.

“The hotel is nice and comfortable. The location is great. It does lack a few amenities that I would have liked. The fitness Center was almost unusable with old and tired equipment. There was no whirlpool in the pool area. The rooms, although nice, seemed very plain. The bed was right there when you walked in, as opposed to the opposite way of having the living area first and the bedroom second in the suite.”

• Excellent staff and complimentary breakfast.
• Heated pool was cold.

“We were very pleased here. I inadvertently got a room with two double beds and at my request they moved us to a king size with no problem and no upgrade charges. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accomodate. Especially Sophie the continental breakfast was by far the best I have ever had anywhere.”

“False advertising not on the river walk - 3 blocks away from it. No restaurants near by, any food in hotel, no vending machines even. Poor service, unfriendly staff, unconcerned staff. Stay was terrible!”

• I liked the location - on the river walk, even if it was a walk to the main part.
• One of us had to sleep on the sleeper sofa. Too many people - not enough breakfast - took way to long.

“I had stayed at the amerisuites in October for 3 nights and had a great experience. Two in a double bed is too cramped. One of us had to sleep on the sleeper sofa. ”

• The hot breakfast was great, as was the breakfast area.
• It was on the lower end of the River walk. Nevertheless, it was well within walking distance of all the "old town" attractions.

“The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations! The rooms were spotless, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast really very good. Although it was on the lower end of the River walk, it was well within walking distance of all the "old town" attractions. I highly recommend it!”

• We stayed at several hotels on our vacation. We enjoyed ourselves the most here. Very family oriented.
• No real complaint other than the rooms decor was not as modern.

“The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, the "bountiful breakfast" was a great value, and our overall experience was very pleasant. Even though it is located on the river walk, the room was a little further away from the "excitement". It was a little further walk for us, but that was our choice. Overall though, we would recommend this to hotel to anyone.”

• Parking lot was being repaired.

“I found this hotel comfortable and roomy. The bed was comfortable, and having a refrigerator and microwave was a real plus. It was close enough to the convention center to walk (about 10 minutes). Very nice 2.5 star hotel stay. I would stay there again.”

• Enjoyed location on Southside of river walk/ free parking.
• Bed seem smaller than a full.

“Hotel was located off of the main river walk spot, but was close enough to walk to all location. Parking was free! Lobby and public areas are very nice, but rooms reflect that of a 2* hotel at best. Bed was small. Sleeper sofa, microwave and frig were nice. Found dining off the river walk yet close to the hotel much less expensive. Forgo the provided (nice) breakfast for breakfast tacos at tiptoes -- great food and value.”

• The room they put us in was a handicap we are not in any way handicap; they gave us a full size bed when I requested queen.

“For the price we were not happy at all. A few weeks before we had stayed at la contest in san Antonio on the river walk for a slightly less price and had a five-star experience. We were so disappointed with our stay there at amerisuites. I am sorry to have to say this. We worked with hotwire.com.”

• The staff was friendly. Local menus were displayed in a binder which was very helpful.
• The bed and the pillows weren't very soft.

“This hotel is a good deal for the price, especially if traveling with children. They offered free high-speed internet which was not offered at the 4-star hotel we stayed at the night before.”
