“Very clean, cozy and romantic. It is only two blocks away from the international bridge with Mexico making it convenient to walk across the border. The room on the concierge level was spacious and clean.” Jun 10, 2007 by
Ricardo from Laredo, TX
“This hotel was the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Laredo and we've stayed at almost all. Its part of history and it is very well kept up. The entrance was the only way in or out which helped to keep intruders out. It seemed to me like there were many guests but the room placement was great. We were secluded but still out in the open. The hotel overlooks the Rio grandee and the hotel has a patio in the middle of everything where the pool is located. There was an extension to the hotel and that had a pool with a great view of the sky.” Mar 28, 2007 by
Anna from San Antonio, TX
“Overall this is probably the best place to stay at in Laredo, just wish it were a little away from the border crossing and not so difficult to get to.” Nov 14, 2006 by
Mardy from Austin, TX
“This hotel is beautifully decorated. It has been recently remodeled and the staff treats you like a queen. I love la posada. It used to be too expensive for me to afford. ” Oct 24, 2006 by
Hector from Guadalupe, TX
“It is a Mexican style hotel, with balconies. It is taken place a major rebuild and the new rooms are cozy and with a very good size.” Sep 11, 2006 by
Craig from Houston, TX
“I liked La Posado. For the more 'off the beaten path' traveler who likes to experience unique and charming hotels and is not intimidated by an extremely close proximity to Mexico (on the border), or does not mind being located in the City center of the Old West Laredo (that means what it implies)... then this hotel is great!” Jul 26, 2006 by
Stephanie from Houston, TX
“I enjoyed the stay but they are doing remodeling and it was noisy and smelled of paint all night, and they charged me for the room, I had already paid thru you, they are going to investigate this they told me. I would stay there again after they finish working on the hotel, it was good though.” May 15, 2006 by
Cindy from Mansfiekd, TX
“Very nice and friendly!! Clean and spacious! The pool is wonderful and the restaurants are the best in town by far!!” May 9, 2006 by
Juan from Mcallen, TX
“Excellent hotel, clean great appearance, friendly and secure.” Apr 3, 2006 by
Robert from Alice, TX
“I've stayed at this hotel several times, and I had never before been charged for parking in the hotel parking garage. When I asked the checkout clerk what other choice I had for parking, he pointed out the window and said there is metered parking out on the streets. Thanks a lot! The streets near the hotel are extremely busy and I would have had to park blocks away and gone back to feed the meter! Parking should be included in hotel's daily rate, as there is no other choice anyway.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 31, 2006 by

“Had never before been charged for parking in the hotel parking garage. I mentioned this to the clerk when he charged me for parking as I checked out, but he said perhaps previous clerks had been new and did not know about the parking fee. I asked where else I could have parked, and he said there is metered parking out on the streets. Thanks a lot!! The streets around the hotel are congested and I would have had to park blocks away and gone back to feed the meter during the day! My encounter with the rude and aloof clerk at checkout ruined an otherwise pleasant stay.” Jan 11, 2006 by
James from Lansing, KS
“The hotel is beautiful. The staff gives great customer service. When I go back to Laredo I will stay there again.” Nov 30, 2005 by
Craig from San Antonio, TX
“This hotel is located close to the border and is downtown close to all the shopping. The ambiance of the overall hotel is great! I will definitely be back to stay.” Nov 21, 2005 by
Doug from Houston, TX
“I feel that the staff was more friendly and accommodating to Mexican guests. I was originally assigned a room in the back of the hotel which backs up to the dog kennel that houses the border guard dogs. Due to their loud barking, I requested a different room. They brought a key to a different room, but didn't bother to tell me where it was located nor did they offer to help me move my things. The second room was good with no barking dog issues. Basically, I feel that the hotel is overpriced probably because there is limited competition in this type of hotel. Their restaurants' food is mediocre and fairly expensive. E.g. Lunch buffet was $15.00. There are several nicer hotels across the border in Nuevo Laredo, but I didn't want to go across the border with the amount of drug problems they are having. I will probably search for a different hotel next trip.” Nov 2, 2005 by
Betsy from Katy, TX
“Having stayed at La Posada several times in the past few years, I was wonderfully surprised to see the new renovations which were long overdue. The grounds are beautiful, the lobby welcoming and the newly renovated room was tastefully furnished. The mattresses must be new and we loved the extra pillows that were already on the beds. We didn't have to ask for extra pillows or towels.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 26, 2005 by

