“I inquired of two queen beds and a microwave with the actual hotel rep - upon arrival they offered me a king bed without the microwave included and I had to request to speak with the manager to almost be provided with, what I previously requested.”

• I loved the wait staff in the restaurant. They were very helpful and accommodating.

“ The rooms were nice enough--no DVD player. I was on business but my wife and daughter were traveling with me for their Spring Break. The bathroom was extremely small. Nice shuttle service and drivers. ”

• The indoor pool.
• The room temperature of the indoor pool area was a bit cool the first day.

• The location was not ideal.

• Very good gym and decor.
• The kids that were playing in the gym.

“My room had a king size bed and I had two children. I needed to pay more upon arrival to get two double beds. It was clean but the AC had a dripping noise that lasted all night. It would not stop unless the AC was running.”

• Hotel was very nice, had an indoor pool, something for my kids to do when it was raining.
• No continental breakfast.

“The hotel was very nice, very much a four star. Although the outside pool was dirty, it had a very nice inside pool, which was just perfect for my family when it was raining outside. Staff very friendly, very helpful. But you do get charged for bottled water in your room, charged for use of robes, charged for extras in the fridge. Overall we had a very nice stay, would definitely stay there again.”

• Although carpet looked clean, my son's white socks turned black after awhile.

“Would definitely go back again. Experience was awesome. Hotel just needs to make sure they are vacuuming & cleaning the carpet in the rooms on a regular if not daily basis. Although the carpet appeared clean, my son's white socks turned dirty after awhile.”

• Overpriced room service for meals, no late checkout available.

“Very friendly staff, my $12.50 breakfast ended up costing $25.68 after fees, room was comfortable, don't use the iron, they leaked yellow water.”

• Very clean with many comforts and convenient.
• Wild young children in the pool and hot tubs after 9 pm.

“This is the 3rd time we've stayed. 1st two visits were wonderful and everyone made us feel like kings. This visit we felt ignored and when we did get help we felt like an inconvenience. We only stayed one night but really looked forward to relaxing in the pool and hot tub that evening. Both pools and hot tubs had very young, loud, splashing children in them until after 11:30 pm.”

“The staff was very friendly. We were greeted by everyone. The children were given a bag of goodies and there were games available to borrow. The fitness room is great and the kids loved the indoor pool.”

• Location was excellent for our needs, access to both loops in town was easy and plenty of business located nearby.
• Outdoor pool could have been a little cleaner.

• $7 to use computer downstairs with printer.

“Nice hotel close to Six Flags. I think they had security check out the parking lot all night, which was nice. Sign up for Omni card to avoid internet charges. I wanted to print Six Flags tickets, I had bought online at the computer in the lobby, but it was $7 to use it. Go to the Six Flags entry kiosk instead.”

• Lots of amenity cost in the rooms, bottled water cost $6, and bath robe in room has an undisclosed fee. No complimentary breakfast, water, or snacks.

“This 4 star rated hotel is very clean and nicely furnished. The beddings is clean and attractive, the beds are very comfortable. I liked the toiletries and the eco-friendly toilet. However, this 4 star hotel has lots of additional charges for things in the room, such as bottled water $6, and bath robes have an undisclosed fee. For the cost of a night at this hotel, nothing is complimentary-no complimentary breakfast, snacks, or water.”

• Loved the bed and linens.
• Wish there would have been an accessible microwave so I could heat up my coffee.

“I was very pleased with everything about our stay with only one caveat. I called to the front desk to get internet access and was told that I could only get free wireless access if I brought my laptop to the lobby. Otherwise, I would be charged $9.95 per day for access in my room. While down at the lobby, I inquired further and was told that I could sign up as a select guest and would then get free internet access in my room. I asked if I could do this now and have access during this stay and I was told, "No, it would only apply to my next stay". Disappointed, I returned to my room and decided to see what would happen if I tried to gain internet access. When I turned my computer on, in my room, I was given the option to sign on as a 'select guest' and immediately was given an ID number which I could use right then to gain access to the internet, which I did. No charge. Just a lot of hassle due to inadequately trained front desk personnel. Other than that, the room was beautiful, bed was comfortable, and my view from the 10th floor was great. The two pools and hot tubs were a hit with my two adolescent children. Very nice. Also, great hours at the pools, open from 5 a.m. till 1 a.m.!”

• The room was great and the view from the 10th floor was wonderful.
• Front desk lack of knowledge regarding guest internet access.

“Excellent property with upscale facilities. Staff is very responsive, and the decor and amenities are truly luxurious for the price point. Great for leisure, family or business travelers. Another great detail is they allow pets.”

• The location was good for our destination (Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas).
• The age of the hotel and the room had a damp A/C smell to it.

“The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. About the only thing I was disappointed in was the pay-per wireless internet access and the charge to use the business center to print out some tickets I had left at home. The hotel appeared to be older and the room had a damp A/C smell, but you got used to it. Overall, I'd prefer a stay in a newer lesser-star hotel that includes these services complimentary.”

“I spent 8 nights and enjoyed the hotel immensely. The fitness centre has been renewed since a year ago and it is great. The staff is friendly and courteous. Great restaurants nearby. One bad point was the in room brochure for Luigi's Pizzeria 1053 Austin Hwy. San Antonio. This was the only unpleasant part of the trip to San Antonio. The brochures should be burnt with the pizza.”

• The staff treated us like we were millionaires very tentative.
• There was nothing about this hotel that I did not like

“I feel that this hotel would be great no matter if you are on business or taking the family on vacation. From the moment you first arrive, they are helping out of the car, opening doors for you and directing to front desk. When the doorman is helping you with your luggage, he is telling you about the amenities of the hotel. They were spot on cleaning and refreshing the room. They asked how your stay was and helped reload the car to head home. I give this hotel a 4 star rating and would gladly stay there again.”

• We liked the room, the staff and the general nice feeling you get when you walk in the front door. The kids also liked the outdoor pool!
• You can hear the interstate when you're at the pool.

“Upon entering the main entrance of the hotel it is beautiful and smells nice. Our room was initially the same until I found stray hairs in the tub (hard not to notice with the curtain open) and one in the sink. The worst part was purchasing a very expensive room service for my family and having a chicken bone in my wrap. ICK. The staff was nice and friendly.”

• Starting to get a bit threadbare in spots, but still a really nice hotel.

“Nice rooms, with several different layouts, and great view form upper floors. Indoor and outdoor pools are pretty big. Convenient to area attractions (other than the Riverwalk, but San Antonio is not that big). Free wifi and welcome pack for the kids if you join the hotel's loyalty program. One of our favorite places to stay when visiting family!”

• Unfriendly staff. Few conveniences.

“The hotel is nice and the rooms are very neat. But if you need wireless internet, it was only available in the lobby and the staff couldn't have cared less. Okay for business I guess, but pretty pricey for what you get. I would not recommend.”
