• When I called the hotel to request a king bed, quiet room away from traffic and the top floor, the clerk was enthusiastically accommodating with grace.

“The hotel lobby was pleasant to the eye, inviting and comforting. While traveling alone, I am always thoughtful about my safety and security. My sense was that I had chosen well in that regard. It was a quality hotel. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and will visit again soon.”

• The chocolate chip cookies at check-in and the over-sized rooms.

“The room was nice and big, but the decor was old and out of date. The bed mattress caved in on one side. The furniture was outdated and worn. The rooms could use renovation.”

• They let you use their printer in the business office. Most hotels don't.
• Low ceilings in the lobby area.

“It was very nice and a good experience. The staff was incredible, the service was excellent. I thought the price for breakfast was way too high for an old Courtyard. The room was very clean. I would stay there again.”

• Everything was large / open - hallways, lobby and rooms.
• No free internet access in the room.

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was large with plenty of space to spread out. The fitness center was large for a hotel and seemed to have nice equipment. The pool was good sized and the kids loved it. The hot tub was large and clean also.”

• Very quiet room. Extremely helpful staff.
• Overall cleanliness was very good but edges of carpet around doors etc needed to be vacuumed better.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. Our first room didn't have pay movies and when we inquired about it the front staff could not have been more accommodating - apologized several times and moved us to a different room which did have pay movies. The room was very quiet - never heard anything!”

• The pillows were the best I've slept on. They actually spent money on them.
• They do not offer a complimentary breakfast with your stay or wireless internet in your room.

“The hotel is located right off the interstate. The hotel is clean. My room had a love seat and chair so it was nice to be able to relax on something other than the bed. The pillows were fabulous. Often I end up at hotels where they spend money on everything but the pillows. If the pillow is cheap and uncomfortable it's hard to get a good nights rest. The Double tree has thought about their customers.”

• Large comfortable rooms. Very comfortable beds.
• Bar area is more of a club with loud music - not good to unwind after a busy day.

“The hotel is clean and large. The rooms are very large compared to similar hotels. The beds are especially comfortable. I did not eat the food, but the prices seemed reasonable. The bar was more of a loud club atmosphere, which is not what the typical business traveler is looking for after a busy day of work. It would be nice if they had a secondary quieter bar for guests to unwind in.”

• Free business center, free parking, pool, and gym. All great.
• TV in the room was old, they charged for water in the room, breakfast buffet a bit limited.

“It was a pleasant experience. The stuff was amazing and made the difference. Also location close by the mall, restaurant and movies helped. Great pool and gym, and very about the business center for free. It would be great to have internet in the room, maybe through TV. The bathroom was the only average part. Small tub and cold, essential-cheap set up.”

• Clean rooms, good sized nice pool and hot tub. Gym rocked.
• Probably not good for dinners, but breakfast was decent.

“A fine place for the area 3.5 stars. Very convenient to airport (12 minutes) and I25 (1 minute). Down the street from the Broadmoor, and offered a lot of chain restaurant choices (decent chains too). Probably 12 minutes from downtown, not bad. Don't eat the cookies - they'll tell you it's 534 calories, but that's per serving. 2 servings in a cookie.”

• We liked the warm cookies upon check-in.
• Only 1 elevator accessed the gym and it was on the opposite side of the hotel.

• Queen instead of king when only one bed in the rood.

“It is a pretty standard hotel, however, they did have a new flat panel TV. My only wish is that this hotel would quit charging for internet in the rooms.”

• It was very easy to get there and then to our vacation places in the area. It is near Ft. Carson which we needed to be near.
• The elevators were confusing as there were so many wings and we did a lot of walking within the place.

“We enjoyed it. No complaints. Rooms were spacious and so were the bathrooms. Toiletries and linens very nice. Starbucks in lobby with free WiFi was a blessing!”

• I like the location, very central to restaurants etc.

“I did not like the fact that they sale you at the counter on how the room are new and updated. Putting a new TV, chair and toiletries does not mean updated. The wall paper was coming off the walls, our room was not clean. We found bacon on the floor and we did not have any breakfast or food in the room. The lack of respect from employees at the front desk. All bad! They made us feel so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave.”

• Ice machine on our floor was not working. I had to go up to the next floor.

• The hotel staff was very efficient and the room was exceptionally clean.
• The elevator was a long way from my room.

“The Doubletree more than met our expectations. The rooms and common areas were very clean and pleasing to the eye, as well. I felt very safe and I had a 17 year old daughter that I also felt very safe about as she hung out with other teenagers. The hotel was very convenient to our competitions and also too many restaurants.”

• It was close to everywhere we went.
• You had to swipe the key to rooms several times before it opened.

“This hotel was pretty good at first close to where we wanted to go. The keys didn't work at all the last day we had to swipe our key 15 times to get into our room and into the building. When I told the front about it they said sorry and didn't seem to care.”

• Stains on the carpet and furniture in our room. We had a first floor walk-out room with sliders, the screen was off the track.

• Breakfast was not free, no fridge or microwave, no free internet in room.

“This was a nice hotel overall, very clean, large rooms. Our kids enjoyed the large pool and hot tub. Good location right off highway 24. There were several things that were not as nice as our previous 3-star hotel we stayed in the nights before: Our room did not have a fridge, or a microwave, and breakfast was not complementary. In addition, there was no free internet service in the room, but there was a $10 charge for 24 hours of internet service? I was shocked by that. Only free internet service offered was in public cafe by front desk. Overall, still a nice place to stay.”

• Our son had to be on a rollaway. He had recently been camping and said that was more comfortable that the rollaway, we felt so guilty in that King.
