• The accommodations and price was super!
• 1 staff member wasn't very co-operative with my group, and our rooms were very tough to get to.

“Overall, the hotel was great! However, 1 attendant was very difficult and non-cooperative. I would stay there anytime!”

• Spacious room and very comfortable beds. Bathroom was cleanest/nicest I have experienced in a while. Awesome flat screen TV!
• Saw a band-aid that stayed on the deck of the pool for 2 days.

• Had to pay for internet up in the room.

• Convenient, clean, comfortable, & excellent cookies!
• Early morning construction in an adjacent area, moving our way.

“This is a typical Doubletree property & reflects Doubletree's dependable quality. It was a very clean large room with comfortable beds, nice amenities, & a great shower. One front desk staff was a little goofy, but the next woman corrected his mistake & offered complimentary bottled water with the apology. Good customer service.”

• Great staff. The cookies are great!
• Noise insulation is thin. The cookies are not low-calorie!

“One of the first rooms that we were assigned had a mixed smell of smoke and pet odor but a two minute trip to the front desk resulted in a nearby room that was perfect. The workout facility is bright, clean and inviting; but the indoor pool is less inviting. The staff is wonderful, and we experienced the added bonus of meeting crew members of the thunderbirds and Air Force One (!) in the lobby and hallways a thrill for the kids.”

• Good location for inexpensive restaurants and a multiplex movie theater.
• The bed was less comfortable than most hotels have these days.

“A Suburban ice hotel near inexpensive restaurants and a movie multiplex. The hotel is a bit sterile inside with reasonably pleasant staff, but not overeager to help either. The location is very good for Fort Carson, but a bit away from downtown. If a quiet suburban hotel near cheap eats and entertainment are what you are looking for this is a great place.”

“I ask not to be in construction area and this is where we were put. Non smoking room and room next door had 10 or more people smoking and noise all night.”

• The pool was great and had a nice exercise room.
• The hotel did not have easy access to an outside door from our room. It is a very difficult hotel to navigate.

“I thought the staff was very kind and courteous. The rooms were very nice and the roll away we ordered for our room was there before we even got in the room. Very prompt service!”

“It is a good hotel. Room size are good enough with kids. But the furniture looks old, especially bath door and its look was not working.”

• They were severely understaffed and the restaurant service was terrible.

“The hotel itself was actually very nice. However, it was undertaffed, tremedously lacking service-wise. Would have been a great stay if there had been adequate staff to take care of some basic needs.”

• Attractive, easy to feel at home, comfortable.
• Fan blows on couch, we had to walk a long way because they did not tell us the easy way to get to our room.

“We really enjoyed the room. We missed the chocolate chip cookies. Outside access to the elevator was much easier than walking so far to our room. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay especially for the price.”

• Computer room needs a time limit, every time I went to use a computer either kids were on them or an adult doing business for long periods of time.

• The housekeeping was very good and the beds were comfortable.
• The cracked and leaky toilet and disconnected smoke alarms in two different rooms we had.

“I was very disappointed in that we were not immediately given a new room when we told the hotel staff that our hotel toilet was cracked and leaked water each time it was flushed. We stayed there 4 nights so something should have been done! We were told it would be fixed and it never was. Then when our smoke alarm went off in our room late one night right after our children went to bed that didn't help. We quickly evacuated the room but noticed our room was the only one going off. They fixed it by disconnecting it and let it hanging from ceiling by wires. We moved to another room where there was another alarm hanging by wires! Not very good safety standards!”

• The pool area is not as desirable as the rest of the hotel.

“I made this trip with four young girls, age 10. The girls were extremely impressed with the hotel lobby and dining area. We spent a lot of time at the pool, for me, the pool area was less desirable than the rest of the hotel. Although the pool was acceptable, it is simply not as impressive as the rest of the hotel.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• Hallways, doors and furniture a little outdated.

“Everyone at this hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The food was eat so good, not horrible but made us want to elsewhere. The internet cafe had great coffee and free internet access (room rate was 9.95). The doors and room furniture were a little outdated although it looked like they were replacing some of it. There is a Target across the street which was great since we forgot a few supplies, as well as numerous restaurants. Overall our visit was great and we would definitely stay here again.”

• Pool area had some algae and could have been cleaner.

“We are very grateful that the staff allowed early check in to our room, as we'd traveled over 8 hours to arrive. A strength of the hotel would be the staff. They made us feel very welcome, and even gave my daughter a special kid activity back pack which she loved and cookies for all! The hotel looked very nice and new carpet was being placed in some of the common areas of the hotel. Our room was very nice as well with new flat screen TVs and updated furnishings and decorations. We felt very welcomed. Thank you!”

• Very friendly staff, quick check-in, large clean rooms, delicious food, free chocolate chip cookies to die for.
• Hairdryer and bathtub drain were broken, but they were fixed quickly and we were given a free lunch for our trouble.

“This was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our week long trip through the Rocky Mountain area. All staff we met was super nice and eager to please. Rooms are very large, and spotlessly clean. Beds are super comfortable, bedding is heavenly. Pool was large and clean. The fountain outside was pretty. Location is a bit inconvenient being on the south side of town where not many attractions are, but it's close to I-25 so not hard to get around.”

• The hotel is convenient and very well located to the World Arena where we were attending a concert.
• They have a very serious heating - humidity problem!

“The hotel appears first rate. The halls and rooms are extremely hot and humid and this cannot be controlled. We were finally able to get a sliding door open about 3 AM - It was snowing - At 9 AM it was still over 85 degrees in the room. We were given another room after several trips to the desk - but it had the same problems as the first night. Does the place look good? Yes, very good! Would I stay there again? No!”

• Room large flat screens computer room clean hot tub/pool.
• Sauna not working, restaurant closed at 2p bar would not allow an 11 child in to eat or play pool after 6p.

“Very nice, clean, wish we could eat, play pool in the bar with and 11 year old child since the restaurant was closed after 6 pm. When asked where we could order and eat we were told we would have to go somewhere else. We requested robes were told they would not provide them. Placed 3 phone calls one to order dinner across the street and two other local calls to a business that only had a recording and we were charged 0.50 per call.”

• Customer service of front desk (or lack thereof).

“While the Doubletree is showing it's age, the construction is sure to help. The pool is nicely sized. My children enjoyed it. One of my main complaints would be the lack of warmth by the employees and the hotel layout. If you are at the back of the hotel, getting across to the dining areas is somewhat lengthy and confusing. Plenty of eating establishments near by. Excellent for those traveling to the Zoo or Seven Falls. Breakfast buffet was $12/pp but in impressive on an early Sunday Morning.”

• Lots of dirt and lint against walls, edges through hallways and in room - vacuuming issue. Lots of scrapes and scratches on door.
