• They allow pets.
• The beds were small and uncomfortable.

“I was very frustrated when I called the front desk to ask for new sheets because one of the beds had hair all over it. The receptionist tried to convince me that they had just been changed and then asked if I really needed both beds or if we could just sleep in the other bed! Two adults and a toddler in one twin bed? No!”

• They let us change rooms with no problem.
• Facilities in room run down, lights not plugged in, dirty bed, stained sheets & tub.

“The first room we got, the bed was not made well and had hairs in it - cigarette burns in the spread of a non-smoking room. We complained and they changed us to a different room. Both rooms smelled - wasn't sure if it was a urine smell or a bad cleaning solution. The second bed was clean, but not well made, but the sheet was stained some. The lights would not work and it took us some time to figure out if the light bulb was out, but it wasn't plugged in. The tub was stained and the caulk looked dirty. We sprayed the room with an air freshener, but had to use it again the next morning.”

• They told us the Continental Breakfast was from 7-9. When we had to leave at 6, it was ready!
• It's too close to the railroads--Train whistles woke me several times.

• The staff were very friendly.
• Right between a highway and train tracks, very noisy.

“It was noisy and could stand a bit of updating. The heating unit in our room was to loud to leave on while trying to sleep and it was to cold not to have it on!”

• Great receptionist at front desk, set the stage for a good stay. Good breakfast.
• No pool indoors and sheets were wrinkly and mattress pad lumpy.

• It was a clean space to sleep with plenty of hot water.
• It did not have an indoor pool.

“The La Quinta is a pleasant place to stay, right off of the Interstate in Cheyenne. There is easy access to historic Downtown Cheyenne, and it provides all of the basic amenities to a pleasant stay; the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, I had control of the heat in my room and the room itself was not "dated." all in all it was a very nice place to rest each evening.”

• Uncomfortable bed and pillows, starchy towels.

“If you're looking for a place to rest your head and not much else you've found it here. Located close to the interstates is La Quinta hotel. It may not be very comfortable or luxurious but it is hard to beat it price and location. Clean, quiet rooms, that little coffee pot in your room, etc. You know, pretty much everything you need when you are road tired and need to crash. The beds and pillows have a lot to be desired so best to bring your own pillow (a travelers creedo).”

• Friendly, helpful staff.
• No instructions on how to activate the shower. Had to call the front desk. The second person called new the answer.

“The hotel is close to I 25 which is good and close to a very busy railroad line. We turned the AC on and it completely dround out the train noise. Natives are hospitable and friendly. They are the biggest asset of Cheyenne.”

• Not a good experience at all.
• Approx. 12 trains per hour passed within 500 feet of hotel.

“This hotel in not up to normal La Quinta standards. Needs a major renovation but is too close to the multiple railway tracks that handle a train every five minutes. The trains try to limit the whistle blowing but the noise is still too much.”

• Staff attempted to charge me for my stay upon departure.

“Pleasantly set back from the nearby road. La quintal has an attractive entrance which leads you directly to the main desk. The representative identified herself and provided complete information about room location and additional amenities.”

• It was close to the freeway, but away from the downtown noise.
• Did not have indoor pool.

“We were really pleased with this hotel. We stayed for three days and it was great. The room was nice and large with a desk which came in handy with having two young children with us. It was very clean and very accommodating to our needs.”

• The front desk staff was very helpful.
• The heater cycled hot and cold.

“If you want to know where to dine in Cheyenne just ask the front desk. We asked for 2 choices for 2 nights stay and both were excellent. The first room they gave us had a water problem and they switched us no problem within minutes but to a room that had heating issues. Lucky for us it wasn't too cold.”

• The floor needed a good vacuum and the bathroom had hairs in it.

“Good hotel for a quick rest while on the road. I would not suggest this hotel for an extended stay. The rate, location and friendly staff were the best things about this hotel. Not much choice in Cheyenne though.”

• Cleanliness was not to expectations, we had small children and had problems with the number of rooms around us with barking dogs. Hard to sleep.

“I was not very pleased with this hotel due to the age and cleanliness of the hotel. As noted above, it was disappointing to have to put up with the amount of pet noise we had to put up with. We had small children (2 and 11 months) who were constantly awaken due to barking dogs in I believe 2 different rooms. Each time there was someone who walked by those rooms or a noise outside or whatever, they would bark for a significant amount of time. I expect noise levels to be at a minimum after 10 PM.”

• Flies everywhere! Room, Lobby... Can recommend to anybody.

“I do not recommend this motel to anyone unless you do not care flies. They are every where! We went to first room, it has fly. We ask for different room, it still has fly. At lobby, the flies are every where. I counted on the counter along, it has 4 flies!”

• One of our rooms smelled like smoke.

“This is a good hotel with clean rooms. The only problem we had was that we checked in very late and one of our 2 rooms smelled like smoke. They couldn't switch us because they were full except for one on the top floor, and we had kids with us, so it was a bit disappointing. Everything else was fine, though. Fairly good breakfast.”

• I was very impressed with how clean it was. I worry about that with less expensive hotels and it is important.
• The staff at the front desk were a little "rough around the edges". Breakfast area not kept terribly clean.

“I really liked staying here. I would stay again as it was everything we needed: clean, convenient, pool, breakfast, comfortable, cable TV.”

“Free Internet access is certainly a plus for this hotel. However, looking at other 2 star hotels in the area, I don't think this one is as nice. The location is right next to train tracks, the rooms are quite Spartan, and the beds were uncomfortable. Did it do the job, though? Yes.”

• The small beds. The room we got were two beds even though it was just my wife and I. The beds were even smaller then most hotels, more like a single.

• It was very clean, updated and convenient to the interstate.
• Children were a bit noisy around 7 A.M. on Saturday morning.

“We really felt that this hotel was a good place to stay. It was well taken care of and updated. It is convenient to the interstate though a bit tricky to find the entrance. The breakfast was included and contained a variety of foods with waffles available to heat. We would definitely stay here again.”

“The hotel was very clean and had lots of amenities. My only problem was that I called to reserve a crib and rollaway bed ahead of time, but they had no record of it, and I didn't end up getting the rollaway (they had run out). They also seemed to have only one front desk person, which made it hard to find someone there.”
