• Everything! Wonderful place, we will go back!

“That was our first time to use priceline,and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is great, and very family oriented. Our kids liked watching the fire works outside that sixs flags does at the end of the night. Also, the pool is fabulous! We will come back again.”

• The room, the location, the history of the hotel.
• Front desk workers.

“Great History. Great location. Parts of it were way outdated (bathtub was huge, but took 1 hour to fill). South Texas is having the worst drought in history, so to waste that kind of water makes you feel bad. But I had a child to bathe! Room was very nice. Only 1 ice machine worked in the whole hotel. Front desk person was extremely rude though. Valet guys and bellman were so nice and courteous!”

• The setting and location was beautiful. The adult pool area was wonderful.
• The concierge was never available when we needed her.

“Beautiful resort, loved the location and the number of pools and activities. Enjoyed being outside of town with access to hill country towns.”

• The pool area was great! Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
• The person that checked us in did not have enough information and had to ask permission for everything.

“It was great overall. The kids loved the 4 pools and water slide area. There is even a pool for adults only. Loved the full service Starbucks in the lobby.”

• The staff was clearly focused on meeting our needs. The facility is beautiful.
• The restaurant seemed to be understaffed. We were not given a dinner menu the first night, and our service was very slow the first morning.

“My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at Westin La Cantera. We were there for a relaxed, romantic weekend. Although the hotel is clearly family oriented, we very satisfied with our stay and the lush surroundings. We will be back, both as a couple and as a family.”

• Beautiful landscaping, grounds, pool area, art.
• Aggravating customer service. Slow, bored staff. Waited too long for everything. Restaurants closed too early.

“Although this beautiful hotel is on gorgeous grounds and has a lovely pool area, our room would have been a good $ value. Registration was exceedingly slow, as were room service and vehicle retrieval. Restaurants closed at 10 pm and room service staff at that time reported a 75-minute wait. I expected much more from this lovely hotel. This was the worst hotel experience I can remember, especially because most staff members seemed slow, bored, and disinterested.”

• Needs updating, too many fees, save yourself $ park your own car.

“This is a beautiful hotel. It's views of the hill country are awesome. We were very disappointed in the rooms. They were quite dingy and the room service menu is a joke.”

• Some rooms do not have a view.

• Outstanding, friendly service.
• Bathroom needed repair - the ceiling paint was peeling and there was some mold on the wall paper.

“Fabulous hill country destination with luscious grounds, well-kept public spaces and impeccable service! Appealing destination for families, couples and business travelers. Close proximity to Six Flags, Sea World, shopping and dining.”

• Were given a handicapped room with king bed instead of regular room with double beds.

• Just an absolutely lovely place with good restaurants & magnificent views of the Texas hill country.
• Self parking little inconvenient.

• it was convenient to the location I was visiting
• room was not ready by the time I arrived at 4:30pm, my room view was totally obstructed by construction materials; check in/out very lengthy wait

“Not enough hotel staff to check clients in/out; room not ready; I got a room with construction scaffolding on my window. I was double charged for room. Other clients were at desk complaining every time I walked by.”

• The hotel is a luxury resort, its kind of isolated though, if that is what you are looking for.

“The cantera resort is beautiful, although a bit distanced, but pretty soon the cantera shopping center will open, and that will be great.”

“The room was very nice. The overall package was very nice. I recommend that if you stay there, bring your own soft drinks. No vending machine in the hotel. $3.00 for a snickers bar is crazy and $5.00 for two ice tea's.”

“I thought the hotel accommodation were lovely. I would like to see La Cantera offer a better menu in their Brandon's Cafe. The food was awful.”