“The hotel is very nice. We stay there often and this consistently happens.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 30, 2005 by

“Overall, I did enjoy my stay. The hotel is being remodeled. I would recommend that the hotel would provide a floor plan of where construction is taking place, for safety purposes and it paints a better memory picture of your stay. Instead of the muggy mildew scent. Housekeeping was very hospitable. Room service was on time and tasting. Thank you for my stay.” Sep 29, 2005 by
Amy from Victoria, TX
“Much better than I expected. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.” Sep 12, 2005 by
Robert from Alice, TX
“The rooms are not three-star hotel rooms. They are old looking and old-fashioned. They smell like strong cleanser covering up mustiness. The toilet was too close to the wall in the bathroom. The El Cafe Restaurant is great.” Aug 3, 2005 by
Cesar from Laredo, TX
“good hotel, need to be more friendly” Jul 31, 2005 by

“At the price it was great, for small kids with a cafe outide the door it was great.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 27, 2005 by

“7/23/05 La Posada is currently under construction, so understand it is loud and a bit messy. I is a pretty hotel with old world Mexican charm. The hotel is at the foot of the tourist bridge, it provides a location that is walking distance to Nuevo Laredo and this will be important as when you get back from Mexico, you're hot and tired. The location is perfect.Ask for a room overlooking one of the swimming pools so you don't get stuck in one of the windowless rooms on the west side of the hotel. Seriously, there are some very undesirable rooms. The Sunday brunch is really good. In Laredo, it's really the only place to stay.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 26, 2005 by

“The hotel was O.K.-did not like paying for parking.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 6, 2005 by

“The hotel was nice, as were the staff. It was just that we were at a wedding and there was no parking for other family members who were also in town to park so we could coordiante things. (Maybe that was more our problem.)The hotel was nice though and even though some of the family gave me grief about a price I was happy with, It turned out that we had the best place in town, with the best price! SO they quit with the razzing. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 5, 2005 by

“Really nice place, not ulta fancy but good facilities..the place is ungoing renovation so some areas closed. It was really hot when we were there in early June & the air conditioning system either could not keep up or it was set too low.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 8, 2005 by

“I would only stay there if I needed quick access to the border. Although the hotel common areas are lovely and the staff friendly, the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is not conducive to walking/touring. Too many vagrants. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 10, 2005 by

“This hotel certainly should not be rated 3 1/2 stars. We will definitely not stay there next time. There are nicer hotels in Laredo than this one. While the history of this hotel made it somewhat charming, the upkeep on the rooms just seemed like 1960's style.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 19, 2005 by

“Walking distance to Mexico, market, & Victoria's. Jan 16, 2005 by

“One of the oldest hotels in South Texas. You mention Laredo to anyone and the La Posada Hotel usually comes up. It is located close to the river and close to the bridges leading into Mexico. Good meeting rooms and good dining,” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 7, 2004 by
Patrick S. from Austin “The hotel was nice. It had nice facilities and a nice room.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 13, 2004 by
“La Posada Hotel And Suites in Laredo was just what we hoped for; the staff was wonderful and the management was willing to accommodate special requests. It was an incredible price when rooms were booked 4 months in advance; the price for the late requests were comparable to the regular rate of other hotels in the area, which do not offer the same amenities. Thank you, we have booked our next weekend retreat with you!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 26, 2004 by
Steve W. from San Antonio “Older hotel kept in good shape. Beautiful courtyard in the center, great place to relax. Very close to the border, short walk to Mexico to shop.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
