“This hotel wasn't good. Our room number was painted on by the door, the toilet has urine in it when we checked in, the remote didn't work, the shower had mildew and the beds were as hard as rocks. Not impressed.”

  • The smell of the room.

“The worst hotel that I experienced. It seemed that La Quinta had enough non smoking room. They could not change smoking to non-smoking. I could not stay there anymore, and I had no choice but to check out in an hour after my check-in. I have had very good experiences from priceline deals, but la Quinta ruined all these good feelings.”

  • The room was very clean and looked new.

“Please re-examine your contract with this hotel. Make sure the staff can be courteous and offer a welcome to our business attitude.
They wouldn't check us in until after 3:00 pm and wanted to place us in a room with double beds instead of a single king bed. We finally got a smoking room with double beds. There was no effort to meet our request. Very poor customer service. We were not very happy.”

“The price is high for the condition of the property. The bath tub was dirty and the room was worn. There are several other motels in the area with as good or better price in much better shape. The free breakfast was good with a variety of things to eat.”

“Room was nice enough but two of the light fixtures in my room did not work, even after changing the bulb. The toilet also was refilling the tank on and off all the time due to a leak in the toilet (so the noise was bothersome).”

“It was fine for just resting the head while traveling across the country. The main building is attractive. The coffee wasn't very good, and they didn't have knives for the butter/cream cheese during the continental breakfast. But the food was decent and acceptable.”

“Not much more than an upscale motel 6. No vending machines, plastic cups, noisy AC. Very small room with the bare minimum. The smell of dairy cattle in the morning was almost enough to gag me.”

  • The young woman at the front desk was delightful.
  • Stained tub. Ceiling above tub dirty.

  • Easy access from highway, but not right on highway.
  • Trash in bathroom and tub was disgusting.

“I stayed at this hotel twice in a week's time. The first room I had was above average, the second was below average. It doesn't take much to clean up trash out of the bathroom's floor. There were also no cups by the ice bucket. Quite a contrast depending on what room you're in. Also, I spilled some juice on the floor during the second day and the person working the front desk didn't get me help to clean it up my daughter and I did it ourselves. I think he should have at least gotten a mop or called housekeeping. The floor was sticky when we left.”

  • Sign in bathroom said to ask the front desk if you forgot something and they didn't have something as basic as a Toothbrush.

“I arrived at the motel around 2:30 AM after being on the road for about 12 hours (and losing an hour when we crossed from MST into CST) and was told that my rooms were not available because I didn't arrive before midnight -- but not to worry, they would find me rooms; they just probably wouldn't be together. I requested a king for one of the rooms if possible and was told that it would not be possible to change rooms. Not a problem. I understand that. After much research on the computer and looking through the card file records, we were finally given key cards to our two rooms. I sent my elderly parents to their room (thankfully on the first floor) and my daughter went to our room (on the third floor) as I unloaded a few overnight bags for each of the two rooms. My daughter inserted her key into the door of our room and got the green light, but when she pushed on the door, it would not open all the way. She tried to open the door several more times since it seemed to open a little way, then stopped. She thought perhaps something had fallen over and was partially blocking the door. To her horror, some unfortunate soul (probably awakened from a deep sleep and thinking someone was trying to break into their room) started yelling threatening obscenities at her from inside the room. By this time it's probably 3 AM. My daughter is only 17 years old and was horrified and terribly upset by the experience. We collected our things and headed back to the front desk only to find my parents there -- they had the exact same experience with their room. The clerk was on the phone with several irate guests reporting that people were trying to break into their rooms. He finally got off of the phone and apologized for the mix-up. We waited while he went through the whole computer and card file routine looking for new rooms for us. After being denied a king room when I requested it for my parents.”

  • The maid stole grandma's necklace.

“For the most part the employees were very nice. The only bad experience was when we left for the day and came back to find one of my grandma's necklace stolen. The continental breakfast was good, everything was fresh and clean. For the most part we enjoyed our stay.”

  • Sink stopped up; had to move late at night; promised to comp that room or another - didn't receive.

“Although the property was undergoing exterior refurbishing, we found that it met our needs. It is an older facility with minimal frills. However it is convenient to the traveler and offers comfortable and clean accommodations.”

  • Clean, courteous and convenient and affordable on our fixed income.
  • The last night we were there, we had no clean towels, trash cans running over and bed unmade.

“Breakfast room was clean, food good and fresh, attendant friendly and helpful. They were painting the building but took care to cover our pick-up. Found us a room near the elevator since we have difficulty climbing stairs. We stayed six nights and the service was excellent so it was surprising that the room was not serviced the last night, when we needed to be clean for traveling the next day. Our daughter is being treated for cancer at the Harrington Center so this was not a vacation.”

  • Front desk seems to be helping in getting straighter back. We will see.
  • Bathroom floor filthy, front desk gave room away after first night, straighter stolen.

“Check-in/check-out is quick & easy; room was clean but AC was on high so was WAY too cold upon arrival. Great breakfast with many choices but when items ran out it was not restocked. There was a baseball team staying there & those boys ate a lot! Friendly staff except there was 1 woman who did nothing but read a newspaper & refers all questions/requests to the other woman who was doing everything while that woman did nothing. Didn't look good for the front lobby to have a non-working clerk!”

“Hotel is aging and in need of repairs. Doors do not open or close easily and steps to upper floors are crumbling. Housekeeping is great, except for 3 of my seven nights were not re-supplied with coffee, soap or shampoo.”

“I would never recommend a service like this. I thought that I was going to be happy with La Quintal. But this was by far the worst hotel-motel I had ever stayed in and don't look forward to ever using to service like this again.”

“Tried to get pillows and there was nobody to get them. First set of door keys didn't work. We were offered a second room so we could look for pillows and those keys didn't work either. Tired and frustrated we just accepted what we got. But we won't be back.”

“The room I booked was taken by someone else, only did I realize this after I opened the door to see someone else's Suit Case and the bed folded down. Then to top that off, I had to settle for a single King size bed instead of the Two full size beds that I had originally requested. The Staff didn't believe me when I told them someone was in the room I had reserved. The only good thing was I did receive a handicapped room.”

  • Upgraded from twin beds to King-size; accommodated no-smoking and lower floor; continental breakfast.
  • If it were star-rated higher, I would comment.

“The hotel is located on a Hospital road near the freeway; access is difficult to negotiate. The entry from the road needs repairs. I liked the continental breakfast provision. There was an iron and hair dryer which worked well. The room environment controls, (heat/cool) worked fine and the room was comfortable. The amenities lacked bathroom accessories such as shampoo and lotions. (There was only one washcloth) I probably would stay here again if my itinerary dictated however; the two-star rating is accurate.”

  • Coffee service (only enough for one person) no queen beds, cleanliness.

“It is generally run down except for the lobby and breakfast area. It us unusual to find only "full" sized beds in a modern hotel. Two of the party got bit by some sort of bug over night. Coffee service only had sweetener and creamer for one person and only one stirrer. Generally over rated at two stars.”

  • Son had to sleep in a recliner because we were in a 1 king room and needed 2 beds had request.

“There were problems with this stay. 1- Room was a 1 king room and needed a 2 queen room. They must have moved our reservation around had requested a roll away and never received, so my son slept in the recliner.”
