• Its absolutely beautiful. It does feel like your out in the country. Awesome.
• Not a very good greeting at the desk when checking in.

• Very Friendly staff, wonderful bed, beautiful peaceful surroundings, great golf.
• Good location to Sea World and Fiesta Texas, Restaurants and shopping very limited.

“I have stayed here a couple of times and am always pleased with the experience. They updated the rooms with a complete overhaul last year and it is really nice. They also just added another 9 holes to the golf course making for 27 tough holes. If you are going to Sea World and Fiesta Texas you are in the right spot. However, be ready to drive a bit to shopping and restaurants. They gave me a pre printed card with directions to Cha Cha's Mexican food. I told the waiter about it, gave him the card and they gave me my $7.00 appetizer to me for free. The lazy river is great for the family, I drug a chair just off the sandy beach into the water and read a book. The kids and I went around the, built sand castles, ate, drank and about 7 hours later we went to get ready for dinner. Repeat for 3 days and you are very rested and satisfied.”

• The hotel is beautiful.
• I did not get the room service I ordered.

“The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. The adult pool and hot tub were open until midnight because they were not close to any rooms. The well maintained and very secure. The only complaint I have is that I ordered breakfast for the next morning and it was never delivered.”

• Spa facility was great, and they have a lazy river you can raft around, very cool!
• It's about 20 minutes away from downtown San Antonio, so you have to account for travel time.

“The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort is exactly what it claims to be. An oasis just outside of San Antonio. I enjoyed the spa facility, while my husband played golf at the resort's course. There are also many activities for kids. A unique feature of the hotel is its lazy river, on which you can relax in a raft and go around in circles for as long as you like. I definitely recommend the Hyatt for its quality of service and top notch resort amenities.”

• The hotel was full with tons of activities, yet I felt like I was in the country, very relaxed.
• There was a leak in the bathroom, but it wasn't that bad.

“I was amazed that such a busy place can seem so easy-going and relaxed. I don't know how they managed to build this resort within so many trees. We loved being on the bottom floor with doors out to a large tree with parakeets and cardinals flying around and a quick walk to the FABULOUS lazy river. We feel very fortunate this worked out!”

• Location, nice rooms
• Very snobby and rude staff. Overpriced

“Glad I got it for a cheap price! The staff was the rudest I have seen in a while. For the amount of money you pay, they should go out of their way to make sure you are happy and they don't. Free breakfast would be nice also considering all the other hotels in the area offer it.”

• Parking far away from room, $10/day MANDITORY charge for local calls/etc...

• The bed was SO comfortable.

• The golf course was incredible. great restaurants as well.
• The service at one of the restaurants was poor. the springhouse inn.

“The hotel attempted to charge a $10 per day Resort Fee" which is to cover golf club handling, pool towels etc. I was not informed of this additional charge when I made the reservations and do not believe it is appropriate."”

• We loved the atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings, and the first-class rooms. This was one of the best resorts we have ever stayed in.
• The food was a little pricey.

“The Hyatt Regency Hill Country was beautiful! The rooms were exquisite with the most comfortable bed. The whole surroundings were beautiful, with such pretty landscaping and well maintained countryside. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The pools were also wonderful and not too crowded. Overall, a great place to stay.”

• It is gorgeous!!
• No indoor pool. Since the property is huge it felt like it took a long time to get out of the building.

“I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Hill Country resort. Unfortunately it was raining when I was there but we are already planning to go back in three weeks. They have lazy river, playground for kids, beautifully landscaped property and numerous hiking trails. It is beautiful. Staff were nice and pleasant. A great plus is that this resort it two minutes away from Sea World.”

• It is a lovely resort with beautiful grounds including a lazy river. The renovated rooms are beautiful.
• The location is perfect for a Sea World outing. I would not recommend it if you are planning on spending time downtown.

“My husband and I stayed at the resort last year and thought it was very nice but we didn't love the room decor (it was cheesy country style.) They have renovated the rooms since then and they are beautiful - very upscale in keeping with the resort. It is definitely a family-oriented hotel (it is located right by Sea World.)”

• Excellent family amenities if you enjoy the Texas outdoors
• Some may not like the fact that the resort is crawling with kids on weekends and holidays

“This is a very nice family-oriented resort in the Hill country of San Antonio. The resort is located in an area that makes one feel like they are isolated from the real world", yet is only a mile or so from Sea World. The ambience is very comfortable, yet classy. There is plenty to do, especially if your family enjoys water/outdoor activities. They also had fun organized events (e.g. cooking smores over a campfire on the night we arrived). The rooms are nicely done and appointed (great beds). The service is as expected from a Hyatt. We have visited this resort several times over the years and it is always a favorite for us. In cooler days or rainy days, you may find less of the amenities available to entertain you, so keep this in mind in your schedule and expectations."”
